yeah we need to wait for wm7 unfortunately they delayed it to middle 2009 from what I have read
no, even 2nd half of 2009...... I read something at engadget, that originally MS planned WM7 to be just a little usability improved WM6 and WM8 should compete with iPhone etc.
I think they just improve WM7 more in terms of design and touch functions, so its really a competitor to iPhone interface.
Btw, I deliberately didnt mention this Google crapware android, even WM 6.1 looks better and has better functionality than this..
@Topic: Did you look in the Diamond forums ? There are lots of G-Sensor apps.

Yep, I read every day the Raphael and Diamond forums, but without success
the new ipods or ipods nano (w/e the hell they are called) have that feature.
Sony Ericsson W910i and W580i have this feature.

yes, please do it someone... i would like to have cube runner on the diamond, too.. unfortunately i don't have any skills in programming / porting games or apps..
I wanted to put out my views as to what's wrong and what's right with Microsoft Phones.
Apple have a good business model - create something that is aesthetically pleasing and has a rich gui - set up an app store to get more money after the sale of the device and link it with the itunes store to get even more money... and when this isn't enough to compete with newer models of phones - they just launch 1 monre iphone device with improvements to again compete... (remember the iPhone original and all they did was give it a 3g chip and people just had to have that!)
The BEST bit about this is Development... The devices get many many updates and if you compare this to windows mobile devices - you are lucky to get even 1 update from microsoft or the network or manufacturer during its lifetime - this is in order for microsoft to sell more windows mobile licences and the manufacturers to sell more devices.
MIcrosoft has just recently come round to understand that the money is in software people buy after the device is bought - the problem is they are playing catchup and so far so bad.
Without HTC windows mobile would have died almost as fast as a gastrotrich (google it).
What I want most of all is for my device to match it's potential - Currently I'm using HTC Touch HD and I just think that spec wise its far far better than an iPhone - however I wish that HTC didn't stop at just giving it a touchflo 3d scaled to fit the screen resolution.
This device should be an iPhone killer but it's not there at all.
my resons for this -
TouchFlo3d should have been re-sexified and made to completely skin wm6
Give ne a rich gui - Apple can do it - Palm with web os can do it.
All I can show off is my flipping clock and the weather demo.
Games - well Apple have fully embraced gaming - and due to the fact that windows phones have different display properties - and different technologies - there is not a game that plays well on all devices = especially with this device due to lack of hardware buttons.
resco's bubbles is the best game at the moment - but I want to see more than balls moving round my screen and the sony ericsson xperia game got me interested to see what it can do but probably will never see the potential exploited as htc need to sell more devices and microsoft more licences.
Microsoft either needs to buy HTC for a Massive figure to act more like apple - selling 1 or 2 models at a time - and then ensuring that new models are backward compatible and people who want to stay with the device can pay to upgrade the os like apple do.
sorry this was a bit of a rant - i just know that my touchHD will never beat the iPhone with everything that apple does to control the market.
My advice to Microsoft - Windows Mobile 7 had better be everything that windows 6 isn't.
HTC - make a device you can sell by the bucketload and maximise its potential.
what do you think?

Have you guys seen this?
I know it makes business sense for Palm...but does this mean they (Palm) will leave Palm Treo Pro users out in the cold?
yes. it does.
Unluckily the things seem to be working this way. The latest device will be provided with "Palm WebOS", a fake Palm OS operating system based on Web surfing and a proprietary interface that has nothing to do with previous editions....... As usual, Palm repeatedly changed his mind last years, and now all of us have a ****in' piece of plastics that is worth always less.......... Thank you Palm, thank you for having cheated us
Understand what Palm need
I understand what Palm need
For the first time, since Treo 700w/750 many "great" idea from Palm are revealed and distribute to another ROM (competitor). Program like SMSThreated etc, now become default on many today Windows Mobile gadget.
Maybe Palm need to protect their future idea from another WinMo users
Palm has make their decission, to focus "fake" Palm WebOS. Well, lets see how their mind (Palm inc.) will change, if their WinMo customers switch to another HTC gadget
Oh my gosh... Treo Pro and Treo 750 will be my last Palm gadget, instead of Centro or oldies Treo 650
Maybe that's why my telco dropped the Treo Pro when it had only been out 6 months - had to buy from an unaffiliated box seller (cheaper that way though).
Recent Treos, and a couple of HTC models (e.g. touch pro2), are the only WM devices that I'd consider to be ok-good as a *phone*, rather than a "workable PDA with voice tacked on".
I am a tennis fan, and there is a specific US Open App that even sends live updates to iPhones! Time's like this are when I wish there was a way to convert Iphone apps into WM or even Android...
I'm kinda tired of looking for imitation iPhone apps.
Still love my Rhodium though. Looking out for the Touch Pro 3, anyone hear any updates on this bad boy? any specs? WP7?
