Hi everybody,
I got a problem with the FM-Radio on my X1:
I downloaded and installed Power Radio. When I try to start it, it gives me an error: "cant open GFMAPI". I searched for "gfmapi" and found this thread
I downloaded the GFMAPI 1.5B and extracted it - however I do not understand how to use those files. When I run the APITest.exe, it tells me
FMGetNumDevs = 1
Failed to init FM radio
FMOpen(0) = 0
Pressing any buttons leads to Err 87.
The SonyEricsson Radio panel does not seem to work, either.
Does anybody have a clue what I could try or what's screwed up here??
Thanks lots for your help in advance,
cmdkeen

G'day All,
Got an XDA I here that's giving me the "white screen of death" It will start into the Bootloader (5.15) with the Action/Reset/power combo - But comes up with "GSM Error" which I understand means that the Radio Stack has died.
Ironically, this has actually occurred without playing with this unit at all!! (Just normal service!)
Does anyone know of a technique (SD card or otherwise) to restore the Radio Stack and get past this problem?
Cheers!
Andy
I just fixed a unit yesterday that had the same problem.
What I did was keep pressing the record & Contacts buttons until the welcome screen came up after that was completed. (Note this went on for
about 10 min.)
I then connected it to my PC logged on as a Guest via ActiveSync the used ActiveSync Explorer and copied the needed Radio Stack files over in the Windows root folder and ran the RSUpgrade.exe and reinstalled the Radio Stack. Your success rate may very.
Needed Radio Stack files:
RSUpgrade.exe
RSUpgrade.cp64
monitor_ul_bs.map
monitor_ul_bs.m0
FYI not knowing what OS was on the unit I upgraded it first to the AT&T pre-release WM2003 thats available on MPX200.org via the boot loader method and then used the included A.33.01 RS files to reinstall the RS.
BTW the link to the above pre-release can be found on the front page of this forum.
Good luck and HTH
Hi, i've tried extracting the files and i've got:
Orilgsm.005
000setup.999
MONITO~1.002
MONITO~1.003
RSUPGR~1.000
RSUPGR~1.001
RSUPGR~1.004
What can i do to get the four files u suggest?
Ta
MJ
Recovering from a cactus Radio Stack
Thanks for that..
Catch is though that the unit doesn't want to present a "Welcome Screen".. or boot into PPC? Just a white screen with blue strip at the top and the keyboard selector at the bottom right.
ActiveSync won't recognise the unit either...
You mention "Record / Contacts" buttons.. Could you possibly give me more details on this? If I can get the unit talking with ActiveSync again, then all should be fine reloading the Stack.. But it just doesn't seem to boot properly...
Any thoughts greatly appreciated!
Cheers.
Andy
looks like you're extracting em on a filesystem that can only handle 8.3 filenames, like dos etc
try in w95 - xp or on a mac
maltloaf
You need to either extract the hole ROM upgrade file
or run it, once its finished 'unpacking' the files cancel out of it. It should leave everything in place in C:\Program Files\SX56 upgrade utility\english
HTH

Hi,
I have installed an 4.01.15 ENG rom from http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/.
And now I can't install any other ROM with the following error:
ERROR: GetDeviceData - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote
host.
error getting devicedata
I know its a known problem however from what ive seen it only happens when trying to downgrade. Well I'm trying to install a newer version and this still happens.
What can be done?
Thanks alot,
hackid.

Yes your right it's a well known problem bcz you used the T-mobile rom 4.01.16, You just need to flash back your unit using the Sd method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=3274
Even if i try to upgrade??
The problem is taht i dont have an SD nor an SD reader/writer.
What can I do?
What actually fails?
Maybe its just an API that can be patched?

Hi everybody,
I own a HTC P3600 (under the S300+ brand) and despite a lot of attempt to setup a bluetooth connection it seems that the hardware is not recognized at all.
I have the message "there is no bluetooth hardware installed" and each time i check the BT box "activate BT" when i switch back to the activaton tab the option is unchecked. When i try to scan other devices i have an error message "problem with the bluetooth hardware"
I thought i could find a software that could verify the hardware configuration like the one we have on win XP or a driver i could install over the actual configuration but i didnt find anything.
At first the internal GPS didnt work as well but after i flashed the OS with the original OS version + the radio extension V1.48 it now works fine. However i would like to use my external BT GPS (sirf III) which is more accurate and efficient.
I'm really desperate and dont know what to do to activate the BT.
i tried hardware and soft reset, even an OS upgrade (WM6) without results.
If anyone has an idea of what i could do to test the hardware to verify if the BT is dead or if its related to a software problem.
Just one more bump and if nobody has any idea well then i give up..

Try upgrading/reflashing you Radios.
same problem after a backup restore. Hardware error radio 1.56.70.11
Hi, i've discovered that is a registry problem but i don't know what is the wrong key to repalce it
My FM radio has suddenly stopped working, when I click on the radio icon the radio screen pops up with the thinking timer working for a few seconds then kicks me back to the home screen
The only thing I have done different to the handset is installed TOMTOM software, its standard ROM out of the box with no tinkering.
Any ideas other than uninstalling the TOMTOM
I can't help you with a detailed solution but I know that TomTom is messing with the bluetooth drivers. The FM receiver is part of the bt chipset
Try searching for "tomtom and bluetooth" in this forum for a guide how to restore the drivers.
good luck!
M.
if I uninstall the TOMTOM do you think it will bring the FM radio back or has it permenantly changed the bluetooth drivers until they are updated?
**EDIT**
ok just a quick update incase anyone searches and comes across this thread, I did a search and found that TOMTOM does infact disable the FM radio and bluetooth so this is what I did
open file explorer
hit menu
select show all files
in my device select windows folder
scroll down until you find these files and delete:
BtCoreIf.dll
BtSdkCE30.dll
All is well again )
Dear,
I have a problem regarding the sound using the Windows Mobile Rom Full Thaihugo.
The problem is that the sound does not work on the side of Windows Mobile and when I do the connection attempt ends up crashing sound in Windows Vista.
I ended up installing the ROM before installing the radio and here he is in the Radio version 1.65.26.02. I tried to install the radio 1.27 but the process stops at 95% and does not end. When he reaches the 95% failure presents an update and Brick Windows Mobile, requiring you to reinstall the rom.
How can I install it on the Radio 1.27?
How do I use this device to work would have enabled it to stay the phone makes it easy.
I would like to help you to install the Radio and correction of the sound.
Seizing the opportunity, there is a rom that works with bluetooth headphones?
I appreciate the help.
Note: My English is very bad and so I'm translating via Google translator. Disregard errors of agreement ...
Dear,
I managed to solve the problem related to sound in Windows Mobile. Follow to solve the next step with the Rom Thaihugo already installed:
1 - Download Radios of 1.27 and 1.58.
2 - Install the Radio 1:58
3 - Install 1.27 on the Radio to 1.58.
I leave the link below I used the Radio 1:58. Radio 27.1 can be found in the corresponding post Thaihugo Rom.
docs.google.com/#folders/folder.0.0B87k67kcw44ZZDdmMjQ2OGEtMDI5ZC00ZGMzLThlYzYtZWNkNDQ0N2Y1M2U1 -> just enter the https in front.
It is only a question of support for bluetooth headphones for the connection.
Hugs.
