Hello everybody
I'm having a problem here after I installed the tf3d
every time i restart my X1, I need to go to the com manger, turn off the phone, then turn it on again, the phone then asks for the PIN, and everything after that is ok.
I even uninstalled the tf3d, but no good
any ideas?
Solved.
set the network selection to manual, choose the network, choose the the preferred network.
I also cancelled the "request PIN" at start up

I've setup my VPN connection but it seems very hit or miss, more miss than hit...
I'm prompted for my UserID & Password and tick the box to save the password, the VPN connects great. It will connect maybe a couple of time after this, and then suddenly fail.
If I re enter my password it fails, but reentering my UserID & password will normal make it work again.
Am I doing something wrong, once setup I would expect it to not change or is this a common problem ?
I have exactly the same problem!
I usually have to restart the device to get it to work..or go into the vpn menu and tap and hold the vpn connection and choose "connect" to get in..
usually I have to restart though
I have tried everything but cant locate the problem point...it is just as u said..hit and miss!!
I have 2 devices (both qtek 9100) and both do the same thing...and on my universal I cant even get in at all....
do we have any solution to this problem??
After I successfully updated to the latest WM6 rom I can no longer connect to the internet on the cingular network. I have tried to reprogram all the connection information from another source on the internet but my browsers are not picking up the settings.
If anyone can shed some light on the situation I would be very grateful.
thank in advance.
Try applying this cab file to restore your settings. It should work for connecting through the wap.cingular APN.
Thanks for the quick reply I tried applying this cab file and installed very smoothly. Do I need to go to the connections settings and change something because it stil did not work.
I also have an issue with the sim manager, it will not start and I get a message that "phone is not ready please try in 15 minutes" have you encountered these problems when you upgraded?
thanks again!
I haven't had any problems after upgrading to any of the ROMs I've flashed. What you might want to do is set up a new connection using the isp.cingular APN. The username would be [email protected] and the password is CINGULAR1. Call it My ISP or REAL ISP, whatever you want. Then, go to Start>Settings>Connections>Connections>Advanced. Tap "Select Network" and choose the isp.cingular network as your default. Tap and hold on that network and choose "Connect". Can you now connect??
nevermind I didnt know I had to go to the connections setup and change it to MyISP, and now it works great.
I restarted the phone and the message that the "phone is not ready" went away but the problem comes back when I turn the wi-fi on and the phone goes on stand by. If I turn the phone back on I see that the wi-fi is disconnected and it has to reconnect everytime, and I also get the message (cannot execute\windows\nrdwakeup.exe).
Do You have any idea what could be happening.
thanks again
Ok this is starting to annoy me now.
Every time I boot up my phone, it IMMEDIATLY wants to connect. Obviously, since I haven't giving my password in, so no phone service is available yet, it fails.
So every single time I boot my phone I get to see this message (see picture below). The only way to get it gone, is to press Negeren (Ignore).
Is there a solution that doesn't immediatly wants to connect, but waits with connecting when the phone actually has service to connect?
Thanks, Lennart
(Quick translation of the picture: The modem on the other side has disconnected. Tap settings to check the connection settings and change if neccesary)
Same problem here ...
Don't want to irritate you guys by bumping, but really wondering if anyone has a solution for this.
Or even the same problem?
Thanks
I think that the problem is My location, which can't be full disabled.
Each startup My location trying to detect phones location.
For me i have "Select Time Zone" after each startup after connection established
How to fix - don't know
There is a way to disable MyLocation, using BsB...
Hmm, don't want to use an option that requires total disable of another program
Hello,
I just bought a Leo. My provider is Vodafone IT.
From the very first moment, while WiFi is present in my house, the phone tried to connect to Internet via UMTS. It does so often when Wifi is temporarily unavailable.
After my old Glofiish M800, one year ago, made me spend 3€ for two consecutive connections for the duration of a half second each (1.50€ on connection then) I requested Vodafone to completely disable Internet access for my SIM card. All I did then was to connect the PDA to USB cable and SPB Weather immediately tried to update weather without even waiting for Net via ActiveSync to become available in a few seconds.
With Leo, I also deleted all network access points from configuration, set all profiles to Office Network and unchecked (my ROM is Italian) "This connection has Internet access" "Questa connessione dispone di accesso a Internet".
What occurs now is that often, but really OFTEN, even during the night, especially when I'm on the road and I'm not interested in Facebook, YouTube or weather, the phone turns on and two popup appear:
One as a notification "Called: " (before deleting AP "Called: web.omnitel.it" "Chiamata effettuata: web.omnitel.it"). The other as error message about problems with GPRS.
I also have to pay great attention to the second popup. Once, but fortunately not today, it went over the lock screen and I was unable to unlock it as the slider was below the popup. I was also unable to close the popup as the screen was locked so I had to soft-reset.
I only installed TomTom and Core Player for now.
I DON'T WANT TO PAY VODAFONE LOTS OF MONEY FOR UMTS ACCESS WITHOUT MY CONSENT, NOR SIGN UP FOR FLAT PLANS AS I HAVE WIRELESS ACCESS IN EVERY PLACE I USUALLY GO!!!
Can somebody help me tell Leo to NEVER TRY to use UMTS? I had to agree with Vodafone that I would have been unable to even send MMSs and perform videocalls until I restore UMTS, but I can't spend this huge money for the sake of weather and for greedy (it's the right word) software that just want to connect to the Internet whenever THEY want (ie. Windows Vista/7 does Windows Update only when Internet is detected, it never tries to connect until you do manually).
Thank you. Please anser me ASAP. If I don't find a solution, I will return the PDA to the seller (it's a great PDA, I wouldn't like to)
settings menu all settings connections connections advanced tab select networks change the top drop down to "my work network"
hope it helps!
Hi, I followed what you suggested and, in order to test faster, I tried to manually update weather from HTC Sense.
First of all, even if I uncheck the Internet access checbox from Office Network ("My work network" you mentioned), I always see it comes back again. I found that "ISP settings" only shows two tabs, and no Internet/proxy checkbox, so I also tested selecting this connection.
I also entered "*" as list of intranet addresses.
Every time I try to update weather, for all of these tests, I see the 3G arrows on top of notification bar flashing for a couple of seconds and the same exact alerts
Does your phone always connect to 3G?
[EDIT] I also tested http://www.htc.com/au/faqs.aspx?p_id=297&cat=264&id=118112, no result. But actually the help page says it clearly: it's normal that the phone will notice errors.
Is there any registry tweak or what?
Hello,
To solve your problem, go to the redfrogfish website, google to find the link. Download and install the Data Controller cab. This enables you to turn on/off the data connection function of the HD2
(I wanted to give you the link, but I am a new user and not allowed to do so)
Good Luck

I think you are going further into the settings than i need to.
settings - menu - all settings - connections - connections - switch to advanced tab - click 'select networks'
See my image 1 - setting the top dropdown to 'my work network' (or 'the internet', it gets called slightly diff thing depending on your setup, ,)) means it will look for whatever active connection is available and use that.
I also have a commmanager that has seperate on/off toggles for 3g and data.(see pic 2) So, if i turn off data connection, but leave 3g on, even though i have 3g (well, H) showing available on the top bar, if i go to update the weather it comes up with 'connection error'. If i start opera, it fails, etc etc.
Back into comm manager., turn back on the data toggle, everything works again.
If i turn off 3g, and leave data off, I get the same results.

Hello everyone
I am a Chinese user. I hope you can understand my English...
Recently I have exchanged my phone with my father's Nexus S.
When I get my Omnia7 back I find that my phone cannot use GPRS connection but only WiFi...
I can turn on the data connection and the top of the display appears "E"
but no app can access data connection, I tried to turn on internet sharing but it displayed "There's no celluar data connection to share right now."
I have tried a lot of methods to fix it...
eg:
1.run Samsung Tools, check on ADC, then reboot, it doesn't work
2.run Network Profile, select Telekom.de ,then select CMCC(my mobile service provider) back , reboot, it doesn't work
3. call ##634#, *#9908# , select Suwon 2G Test Bed and save, reboot, it doesn't work.
4. call ##634#, *#9920# , it displayed all the internet settings, every line is correctly set.
5. add APN in celluar settings, reboot, and it doesn't work.
6. I called CMCC support and had my GPRS service reset, then reboot my phone, it doesn't work.
7. I tried other's SIM cards(GSM) but the same problem. I have no 3G SIM card so I don't know what will happen when I use 3G connection...
8. I put my SIM card into Nexus S, and turn on data connection, it seems that nothing is unusual... every app goes well with GPRS connection...
My Omnia 7 was very hot and in reboot loop several days ago. I put it outside the window to cool it down.
I wonder if GPRS module is burned when it comes hot and into reboot loop?
Try the Samsung network profile app, select some other provider, then yours. works for me. Might be worth a try

Thanks for your reply.
I've tried this but it doesn't work...
I think there may be some problems in GPRS module...
Thanks anyway...
