Hi everybody,
I'm using Flexilis (still in Beta), which has "the localisation"/Find My Phone-function.
Flexilis finds my phone pretty fast, but in a radius of 3km :-s.
Am I the only one who can't find my phone very detailed on the map on Flexilis?
I would like to hear everyone's results with the Localisation on Flexilis :-D

Guys,
Been looking for a long time for this but I have forgotten (until now) the treasure trove of info that is xda-developers.com
I've got a Wizard (appropriately magic!) and aside from the crappy camera it's pretty much (my) ideal. Having moved from the k750i to this it was a reality check! Anyway, I had the MDAc as well and with a bit of tweaking it was possible to achieve semi-decent pictures with it. I hope someone can find appropriate settings for the Wizard.
Anyway, my query is this: I once had a series 60 Nokia and purchased two great apps - PhotoFusion and PhotoTwister:
http://www.scalado.com/?oid=378&_locale=1
http://www.scalado.com/?oid=379&_locale=1
I also had similar apps on my p900. These allow you to add distortion etc in real time to your photographs (good for taking funny contact pics) and also to construct, for example, big panorama images (horizontally and vertically).
I would love to have a similar application (or applications) on my Wizard, though I can't find any similar products. Am I just not looking hard enough?
Stegz
If it helps jog memories at all, there was another similar (but not as good) application on the Nokia called CameraFX.
POCKET GOO
this Software is very very nice to Twist images...
it's alot of fun , you should try:
http://www.download.com/Pocket-Goo/3000-2176_4-10214953.html
It's close - more of an after-effects type arrangement though.
That cameraFX app was great... my sister wasn't too happy with the contact picture I had for her though!
VIto FindMe lets you send your location via an encrypted SMS to a friend also using Vito FindMe and then allow them to input the co-ordinates into Google Maps to see where you (and they) are at that time.
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-vito-findme.html
Downside is the fact that it appears to be currently working with "Pocket PC Phone Edition with built-in GPS receiver". May have to wait for the possible GPS unlock later this year to test it with our Moguls.
Just as info...
Hi, i've already post it on the gps unlock thread, but for someone who wish interesting free navigation soft... Get a look at
http://www.gpsunderground.com/forums/index.php
If you like vito, try Vito smart navagtor, that combine all the Vito tools...
And may be Tracky will interest you.
Also Navizon and Reperion may be tryed.
In fact when i've got my P4000 the tech supp, was tolding me that the gps chip of my device was not locked-up, and that i should found and 3rd app that fit my device....(that techn was less knowing than me lol)
So i tried many app.

http://www.navizon.com/phpbb2/index.php (Navizon is a peer-to-peer virtual gps using cell tower, with a reward program for the users that help creat the localisation net. Advantage get localisation in city or subway (like subway maps) were some other gps failled, but in regional area it"s really not the better one's 'cause it need cell towers)
yea but taht VITO FindMe doesnt work with 6800 tho
Does not work with 6800 yet !!
True... Mentioned it in my post. There might be a work around to get it to work though and considering the talent of the forum, I am sure someone will find a way.
FindMe generates position errors of up to 150 metres when I try it. i think it may be miscalulating the lat/long in decimal from the lat/long returned by the GPS. GPS is OK with all other GPS apps I have run on my Kaiser (v1615).
Apart from that it's a great app
Hi, Does anyone know of a really good sports type gps tracker software?
I'm a keen cyclist and i'm sure there are lots of other outdoor types who would welcome a good, easy to use application with a full feature set. Samsung have just launched a phone with this in mind, Nokia already have one so it must be a growing market.
I had a Nokia N80 and downloaded Their Sports Tracker application and it was great. Just the stuff you needed - Timers, average speed, max/min speed, altitude, climing speed etc, even took out standing time (i think). You could upload to google maps if you wanted which was fine but not essential.
The Samsung mentioned earlier has music too geared to your activity.
I've tried lots of PPC apps like tracky and trackme and GPS tuner but the just dont seem to fit the bill, they are either too heavy and complicated and use too much memory or they are too simple with not enough usefull data.
I'm really suprised Windows mobile haven't got a better app for this - or maybe there is and I just don't know it yet.
Any Ideas - suggestions?
Roger
for you the same: dont douple post ! one question is enought, try search, this is a developers page.
This is the kind of application I wanted as well, so wrote one myself:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424423
It looks I should have posted it into Development thread instead?
Hello everybody!
I'm for quite some time now working on my own turn-based PocketPC game called "PoRoBa". More accurately, it's a game-framework, but whatever. I'm a student and have just access to one PocketPC - my own old MDA III. So, I've not had yet the chance to test it on any other hardware yet. Therefore, here's my plea:
Please go to http://www.poroba.com/ , give the game a spin and tell me your impressions - even if it's just "didn't work". Any comments here or in my shoutbox are highly appreciated!
And since this is a technical forum, some details:
PoRoBa was written completely in C# and relies just on .Net 2.0 and GAPI. Everything from there was exclusively written by me (image-handling, compressions, text-rasterization, ...). And no, there is no sound or music
Thank you,
KoMaXX
Not quite my kind of games (thus I didn't really test a lot), but it works on HTC Artemis, WM6.1.
works so far alltough i didn't find the time to test all the funtions..
These are great news
I was afraid, it wouldn't even start or crash immediatly without any error-messages!
I just got a bug-report, that the game would crash, when some Hardware-Buttons were pressed, but unfortunately I can't reproduce the bug and the reporter didn't leave a number.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Trace-Me enables you to trace where you’ve been and augment that information with pictures and stories that you’ve taken on the road. It’s especially nice for holidays or any other trip. It can be used by yourself to afterwards see where you’ve been and what you’ve done, but you can also give your friends and family the opportunity to watch where you are live in real time.
Trace-Me is in beta and is free to use.

Interesting app.......
cool idea.
I guess it uses only GPS and not any triangulation stuff.
So, my qtek s200 is off the table.
For now it only uses GPS that's right. Triangulation would be a nice feature to add. I'll scribble it down on my 'wanted features' list.
Neat, I love the idea.
Triagulation
Yeah.. i´m out too.. please please use triagulation also...
google must have some api for it... as google map mobile uses triangulation...
I'm developing for (Compact) .NET. So I would need some C# code to do the triangulation or at least get the cell ids and hook them up to some database. Feel free to leave any tips behind.
of course you can always use an external GPS if your phone doesn't have an internal GPS
I've managed to get some code working that uses cell ids to fetch position instead of GPS. So all people without GPS enabled phones should now be able to use Trace-Me aswell.
Since this is pretty fresh stuff I could really use some volunteers for testing this stuff. Please send an email to [email protected] if you want to test this stuff. Or goto the Trace-Me forum (goto English->General and reply to the 'volunteer to test non-GPS location algorithm' topic)
Ok it seems I've had some major problem with people trying to access the website and actually see their data. Something with cross domain and flash and webservices and all that jazz.
Since the webservice is running from my own domain I would very kindly like to ask a bunch of you to visit this link and please tell me that you're seeing (should take about 1 minute MAX!) a drives list at the left side of the screen (16e heenreis, 17e lagos, etc, etc).
Just leave a reply in here thanks!
I'm seeing your drives list.
k, awesome, it seems to work for everyone now
