This program allows you to import the *.csv from SD card! not only from Gmail account~
This is cool application for me cause I need it on my HTC Dream device. ( not G1 from T-mobile ) cause I use HTC dream from Orange France~
You can have a try with it~ quite cool application! it did solve my problem at all~

The problem is ... my old cell was a Sony Ericsson Z600 - and it contains 600+ contacts in it. I can export this into CSV (or anything reasonable for that matter)...
Is there an elegant way of importing it to the XDA II (if possible without Outlook)?
Is there perhaps an application for this purpose?

You could copy them to your sim card and then back onto the xda memeory using sim manager

The SE Z600 is not really too intelligent regarding copying from it's phone memory to the SIM
There is no Pegasus DB editor with CSV import for Win32?

I have two questions regarding the ActiveSync File category synchronization :
1) Is it possible to redirect this sync category to the storage card so that sync-ing is automatic for the whole card? I understand that the default location is the MyDocuments folder in standard memory. If not how can we create some sort of sync relationship so that i.e. Excel files that we update in the PDA automatically Sync with the PC without occupying precious internal memory?
2) Is it possible to change the target path of the File category in the PC without erasing and recreating the device in ActiveSync? I tried altering the path in Registry but ActiveSync changed it back to its original path.
Any help is most welcome...
interessting ideas, hope someone can come up with some tweaks for this!
maybe the path is kept at different places in the windows (desktop) registry, like in the H_K_CurrentUser and the H_K_LocalMachine, but I didn't take a look at it yet
CIAO!
VOODOOS!L
Real Good Question
i hope we can find some one can help in this issue
Have you tried to change the registry in your PC? Perhaps it will works.
Hello,
Tried to find the registry in the PC or in the wizard.
No Luck...
I wonder is there anyone know how to change the sync path...

WOW ! very nice app !!!
works well with my diamond
That, or use the Advanced Configuration Tool to modify the location of "My Documents to be the root of the Storage Card. Then, when it's syncing your "My Documents" it would be effectively syncing the whole card. This will likely go VERY slowly, though.
I would recommend using a program like WM5torage (sic) to access your card as a USB flash drive, and use Windows SyncToy or similar app to sync that data to something else. I do this periodically to back up my backups of my PIM data, just in case a bad flash fries both the phone's memory and the SD card.
Thanks for the reminder!

I forgot all about "SyncToy"! One of the handiest little "Power Toys" MS ever came up with!
I have recently bought an HTC P3600 and all was going well until I configured Outlook to store attachments on my storage card. Very shortly afterwards, 3/4 of the contents of my storage card were gone and my HTC was "seeing" 2 storage cards (the 1st only having a mail attachment directory and the second having both the mail attachment directory and what was left of my card contents). Phoning HTC directly, they admitted that a few people had contacted them with similar problems (essentially Outlook screwing around with the files on a storage card). HEEELLLLP!!
- Ideally, this wouldn't have been a problem if Active sync did storage cards (another discussion perhaps). Is there a utility (pref. freeware) that will automatiicaly backup/sync storatge cards as soon as the PC sees them?
- I guess it might be that the files are still on the card but that the pointer has been lost; is there a utility (again pref freeware) that could have a go at trying to recover these files?
- Anyone else seen this problem or know of a solution?
Thanks,
Madmike1415.

I'm not sure what WM5 storage is. I am using a Transcend 2GB card.
it's a program that allows the windows mobile to connect to a pc as if it were a usb hard drive, no need for active sync. It can cause the 2 storage card issue if u config messaging to save attachments to the storgae card.
Just wondered if it was this that was causing ur issues.
does anyone know of an easy way to import all my SIM contacts into my phone.
I am using my X1 with the sbp panel (tried the shell 2.0 but didnt like it). I want to have my speed dial contacts on the 3rd pane, but I cant add photos to the sim conacts, only to the phone contacts..
instead of importing my contacts one by one, or creating new ones i was hoping there was a way to mass import them...forgive me if im being dumb!

It is written in the manual, page 7.
"SIM Manager – Manage the contacts stored on your
USIM/SIM card. You can also copy USIM/SIM contents
to Contacts in your phone."
So, use the SIM manager and the options it provides to select all contacts anc copy them to the phone.
i want to transfer my contact from my old samsung g600 to my shiny new htc hero - here is the problem - the samsung wont save the contacts to the memory card and will only do it to the sim - however the old sim is on vodaphone and the new hero is locked to 3 - the bluetooh tranfer wont work so if you have any ides i would appreciate any help greatly
!
use Samsung pc suit and copy them to ur pc and then copy them to ur new shiny htc.
