if you switch between RC3X and ADP you will need to wipe inbetween otherwise your contacts will crash.

Please help;
I have try everthing possible that I have found on line. I cant sync

if you know how to fix it please help me
Running Version 4.5 for Tytn II
Thanks
I'm not sure if my solution is the best one (I certainly don't recommend it
because it was time consuming) but I got a bluetooth adapter, copied whatever
data/contacts I could using the generic file transfer feature of bluetooth
and then executed a hard reset. This wiped out all of my data and probably
erased whatever was causing the problem. I can now sync with ActiveSync 4.5.
I REALLY didn't like this solution but my device works now.

Did you see this page? Have you hard reset yet? What OS? Stock ROM?

don't do a HR, try to isolate first the problem. try to reinsert the sim, it may have been placed incorrectly. try to remove last application installed.
HR should always be the last result for fixing the unit. Remember that all precious data will be lost unless your like me that backs-up everything everyday hehehe.

Please recheck whether the sim has been seating correctly in it's place, second, if it is, then please take out the sim and clean the upper coat with the cloth. Some times connector acts villain)
If nothing works HR should do the trick.
done all possible things by me
done everything, hard reset, flashed same rom and new rom, old wm5 rom nothing work. cab file which i used to configure voip is the problem. there was no problem until i insert new sim card. there is no problem with sim holder.
some thing is wrong with registry, i can't restore full backup which i have done when my device was working fine using spbbackup, the same rom.
is there anyway to restore to original registry

the hd2 doesnt store them on the sim, so if they werent already on the sim card before, then they've gone. (I take it you havent been using myphone, or outlook, or exchange, or pim manager, or some other contact backup prog?)
sure i understand the contacts not on the sim which were installed to my HD2 only have gone, however there were contacts on the sim before which I cannot get hold off...when I go to people/sim manager and try to import sim contacts there are 0
whats happened?
Im assuming I have lost my sim contacts aswell?

hmm, well if - people tab - all people - menu - view - sim doesnt show any, then there aren't any i'm afraid.
I have a very annoying problem. Sometimes after restart or power my phone off, all my contacts disappears (google contacts, facebook contacts and twitter contacts). I don't put contacts on phone.
I changed the sdcard and flashed the ROM again, but unfortunately the same thing happened and contacts also disappeared and google and facebook re-sync contact again. So, I believed that sdcard is not the problem.
This problem happened to me on several ROMs so I think it is not ROM dependent.
Is the problem on my device nand ?.
Can anyone suggests any thing to do to know what's the problem and how to fix it ?
.. Thanks in advance
i don't have the problem but my brother (also an hd2 owner) has it. no idea what's causing it!

I had similar issues, but this was with Widgets and applications dissapearing after reboot. I then changed my SDHC Card from a Class 4 to a Class 6, and issues is now fixed.
Maybe the same applies to you?
make sure u have stk app on your phone, don't ask why lol cos i don't know,i was advised myself and ive never had the problem since,(flashed over 100 roms since),then boot into recovery, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache then reboot, that should do the trick

So I recently restored a backup of my phone as I was having some issues with the ROM I was on, hoping to get back to a stable version of the ROM. When it rebooted after restoring the TWRP backup it reported "No Sim Card Found".
I am in the process of flashing stock images, but is there a way to combat this in the future?
Having the same problem.

Hello,
Do you have a custom ROM installed? Did you try looking in the ROM thread if it is a well known issue?
Did you try reverting to stock firmware?
Did you try cleaning the SIM contacts in the SIM tray? Sometimes contacts can be oxidized after some time.
Good luck...

Hi. I made a backup of a Stock ROM with android 4.4.2. The original Stock ROM works perfectly. I can't delete the contacts because I've no way to save them in other card.

Hey,
Android 4.4.2 ? Installed on a Nexus 6P ? Are you serious?
If you want to backup contacts, why not using export option in contact app?
Export to .CSV, save the .CSV file on a computer and restore those later with contact app as well...
Anyway, is it a Nexus 6P?
Good luck...

Hey,
Lol, ok...
So why.dom't you sync your contacts on your Google account? Or export as a .CSV file?
Also, if you are on a custom ROM having this problem and the stock ROM works, I suggest you report your issue to the ROM developer...
Good luck...

I'm on the stock rom, it's just a backup of it with all my staff there. But thanks. I'll try to delete the contacts and see what happens.
Deleting the contacts didn't. Anyway thanks for the help. But I found a way to get it to work again and I would like to share it, because it may help others.
The complete situation: I made a backup of a stock rom (4.4.2) with TWRP and when I restored it, the SIM card was not detected at all. In MTK Engineering Mode/CDS Information/Phone 1 (or whatever number yours is) everthing was at null or unkown.
AND I FOUND A WAY TO SOLVE THIS! Flash a ROM that detects the SIM card and enter the IMEI numbers. Then, go to TWRP, DON'T FORMAT ANYTHING and then restore the backup selecting the options to restore that you want (for example boot; nvram; system;... those ones). In my case, I restored all of them and I got it to work! This because the phone memory needs to be installed and with android 4.4.2 kitkat the phone storage is not in the backup, only the system storage. I hope this helps the KitKat users and others (because I've never tested this in other versions)!

Hey,
Not necessarily. But at least post it in your phone's section. If it happened to you, it may happen to others with the same device.
Cheers...
