Wow I didn't know that! Thanks.
sent from my Vibrant.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip.
WOW! i had no idea about this. Suggest this in the stickied post with Tips & Tricks. this one is DEFINITELY worth mentioning.
Guys, this IS in the sticky...
Make sure you're not missing other goodies...

Still nice to have it blatantly shown as a topic thread.
I've read the stickied post but after a while I stopped reading it because everything I read in there is what I already knew.
^ understood, that's why I do a change log and show the last update date in the title. I wasn't saying anything about the thread, just responding to the posts that this should be in the sticky...

Yeah, I'm the one that mentioned to post it in the Stickied thread.
I'm gonna assume that the changelog where you listed this was included at another date aside from 08/06/2010.
Possibly you could use the #3 and #5 post that you posted as a changelog as extra space and list it somewhere within the OP post to link to #3 and #5 so you have a lot more room to work with rather than being limited to one post.
Well what do you know! I was just thinking the other day that this phone doesn't have any digital zoom, not that I care about a digital zoom. Still interesting to know.
^^ nice idea man. I think I will incorporate that, thanks.
And just for those who are "not in the know", this is a digital zoom only -- akin to cropping a photo only. You're not actually getting any closer.
A neat trick, nonetheless!
i discovered it myself
another trick...in the contacts menu, dragging the contact to one side would take you to the sms screen. Dragging it to the other side would make the phone call
^ holy crap, easter eggs everywhere. Posting this in the sticky, nice man.
^^
welcome
it also works in the messaging menu pretty nifty
Not sure if everyone already saw this or there is a post already. I searched but didn't find one.

Hopefully we can use Sense on the Captivate and all the other HTC goodness(IMHO).

Looks like the project/team linked in ranjo's post has all but died out, while the project/team linked in juice's post has only just started. Though they state that they're geared toward the Epic 1st, they do state that they'll be working on getting it on all Galaxy S devices once they've finished the Epic ROM.
Good stuff.
Looks like AT&T and Motorola have got an internal build running out there. The video is interesting, things sure do look snappy.
Also it mentions Gingerbread might be coming between June and July...one can only hope!!
My only complaint is the new dialer, a tad ugly in my opinion.
(Seems that since I just lurk, I can't post links!)
It would be great if someone could post the link! The article is on DroidMatters.com and is currently their featured article.
Sooo where's the video?

not sure
Kenneth Pennington posted a link to that in the dev section. Then it gets used on droid matters. So of course it then funnels down to the General Forums and it also is on the Official Support Forums as well. Loose lips sink ships.
You've got the correct video, I tried looking around for it but I guess I missed the link in the dev section.
Sorry that I couldn't post the link! (post # restrictions)

you don't really expect it to not get some internet air time do you? once it's in a social place it will spread. won't be surprised if it will be on engadget soon :T
Same Tab, same price, but it includes a keyboard now and USB adapter.
Anyone know what keyboard it is?
Based on the picture of the packaging, it looks like a Samsung keyboard that allows you to dock the tablet in portrait mode.
How much for the keyboard, alone?

This is not done.....we are in loss...
Samsung must take care of all users...
And author edit your post that samsung is also giving away usb adapter.........

Dude, seriously? I have already searched. As of yesterday there's no keyboard listed on Samsung's site as being compatible with this tab. I haven't searched the forum as the article was just released yesterday.
Really? Why even comment at all. If you didn't like the thread, just move along.

It is an official Samsung keyboard. Why would you ask a question and then give a completely unwarranted, nasty response, that not only does nothing for this thread, but makes no sense. When did he say anything that related to him insulting you or hating on this thread? Why would Samsung release an official bundle with a keyboard that looks exactly like an official one, but is not the official one? Maybe they didn't release the accessory to force people to buy the bundle? Just because it isn't on their site doesn't mean it isn't coming in the bundle.
Ah crap! Apologies to everyone and especially to imnuts. I checked this thread this morning on my phone and for some reason the only thing I saw was the what was typed in the signature which is just a couple of links to search engine and actually thought it was his post to me. I was really baffled by it at first. But was like why this guy doesn't think I at least searched around about it at first before I posted anything.
Basically I asked a question (and thought) he replied with search engine links. If you click on the links you may see why it bothered me a little and didn't understand why he would post anything at all if that was all he had to say. But now that I am actually on a PC I see his post in its entirety and realize it was just his signature.
So again, I sincerely apologize.
However I did find this keyboard available at foreign website. I'm guessing Hong Kong. I also noticed tha tabs on that site are white.

Oh wow. I got really mad because yeah... Well, thanks for clearing it up! Also I think the tab is white in Asia.
Who has experienced scratches on their new S6 Edge? I know this has been discussed on various threads, but no one has seemed to have actually gathered statistics about how widespread this might be/is.
EDIT: This probably might belong in the Q&A section and not here, if it does a mod can feel free to move it!

Forum poll would be preferred. I don't have a google+ account, and would be easier to just keep everything on here.
Edit: Nevermind see it
Forum poll already exists im this thread. Look at first post - use web view (not working in Tapatalk)
It looks like a third of owners from TMO have a scratched screen. This is a big deal. People may want to wait and buy one at the store to make sure it is scratched free.

Definitely. Hopefully though when orders from AT&T/Verizon/Spring/others start coming in we'll be able to get a bigger picture of this whole situation. Maybe it's just a T-Mobile thing... wishful thinking?

Can any non-TMobile users chime in here? I know all the other major carriers are starting to or have already shipped units out.
i would say this is likely to be skewed results, the people with scratches screens, at least on google+, are prolly more likely to respond to this than ppl without scratched screens. Either way though, 30% on that poll saying scratched screens is a tad disconcerting..

I'd beg to argue the complete opposite - this poll is posted in the general forum, so any S6 Edge owner will come across it. Compared to the g+ poll, where you'd have to search pretty heavily to find it (at least in my case) which would generally imply you have that issue yourself - I don't spend my free time searching the internet for problems with the Flex 2 or Moto x Hopefully when more and more people get their devices we can start to paint a bigger picture about this whole situation.

The poll is critically flawed however.
It presumes those voting actually have an S6 Edge.
The fact anyone can tick yes or no without validating they actually have an S6 Edge makes any result scientifically untenable.
Anything so open to abuse without validation of proof will never be capable of truly being representative, or accurate. In a court of law, your evidence would be inadmissible.
Additionally it assumes that equal amount of people who get good and bad devices would be looking at a thread for pre-scratched screens when history as proved that those people with issues are far more likely to search and find threads than those which do not have issues with their device. It's called the distortion field of truth.
So as interesting as poll results like this are - they sadly will never ever be really indicative of a whole.

You may be right but I find it interesting it has been a steady 70 to 30 ratio since the first 10 votes. I did not expect such a steady result.

I never said these polls are completely accurate and I completely agree with what you're saying. But since there's no easy way to ensure people who are voting actually have the device, I feel like it's better to have some poll going than have nothing at all, because I highly doubt Samsung will have users "take a survey".
And maybe it's just me, but I still seem to have just *a little* faith in humanity - I like to think that people aren't being complete a-holes and ruining the polls just for fun -_-
Sadly one more for the yes choice.
Make sure you guys look at the screen under sunlight. I thought mine was perfectly fine in-store.
My phone, as well as my father's phone, both SM-G925i 64gb one black and one white, purchased in New Zealand, are fine and have no scratches on the screen out of the box.
