Hi
Is there a way to make my Diamond becomes like a Blurthooth setero headphone (sound receiver not transmitter!!)
i'd like to use it with my laptop
thanks for answering
I've never seen such a solution. And that's why I've been working on an application for the diamond to provide that capability in my free time. I posted a thread on the forum, but seems like nobody is really interested as there are no replies to it.
The Diamnond has really poor Audio Quality.

Besides the Soldering and chopping up option mentioned in these forums, which is not appropriate for useres like myself, what is the best Stereo option -headset upgrade that can also receive calls with the microphone?
I have seen an adapter from 2.5-3.5, with a mocrophone, this enables you, I believe, to add any other headset after that. Any other suggestions?

Any others besides this?
From other posters it seems like anything that will fit the Sony Ericsson 900/910 phones will also work with the Magician. So you might want to try searching for SE peripherals as well.
Callers always complain that they can barely hear me when I use my headset, so I might just go and get that retractable doo-daa
The quality of music with A2DP is really bad, have much better sound with my qtek s110 with a2dp hack. I have been using the same sony ericsson ds970. Is there anything that can be done about it?
perhaps you can follow the instruction to turn on the stereo, then the sound will be better.
This is my experience to. I had a SE m600i before and the sound was way much better on that device.
The sound clearly suckes with the headset that is packet with the P3600.
The sound on the S100 was far more better.
Lets just hope the ATi chip get's activated on the rom-update, so that the Graphics and Sound get better.
guys, could you please be more specific? what exactly made you unhappy about the sound produced by HTC Trinity?
please define the problem. is it too soft, too loud, lacking bass or higher frequencies, choppy, etc, etc????
P.S. forget about stock standard wired headset supplied with your Trinity. it's bad.

ATI chip?
Guys try using the Hermes Registry Tweaker
I used the hermes registry tweaker to take BT Stereo sound from "Okay" to "Excellent" the tool has five levels of quality as well a tweak to enable true stereo rather than joint stereo.
It worked for me! You can unlock and mount EXTrom too.

It has a desturbing sound on the higher tones and the bas is muffled. I tried the fit4 program and changed to the best quality, it sounded a little bit better but it was hard to hear, beacuse now the music skips even more thnat earlier. You know you ger music for a while, it cuts of for a second and then comes back. Now it does this every 5 seconds.

just tested it here. seems to work. The setting was on LOW on my trinity.
I also tried to turn on the GPS settings, which turned on a nice little menu for configuration of the GPS. Looks promising if this is what we get
does not look like the settings gets any gps functionality to be activated besides the settings.
Excellent
Made a big diference on mine too! Nice to know it worked for you.
Try this to disable joint stereo so you get REAL stereo sound, then you will see the difference.

please see this thread for details. There are good chances for this little gem to work on Trinity as well.

you guys might also want to check out the effort made to port the WIDCOMM stack onto the hermes (to replace the microsoft BT stack). the widcomm stack is superioir and the testers so far have indicated that sound on a2dp is great. the hermes and trinity are basically the same... so it might work.
the development thread is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285419&highlight=widcomm+development

Last time I tried the Widcomm stack the stack started well, but I couldn't see any bluetooth device. The blue-led did not flash either.
Can't find any bluetooth device.

Same here ....
3D surround configuration
On page 78 of Trinity's manual there is an instruction to set the 3D surround configuration at the headset by going to
Start> Settings > Personal > 3D Surround Sound
and enabling surround sound + setting levels.
I simply can't find the "3D surround sound" selection at >Personal tab...
Can someone help me to configure (eventually by using some registry configuration) how to make this command to appear?
Seems to me this could help to improve stereo quality at P3600...

The problem with my new p3600i is that the volume is much too low. With volume control at max setting, I can just hear music in a quiet environment. e.g. an empty room. When there is any background noise, e.g walking along the street, on a train etc, it is almost inaudible. I am mainly listening to classical music, so the dynamic variation is greater than for rock etc., but nevertheless very disappointing.
I am using the supplied headset, but the sound is not loud enough to know what the quality is like.
Are there any setting I haven't found yet? All the talk about changing the ROM sounds like something which might void the warranty
thanks
John
I have used HTC_UseJointStereff.cab and HTweakC, it seems that the sound changes a little, i don't konw which helps, but they help....
Thank you all.
Hi guys, anyone using this new type of speakerphone? Wondered if anyones got any feedback on it. I like the idea of having the call routed to the car's speakers using the FM transmitter.
Ive had one for a few months now and its working great. All of the buttons on it were kind of confusing at first but I got them figured out now. Ill be happy to answer any specific questions you might have.
Hi, only wondered if in general it works ok, like the FM radio bit and the MP3 streaming?
Cheers.
Only issue you might have with it is finding a station that wont interfere with the area your in. Im in Miami Florida which is packed with radio stations (some legal and some not) and every once in a while in certain areas ill get some background static and have to switch stations but the majority of the time I can keep it on the same station without any problems.
Other than that it works flawless with the kaiser. The device does everything it claims it can do and all the buttons work as expected. I stream music with media player for hours without problems. I dont have any sound quality issues but im not an audiophile so I couldnt really tell you how good it really is streaming mp3's.
Ive never had any complaints about sound quality when using it with the phone and the voice recordings ive done sound clear to me. Hope this helps.
Sure does! Thanks very much for your review!
kaiser

I told you
Im trying to work out if this device does the same thing, but I cant work out if it actually accepts stereo bluetooth and pushes it out over FM....

Hi everyone I've searched high and low for an answer to this but the only topics I've found have related to recording phone calls...
Anyway what I want to know is is it possible to record onto the touch hd utilising either the usb socket or the 3.5m jack? I'd like to record things onto it using an external microphone because the inbuilt one distorts very quickly (I'm a percussionist, so any of the assorted things I try and record often make it start resonating and then you can't hear anything at all!)
Obviously the alternative is buy a cheap minidisc player or similar, but I just wanted to see if it was possible with the touch, as it saves me carrying an extra piece of gear around...
Cheers
Hi you could try a bluetooth hands free speaker/microphone, there ment for cars etc so maybe they do a better job than the built in mic.
this is the sort of thing I mean http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-T305-Bluetooth-Speaker-Black/dp/B000JKKE5M no idea if its any good or if there are better ones.
Ah yea that's a possibility, but I was also looking for a way to directly plug it into things, cd player etc, and I also already have quite a high quality 3.5m microphone, so it'd be a shame not to use it!
cannibalise a htc headset with mic
http://pinouts.ru/PDA/htc_extUSB_pinout.shtml
and connect something you can use to connect an mono input to the wire
Ahh good idea! So would this method just give me a mono input into the phone? And then what program would I use to record, the inbuilt one?
Heya
I have an issue with the headphones that came with my DHD. The player control on the headphones has suddenly becomes unresponsive. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. A very random behaviour.
Anyone experiencing this ? Any suggestion how to solve this ?
Cheers
MJ
Make sure it is plugged in correctly.
Try cleaning the headphone jack and blowing in the headphone port on your phone, preferably using some compressed air. Might be some dust or grime blocking the connection.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Sorry to hijack thread but related to this, does anyone know good earphones with a remote & mic that will work on the dhd?
I was looking at the klipsch s4i's but they only spout on about iphones and don't want to drop £80 on a pair that may not work.

I got those. The mic works, but not the remote. Good sound in them.
That's a shame, really fancy some decent klipsch phones, currently use s2's which are already great, but would like to keep remote functionality. I wish HTC had made the remote and mic so they'd separate from the buds cos the earbuds suck.
Anyone know of a good set of earphones, preferably not too pricey, with a working remote?
I bought the NU Force NE-M7. Great sound and with a mic. The mic has only one button for answering/ending calls and play/pauze.
Oh, and only for around $50,- Allot of other people give positive feedback on the earphones on the internet.
