Facebook app cannot remember login info?

Hello,
When I use the facebook app come with HD2, I found that the app cannot remember my email and password even though I checked "Save Login" already. I need to enter them everytime when I run the apps.
Anyone faced similar problem? Any solution?
Thanks.
Edward
Close the app by hitting the X in the top right corner and never select log out/sign out.

Thanks a lot for your reply. However, actually I used X to close the program (although I use task manager to close the application instead of minimising it) instead of log out. I also noted that in the registry there is a key called "login" under facebook. However, everytime when I run the app, the program still asks me to enter username and password.
I am getting this problem also.
It all started after the phone cocked up opening an email from the sense viewer - I had to soft reset and after that the HD2 had lost all passwords, email acounts and Wi-Fi keys etc. Every thing is fine now I have re-entered the details apart from the facebook app?
I have tried re-installing facebook but that doesn't help.
I know most people recommend using the web version, but I quite like the app and this is a real pain in the ass to input password each time I use it
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
Same problem over here. It happened to me yesterday while installing and de-installing some custom manilla cab's ( sorry, I can't recall which). I had to reinsert all my passwords but the facebook app is the only one keeping asking for the login info.
I appreciate if somebody come with any ideas. Really I don't want to hard reset my device.
Thanks
It doesn't happen to me at all. It didn't on my previous 3 wm phones. I don't know why you get this behavior.
Me too
I allso have this problem. My phone suddenly lost "all" settings, and now Facebook won't remember my credentials.
Me too!
Wont remember my login details?!
My phone has lost all settings today twice (wi-fi key, email settings etc), and still won't remember fb at all!
Would a hard reset be the best bet for resolving this?
No idea mate, but I hope not! Dont want to loose everything!
The same problem here. Any solutions ??
Same problem here, always requires username/pass everytime. Very frustrating
Unfortunatelly it is same here too
extremely annoying!
The solution for this has already been found. Install Omarket and search for the facebook app.

YouTube does NOT login

YouTube does not login says Connection Error - There was a connection error trying to login.
I thought it would be nice to automatically upload the videos to YouTube but going to settings and data services then choosing YouTube it insists there is a connection problem but I surf just fine and am always connected to 3g. anyone knows what is the problem? Thanks.
yeah same problem on mine hd2 when i'm trying to upload video directly from albums i get the same message, looking for answer for whole day - still nothing...any ideas guys?
I had the same problem when trying to log into the facebook data sync feature when I first got the phone. Basically I think your problem is that your youtube password has symbols in it, because my old facebook password had symbols in it when I tried to log in it would say "connection error" but then if I tried to log in with an incorrect password it said "incorrect password" so I changed my facebook password so it was just letters and numbers and it worked on the first time I tried,
hope this helped you,
Alex
i had t-mobile and it does not accept youtube login. moreover there is no youtube support as well... checkout this http://ibuymobile.co.uk/reviews/2010/02/06/t-mobile-uk-rips-htc-hd2-customers/

Nope that is not the problem, I changed my password to 8 chars digits only still doesn't work at all. I gotta say this is my 4th and probably last HTC device. There are always irritating bugs in HTC software in most basic features. Damn it, the YouTube login is an internal feature of HTC software and even that doesn't work, these guys are really something. What's the use in having features if I cannot use them like the youtube, which woule have been nice uploading videos directly to YouTube.

Calm down mate. It works perfectly for me and everyone else most of the time. Occassionaly, there will be an issue with the YouTube servers that stops the app functioning fully. It's nothing to do with the app or HTC, so get onto YouTube and complain to them, because that's where the problem is. Otherwise, it wouldn't be intermittent. It just wouldn't work, or it would.
mine has never worked

There are similar complains about the YouTube account access not working in many other forums, mostly from users who have switched to 1.66 ROMs. As a matter of fact, it does not work for me either through the settings tab/data services.
On the other hand, I can easily log into my YouTube account through Opera...
can you upload through opera?

i dont have t-mobile and when i started my HD2 for the first time i also got that error.. after rom upgrade to 1.66 the same.. my password is only letters and 1 number so that cant be the problem.
johncmolyneux please get your facts right.
It is NOT a problem with youtube and it didn't work for the past 3 days. So I doubt it's a problem with their servers don't you think?
Also see what others are saying like Tomo1340 which says it never worked for him also. tictac0566 says the same thing and also jamieeeee. So I am not hallucinating and this is not a very specific problem.
It's just another bug by HTC. I can't believe these guys, when they release a new ROM they fixed some issues and then create others. Amazing, how such an apparent bug missed their eyes. In which from their very own app trying to login to YouTube doesn't work.
It would have been very nice to able to capture a video and instantely upload it to the YouTube through the camcorder app, wouldn't it?
May I also say that I have two HD2, one for me and one for my wife. I have tested it after hard reset with no app installed at all and it still doesn't work! Amazing.. By the way, I am not using T-Mobile and my password is just 8 digits.

Fine. Good luck with your anti-HTC campaign. I DID get my facts right and you simply didn't like it.
Think I'll go and upload some vids to YouTube now. Bye
there is a problem though, I hadn't managed to upload a single file or even connect on any of the roms I have used. my password is 12 characters with no symbols. is one supposed to login with a google email address that's linked to YouTube or a user name?
The Youtube function in Sense just doesn't work at all. You'd better simply use the browser.
john says his works. you can email the files through but I don't know how well it works.
Like I said, it's fine for me. It may be a provider issue, but it's definitely not HTC software at fault here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqVH9sOyh7g
doesn't work over WiFi for me.
It does not work with me either. Whenever I try to upload to youtube it says there is some connection error. Using opera to login to youtube works like a charm.
My password is very long (more than 20 characters) and I think that this could be the problem. But I do not want to change my password, because it's the same password as for gmail and I have set this account on multiple computers and on the HD2.
The way around is to use email - YouTube -> My Account -> Account Settings -> Mobile Setup. There you can find a unique email address to which you can send the video. Just add that email address as a contact and send the video to it when you want to upload to youtube. Works perfectly...
works fine for me on everyrom I've tried..
I suspect it's an isp blocking thing, maybe a proxy interfering.

[Q] Cannot upload to youtube anymore

Hey guys
After a long while, I wanted to upload a video again from my HTC HD2.
So I recorded the video, and decided to upload it to YouTube, when I did go to my Album, and then 'Share' and then 'YouTube' and then clicking on the video, and then clicking 'Next', then my I get an error.
HTCAlbum.exe crashes.
I already tried to hardreset, and reïnstalling my ROM, but the problem still appears.
Later I saw that in Data Services in the settings of HD2, that the YouTube service is not slided on, when I logged in, it was still not going on.
Does anyone know how to fix this? or does anyone have this problem too?
Since a few days I also have the problem that my camera won't start randomly, it tells me 'Could not initialize camera' or something like that.
I dont know if this problem is in connection with the problem that I just explained above, but maybe someone knows a solution for this too.
Thanks in advance!
Greetz,
Joshoon
Anyone a clue?
I also have the same problem

So... this could be the same problems as there was with the Twittertab?
YouTube changed something in their servers, and now we can't login anymore?

Yea I knew that, it was very annoying when Twitter didnt work.
Now I dont use YouTube uploading too much, but I use it sometimes, and it is a feature of the phone, so I want it working
I think it has something to do with your account login settings but how to change those I am not sure! I know mine are wrong because I signd in with the wrong account and it kept saying temporarily unavailable when i tried to upload so i went to upload it from my pc and i realized my error. i am now trying to find out how to change the login settings to my real account info but i may just have to hard reset which sucks because i have so many tweaks so if anyone knows how to change the youtube account login info on the hd2 please let me know [email protected]

I think it is not my account, because it just worked fine before.
But I don't use my HD2 that much anymore, so I don't care about this problem anymore
its something with the uploader or the service.
I am using stock sprint rom 6.5 on my Touch Pro 2. clean install uploader works flawlessly. after so many uploads or so many days it stops working.
it uploads 100% then says failed service temporarily unavailable. FOREVER.
if I hard reset the phone it works again for a short time then stops again forever.
so "something" is "changing" that is "undone" when you hard reset.
suggestions? I REALLY REALLY like being able to click and upload using the web browser is enough of a pain in the ass that I would simply not do it any more.

[Q] Problems using Twitter apps on my WP7 HD2

I've tried Twitter, I've tried Seisemic, I've tried resetting my password, no matter what, with multiple tries, I can't get either Twitter client to sign into my Twitter account. It works fine on the desktop, and was working on Android just before. Does anyone else have this problem and know the solution? Thanks.
Found out what the problem is, I had time on auto and it was the wrong time-zone.
