Welcome to xda-developers community, about 6.5 on your lg incite it is possible, just give it time, there are some guys already working on dumping the rom and that's the first start for rom cooking(not really, but the first thing would be hard spl/cid unlock), anyways welcome and enjoy your stay.
Sincerely
Rafyvitto
Hey thanks for the reply and i have been following the thread for the incited rom cooking im just getting so anxious haha
That would be sweet, If it would run like it does on my hermes (which it should because specwise its more powerful in every aspect) It would put the incite way ahead of alot of windows mobile phones in terms of style and functionality. Excluding the touch hd most of the wm6.5 roms are for older, and in my opinion uglier phones i.e. my hermes, and it would be great to see it on a slimmer phone.
Any Update on the development of the LG incite's 6.5 ROM yet?
waiting..............
Lg INCITE having windows mobile 6.5
Hi,
Ummmm im new hear and i just don't know how to get wm on my phone? I dont. Everytime i try to find something it wont work., Where does everybody download this in to their phone. and what are the steps.
Thnkyou
RE:Need WM 6.5 on Lg Incite (Read the Comment!!!!)
I recently bought an Incite and found a WM 6.5 Rom for th Lg Incite. I downloaded the Rom and it seemed very nice and had many new features, but there are way to much bugs to fix. For Example, If you turn on the acceloremeter sensor, your device would freeze from time to time. Also once you download this Rom you would not be able to get your old WM 6.1 back. I ended up getting to annoyed with the bugs, so i called AT&T asking them for a replacement (I just got Lucky so don't you think you can call AT&T for a replacement. I recommend you not to get it, but it is totally up to you.
Here is the WM 6.5 link:

This section is for posting software releases, development software, and hacks. General questions go in the Questions and Answers section.
For those new to XDA-Developers, we only support HTC manufactured devices, and as such there will not be a section for roms from the LG Incite, as it is obviously not a HTC product.

theglen35 you are in. I beleive you can be one of the best beta tester.
Although i have mentioned members having above 75 posts are only allowed but i will take wway in because of your good feedback to Evolution 2 ROM.
I know I haven't done many posts, but I'd love to help u test and review your new ROM
Greetz
Kurso
P.S.: If there is a support of German language i could help you with the translation (if needed)
Kurso, i have to give first priority to senior members i will let you know later if you are in or not.
About german Rom no need for translation help i can make one but it requires lots of hardwork and time. I can make one if and only there is a lots of requests ( or tell me a german forum of mobiles including htc touch viva) like there were many spanish ppl who wanted ROM (site name htc mania). Also if there are many ppl who are gonna give reward for my work.
BTW, for further discussion please use PM i want this thread for beta testers purpose.
Thanks. Simply i like your "Evo" series and they interests me more than others. So i try to be helpful and I dont want posting useless comments.
Please sign me up, too. I have evo 2.5A on my Opal and before evo 2. I think that both are very good, cause they are much faster than other roms I have tested before. And it would be good if there is a perfect rom of the evo series, cause I think in evo 2.5A are some bugs. Multi language is also good, cause I am german and I think many of us dont have english as their first language.
O... hi Jogan2! I'll be very honored if you take me to Beta Testers Regiment!!!
Thank You! You will not be disappointed!
Yriel40k, i can't make ROM for just one or two ppl because it takes lots of time and requires hardwork. But will see later if i get time i will make one.
illass: You are same as wway You are in.
I think i will wait till morning then will give all the instruction for beta testers. And all the beta testers will have a chance to request for any new feature.
Sign me up too
I want to be 1....i am currently reviewing the ROM by Tahir...but i want u to ign me up coz i think id guide u with more members of the XDA forum having the GENE...they are the best ppl on the forum....and hav gr8 ROMS.lets c...may the best be selected!!!
I would be more than happy to help you test it!
Despite not fulfilling the beta tester category - I'd like a consideration.
I won't provide feedback unless I stumble on any problems
sign me up buddy ...

Oh no, because of oldstyle "Start" button on the top and small "OK & X" in the top of the right corner, it is very difficult to use only one hand & forget about stilus. (Especially on VIVA's display with borders.) Also new menu is more convenient than in 6.1 (for fingers). IMHO.
Okay check out the first post in few mins.
Yeah i was thinking for making a rom like wm 6.1 start menu. But not going to do as of yet.
Okay beta testing reports from first two beta testers received. Everything is perfect check out first post. Waiting for feedback from other three beta testing member... as soon as they give. Rom will be ready to be released with fixed everything. The perfection rom coming soon.

[DISCUSSION]New Development works Stop?

Since Last two months not received any new development, what happen?
yes i too worried.waiting for new/improved builds
Can always learn to make your own rom and contribute This is something I have looked at in the past and there are plenty of kitchens out there.
Personally. I wouldn't be surprised if the Devs have moved on to better phones, afterall the elf is now filed under legacy, and is aging.
yes one reason is most chefs (me too) moved to higher device.
second is no new build is coming since >2weeks..
and htc and microsoft have already moved to windows 6.1<6.5<6.5.5<7.0<last android
they are doing well with that and our only hope is xdadevelopers who keep the windows alive.
still then wait and watch
There is noting much that can be added to elf, except new builds and since m$ is not releasing any new builds worthy of cooking, no new ROM upgrades.
As a member said, why not cook yourself if can't wait for the chef to release thats always nice.
Moving this to general as not ROM development.

Thanks to all the developers

I've been a member of this forum for about 4 months now, and I just wanted to post a big thank you to all the developers out there in a thread that I think should highlight their work and for us to show our gratitude to them.
I bought my HD2 (T-mobile) used, through ebay (to the caribbean) and have been loving it ever since, primarily due to the development published in this xda-forums. It's good to know that google shows the xda site as the first sight when looking for apps and roms, tweaks, etc. for my HD2.
I'm technically capable, but haven't done programming in about 8 years, but I remember the struggles, and these guys here keep putting out new developments, one after the other to keep us up-to-date. I moved from stock ROM to EnergyROM- Dinik, then to Energy Titanium. Before the end of last year I was using dual boot with Android Froyo by Darkstone. For the new years, the developers again moved progress with us now being able to run NAND versions of Android on the HD2. I've so far installed and tried 3, finally sticking with the Prj Clean Desire ROM - Froyo version (I like room to add my own apps without clutter).
I try to support as much as possible, but sometimes I do miss.
I decided to start this thread for a single, simple reason. To give the respect, gratitude and thanks to all the developers on the xda-forums who continue to ensure that our HTC phones are well optimised and continually on the cutting edge of new mobile software, applications and platforms (I'm sure we have yet to see a Windows Phone 7 adaptation yet).
For me there are a few whose names/aliases constantly appear:
Cotulla (the god who gave us HSPL and magldr)
Dark Forces Team (DFT)
Darkstone
EnergyROM creators
Core ROM creators
Hastarin
Miri ROM creators
Cyanogen creators
Once again, mad props to you guys and the many other developers out there.
If I were HTC, Microsoft or Android, I'd be hiring you guys without question.
Keep up the good work.
Nice speech there mate! Without doubt we all show our graditute and we thank the developers for their hard work, imagination and dedication!
We also want to say THANK YOU to xda forum that made all of these possible!
Let's not forget dcordes, netripper, letama and markinus for getting Android for the hd2 where it is today. Without them starting the project and getting the Linux kernel ported, we probably wouldn't even have a working Android yet.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Yeah everything y'all do on this website is amazing, thank y'all so much!

[Q] HD2?

I am an active Dev in the Vogue android forum (just look)
I'm jholtom
I am thinking about getting an HD2 for Development and other fun stuff.
Is it a good dev phone and such?
Would I find a transition from Vogue to HD2 smooth or difficult in terms of rom cooking?
Thanks
jholtom
Well WinMo cooking has kind of died off when android appeared. And now that WP7 is available too, you can expect WinMo to be less popular.
Onto topic, yes it is a fun dev phone. If it weren't, we couldn't have had android and WP7 on our phones so fast. (Thank you DFT )
ok great that means i should assimilate quick with all the activity
I may be a new Dev on HD2 soon
1) You are trying to mention that you're developer in a lot of your post, you think that would save you from beeing called to use search etc? Which moves be to 2 and 3.
2) Use search, read forums, you will find lots of information on development etc na dwould see that HD2 is really good for it.
3) Learn to name your topics "[Q] HD2" is obviously better then usual "please help" that people post, but still far from "[Q] ROM cooking on HD2 compared to Vogue"
PS your only thread as "Dev" has only 1 url to build which is broken and leads to this url is invalid or file was removed.
I have a working espresso build as well as a froyo sense build for the vogue as of now neither has been done. I have just not finished posting all of them yet.
I also have a successful Miui theme and setup for the vogue.
I am in the middle of Exams and have not been able to release my roms yet
