screen rotation garbled when opening/closing kb - XPERIA X1 General

hi guys,
just picked up my x1i...
does anyone have 'issues' when opening/closing the kb with the screen?
1/5 times the screen would be garbled and not rotate correctly

Mine has never played up. It's a little slow reloading my appointments but no other drama with any of the panels I have installed.
I can't help.

Programs that work in horizontal mode - problem

It's about Thunderhawk web browser and Vitrual Pool Mobile (a pool game). They both work in horizontal mode. Having my screen aligned vertically (default) they work fine, I can awnser calls, read notifications and come back to the program without any problem. When I set the today screen to the horizontal alignment the programs starts and works fine, but after a call or a notification is displayed on the screen, the alignment suddenly changes to vertical and upside down! The program is displayed normally, so I have to guess where to touch the screen in order to exit to the today screen. After coming back to today screen everything works fine, the screen is aligned horizontally, as it was before the call or a notification came. My rom is AKU2, I use O2 and have made some standard registry hacks (cache size, edge icon, etc.). Help!

Screen Freezes In Text Messaging??

If I am in the text messaging screen in landscape mode, and close the phone into portrait mode, the screen does not completely rotate.
The top portion of the screen switches, and the bottom menu bar switches, but there is a section about 1/3 the size of the screen that remains in landscape mode until I close the text message program.
It only does it in texting, no other programs cause this problem with the screen, and it has only started doing it since I hard reset the phone.
Any help??
Yeah, texting does some strange stuff for me too. Sometimes when I push the button to select the contact i want to text it takes quite awhile for it to bring up the texting screen. And yes, same as you on the switching from landscape.
hmm.... That's wierd. I cant seem to find anything else relating to this problem
i am having the same problem also.. but recently it stopped.. idk wuts going on?
well, i figured out what the problem was with mine. It was doing it because I hacked the registry for the SIP to completely kill the pop-up keyboard. After re-enabling it, no more screen issue.

How to prevent rotation (not the usual opera thing!)

For some reason even though it never used to do it, my touch hd has begun to rotate the screen automatically when it's in my pocket etc.
When I press the standby button to wake it up it's usually the wrong way up now, and it's annoying having to wait a few seconds to rotate the correct way round. It never used to do this, but it would still rotate things like opera and photos etc by turning the phone and that's great.
Why would it have begun behaving like this? I have got Gyrator installed but have never set anything up on it and it's been there for ages so I doubt it's that.
Cheers!
Have you upgraded with any og the Gyrator / G-Sensor cabs?
Regardless - search for "changescreen" on the Themes/Apps/S/ware forum and use that to set programs you do not wish to rotate.
Thanks mate.
No I haven't upgraded the gyrator cab or the G sensor one (I don't think anyway....).
As I say I haven't even used gyrator as I'm not certain how to set it up and decided I didn't really need to anyway.
Have installed changescreen (cheers for the tip) and set Manila in it to only have upright portrait mode. It seems to work but not quite fully.
For instance, if I have the phone on its side (landscape) and on standby, then wake it up, it comes on in landscape.
It does then change to portrait after a couple of seconds, even if it's on its side so the software does what it should do, but that delay while it kicks in is still pretty annoying to be honest.
Is that normal with this app?
Bottom line is that the phone didn't do this until recently so there must be something that has changed and can therefore be undone, but I don't know what.
Appreciate the help.

[REQ] Any G-sensor Application can rotate based on shaking?

I very much appreciate that the diamond has G-sensor and can rotate itself based on the orientation. And I actually love this feature. But when I am reading or surfing webpages, or doing something else, it is really annoying if the screen rotates just because some minor orientation changes of my device or sometimes when my body moves a little. It is really annoying because I need to wait probably some time to rotate the screen back.
Is there anyway or any program can set the screen rotate only on shaking or define the angle difference of the device to rotate the screen? I really love the idea that when I hold my device and then shake it, and only the shaking can activate the G-sensor. But can we do that? Does this kind of apps exist?
Thanks!

Screen overly sensitive

I've got the VS995 with alpha rom and so far it's working great but I've noticed particularly today the screen is very jittery. What I mean by this is that when I'm typing by tapping (swiftkey) the keyboard, it registers too many letters or when I'm using the swiping method it breaks up the single swipe into mulitple words even though I've not lifted my finger. There is also a problem when I'm scrolling up and down my app drawer it will jump into an app I've not tapped on. All this has become worse since earlier today when I disabled all the verizon apps.
Is there any way I can change the sensitivity of the touch screen to limit these false touches.
