To store attachments on a storage card rather than on the device, tap
Menu > Tools > Options > Storage tab, and select the Store attachments
on storage card check box.
Enjoy!

I take it all back - my mistake & point taken.
Hi All,
Well this is a brand new issue for me, for some reason, the Streak is now rebooting every time I try and turn on USB Storage.
Running 2.2
Build number 10688
Baseband. - GAUSB1A130500-EU
Thanks
Stoney
Problem solved.
With help from Radiums over at streaksmart I've fixed the problem, by simply doing a format of the MircoSD card.
For anyone experiencing similar issues, go to settings > SD card & phone storage >
Un Mount SD card > Format SD card > Mount SD card.
Job done.
Spoke way too soon.
Whilst a format has seemed to cure the reboot issue, the phone is unmounting, then mounting the SD card on switching on USB connection.
Hardware? or something in my superuser config?
Hi, I have opted to use my sd card as "portable storage" rather than adopting it as "internal storage"
But it doesn't work as expected. Such as
1. Apps which previously allow data to be stored on sd card ( such as stock camera ), now simply
stores it in phone memory even though in the app, settings point to sd card.
2. All apps cannot be moved to sd card. Previously under lollipop, some apps can.
Cant find any options to do so under settings->storage & usb OR settings->apps. Is it still possible.?
If yes, what do I need to do?
Thanks
rooting will help ....!!! but dont know how to root.... ??? normal step of rooting not working.....
found this in lenovo forum:
In Marshmallow, you need to format you SD card as internal storage in order to move apps and that to all apps are not movable.
To make changes you can go to : Settings -> Storage -> Click on "SD Card" -> More -> Format as internal
Note : Make sure to take data backup before formatting your SD card, as all data from SD card will get erased when formatting.

Out of scope.
He's asking how to use sd card as 'portable storage' and not 'internal storage'.
I did the same for the camera, and photos/videos are stored in sd card, please check again.
In these 6.0 version for k3, no option in settings to move apps, but maybe will arrive later..
for some apps, you can move data from internal to sd card (like sygic).
Marshmallow another screwed fcuk, format as 'internal storage' r only options for moving apps/games to sd card.
I tried the Adoptable storage mod using ADB and everything went through fine with no errors during ADB.
The file size of internal storage is still 32GB reported through the phone's storage setting. It also shows my 64 GB SD card through the phone's storage as well.
SD card disappeared from the File Manager on the phone and does not show up on my PC when connecting the phone.
I filled up the 32 GB internal storage with apps and movies and I am unable to put anymore on. Pretty much indicating that the adoptable storage feature is not working.
I am in the process of factory resetting with the partitioned SD card to see if that fixes anything.

I used the mod to split my 200gb card in half. It worked for me as you can see by the ss.
I finally got mine to correct the total device storage size. Now to see if apps install properly if I fill up the internal storage.
Time to download a ton of crap from Oculus and I'll see what happens.
When you guys say you finally got it to work, what exactly did you do different because I tried exactly as the how-to says and couldn't get it.

After you follow the steps to partition the SD Card, Go to Settings > Storage > SD Card > More (upper right corner). Then migrate files to the SD Card.
Once the migrate completes then I believe that the SD Card is properly made into adoptable storage.
New apps and data should now fill you your SD Card first, before using internal storage.

I have a new problem ...
I did everything on the tutorial and no errors but still wont WORK
My internal phone storage is full and i migrated the internal sd-card (go to Storage-->internalSD-card--->dots uppercorner and migrate) like u said but still the apps won't install on the internal sd-card...
it just asking me to delete some apps to able to install the new one...
Help me with my Sony Aqua m4 8gigs... PLZ
I'm curious about something. Been trying to get this to work but after doing "sm partition disk:179,0 private" (without the quotes) it is my understanding that it may take a while but in no less than 2 seconds it goes back to hero2qltespr:/ $
I also do not see the Migrate data option in (Storage-->internalSD-Card---> upper corner dots). On my Sprint S7 Edge it's Settings --> Device Maintenance --> Storage --> and the 3 dots only has Storage Settings. Once in there there isn't an option to migrate data.
Any idea what I can be doing wrong or does Nougat remove that Migrate option on the Sprint version.
I am on Android 7.0 on a A5 2017 (firmware).
instances of apps saved in SD card are not saving data in ext. SD card itself:
Jota Text Editor > App stored in SD Card > The 'Save' path is to External SD > I type something > Press Save it does not respond & asks for Save Yes-No confirmation while exit > I tap YES > No action > The Dialogue Box stays
QuickPic > Saved in External SD Card > Some camera pics are saved in Ext. SD > I select & press 'Delete' > Asks to choose Root path > I select > No action the Dialogue screen stays > My SD card clearly has no write option. So I need to make it Internal.
Unable to find anything for Nougat. Please help.
