Hi,
The login box does not appear in the orkut site when browsing through MDA. I contacted orkut help and they said I have to www.orkut.com from the list of restricted sites.
But i could not see these options in my MDA? :? Has anyone faced such issues? How can I overcome this?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Saj.
internet settings
can anyone please point out how we can see the restricted sites list, and remove some sites from it?
does the internet explorer in WM5 have these options?
How u doin man'
:]
ok, orkut doesnt work on pie.
This is because the login box for google accounts is an IFRAME, and thefore not supported by pocket ie (or so it seems)...
The only way to see the login box is by using opera mobile. Download it and it will work fine.
hey
u can also use netfron 3.3...it has more options than opera
thanks for ur replies, will try these.
I have a sprint vogue flashed to metropcs with working internet and mms. I am running Nfsfans v14 rom. I installed android 1.5 bundle off of the google code page. I have 3 questions about android.
1.I have internet working with all the proxy settings and everything. Is there any way i can get mms working also?
2.Marketplace, Google Maps, Downloads form the browser, and Google Sync do not work. I get a connection error in marketplace, Google Maps does not load anything, Google Sync tells me to try again later, and the Browser downloads just say waiting for connection. is there any way to get all this working ??
3. is there any way to calibrate the screen? My 1,2,a,s keys are a little off
Thanks in advance
As far as your Google account not syncing - I think its a problem with any proxy based access.
I have cricket and its the same story. They use a proxy and either A) have a terrible reverse DNS issue - or B) They are blocking port 25.
This led to me not being able to have outlook connect directly with Gmail and download - id have to use the web version.
To my knowledge there is no work around for it - its an issue with the provider. Of course this is also assuming that the syncing Google does is using the same port it would for simple email.
I am currently an exchange student in Germany and I need some help with figuring out a problem with the internet on my cell phone.
I currently have a prepaid card (Call-ya) from Vodafone and I added on the Live! InternetFlat package about a week ago. On my HTC HD2 I have troubles connecting/using certain programs.
What works:
Internet Explorer (can access any website)
Google Maps
YouTube
Marketplace
Facebook
Downloaded apps from the marketplace
What doesn't work is the standard browser, Opera. From it I can only access sites like google and vodafone, I can't even follow a link from google. There is a vodafone "toolbar" that is on the webpages at the top and bottom. This is strange because it doesn't show on IE and I can goto any site when I use it. I can also not recieve/send emails from the HTC mail application through my gmail or yahoo accounts. I also cannot use Skype. Finally, the integrated Youtube and Facebook (data services...so you can see a contact's status etc.) don't work...but the standalone applications work.
I am mostly confused about the Opera part... however I think that Vodafone prevents me from doing email and using Skype because I don't have the two year contract with internet. Can anyone explain this to me and say what limitations there are to this internetflat?

when surfing the web through our smartphones we frequently use WiFi free networks, the problem is that there is an add on for firefox, 'FireSheep',
that reviels our login info for our facbook, gmail and even bank accounts
is there any firewall or anything else that can avoid such info theaft?

Click to collapse
Yes, install the plugin "blacksheep" which can alert you if someone is using it, by spoofing cookies for it to "steal".
Use a VPN though if you are concerned. Wifi without encryption isn't secure, and you can expect any cookies to be sniffed when using it.
Not for Android nor WP7 nor iOS AFAIK.
Just try to avoid using any app that doesn't encrypt communications. How would you know that? I don't know of any studies or papers about this... so test at home using wifi!
For browsing the web just avoid to login in any web through http, do it all over https.

Hi, I like the title, the company's wifi bind, the appropriate version of the opera to the Internet can be accessed using a proxy. But, unable to establish a wifi connection with Google Play or widgwets. Could you share the solution if there is?

doesn't work
Hi, this program doesn't work properly and i learned how to using ics with proxy but it doesn't work too. (in wifi menu, press wifi and manuel conf.) it's connecting AP but google play, ics default browser and WIDGETS don't runings. it doesn't ask me for proxy user name and password.
Do not nobody that can use this way?
