Here's how to improve your screen's touch responsiveness, especially if you primarily use your finger to navigate. I have now uploaded a .cab to make it easier to do the tweak. Method 1 (easiest, thanks, Fards) is the .cab method. Method 2 (thanks, Glithramir) is for those who know how to edit their Windows Mobile registry. Method 3 is an alternative method.
Method 1:
1. Download and install X1 SoftTouch at the end of this post (there are no settings or anything... just installing the file creates the tweak)
2. SOFT RESET YOUR DEVICE
3. Enjoy!
Method 2:
1. Use a registry editor such as SKTools
2. Navigate to or search for:
HKLM/Drivers/TouchPanel/PressureThreshold
and
HKLM/Software/OEM/TFLOSettings/FingerPressure
(eg search on "pressure" and you'll find both)
3. Edit the values to any VERY VERY high value such as 999999999 (nine 9s)
*** CAUTION: do NOT change either of these fields to anything less than about 2000 because if you go low enough you will make your touchscreen unresponsive, at which point it's tricky to change it back (learned the hard way)
4. Soft reset
Method 3:
1. Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 installed on your pc/Xperia (thanks tri3dent, gundamboy, MidiAmp); if not, do this:
1a. Install Activesync on your pc.
1b. Connect the device with the pc and sync it.
1c. Download Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 to your PC (not directly to your Xperia) from http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/...49-3C6B-42F1-9FD9-0041345B3385&displaylang=en.
1d. Install the .net CF 3.5 from your pc
1e. Follow the onscreen prompts.
1f. Look at the phone's screen, you will be asked to approve an installation, select yes.
1g. You're done...
2. Download and install Shap's advanced config tool 3.3 (props to Shap):
http://www.touchxperience.com/en/advanced-configuration-tool/downloads.html
3. Scroll down to "HTC TouchFLO" (close to the bottom) and expand it
4. Click on "Pressure threshold," then below you will see a drop down menu.
4a. Click on "Custom" until a field appears allowing you to enter a number.
4b. Change "Pressure threshold" to: 999999999 (yes, that's nine 9s)
4c. Make sure you hit enter if you are using a keyboard so that the value gets entered into the field
5. Change "Finger Pressure" to 999999999 (same number) using the same process
*** CAUTION: do NOT change either of these fields to anything less than about 2000, or less than "Very high" in the drop down menu, because if you go low enough you will make your touchscreen unresponsive, at which point it's tricky to change it back (learned the hard way)
6. Click "Done" below in the bar then click "Ok" to reset your device
Notes:
If you used the recommended "firm" taps when calibrating your screen, the X1 the SoftTouch tweak should lead to:
- substantial improved responsiveness with finger use
- moderate improved responsiveness with stylus use
If you used very light touches when calibrating your screen, the X1 SoftTouch tweak should lead to:
- moderate to minimal improved responsiveness with finger use
- minimal to no improved responsiveness with stylus use
- The tweak works for everything, not just if you have TouchFLO installed
- If you uninstall X1 SoftTouch, your original screen sensitivity settings should return
- I didn't notice much difference in touch responsiveness with registry values over about 1,000,000, but it doesn't seem to hurt to put in extremely high values, which is why I used 999,999,999
Heya, just enabled this on my X1i and it works like a charm!
No more pressing against the screen so that the touches will work, ahh it's wonderful. Thanks a lot for posting this!
I think I need to read the direction carefully next time I changed the setting to "Very High" and voila! Stuckville... Luckily the X1 has keyboards and the awesome pad (I named the directional/optical pad that).
If somebody got stuck accidentally (not like me), just use the d-pad to navigate and press tab on the keyboard to move between dialog boxes.
The config tools been available for a while, but super thanks for the nine 9's trick. Although I seldom use the screen, but it's an improvement I think. As I mushed the screen not touch it, so I don't quite feel the sensitivities changed.
Sorry for a stupid question, how do I install the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5?
It's in a .msi file and xperia doesn't recognize the extension.
Install it on the pc while your Xperia is connected, it'll prompt for install within xperia sometime during the installation.

Yup, that's pretty much it...
But for more detailed explanation:
1. Install Activesync on your pc.
2. Connect the device with the pc and sync it.
3. Install the .net CF 3.5 from your pc.
4. Follow the onscreen prompts.
5. Look at the phone's screen, you will be asked to approve an installation, select yes.
6. You're done...
Afterward, install the advanced config cab.

Nicely done, hope lots of people try this out because it's quite an improvement from the old finger pressing that I did.
if you mess up and turn it down too far, just use my mobiler to fix it if you're having trouble.
I must say this method really good! every touch is so great and accurate! everyone should do this tweak to improve your Xperiance^_^
This indeed is amazing, i was a bit doubtful when i read the post at first but i tried it and i no longer have to push hard for the X button on the corner of the screen! yay
Yeah it works really good
Thanks
Yes, I have no idea why these settings aren't included out of the box. I figured there might be some adverse effect from the settings (?like draining the battery or sacrificing touch vs stylus use), but there are absolutely NONE as far as I can tell. Just a touch screen that's on the way to being like capacitive.
I think it's theoretically possible to make it even MORE responsive. Have you noticed that when the backlight dims the screen, the very lightest touch wakes it up? Can we take it even further? I'm sure the Advanced Config is just editing a registry entry so that might be the place to start looking.
I was hesitant too, but after making the changes I must say it is a noticeable improvement! The only potential downside I could even consider is reduced battery life, but there is no reason for me to suspect that this will be the case.
net frame work already exsists oin this rom
i get the above message but whn i try programe ist says that i will need a newr version of net
will i need to reinstal firmware update ?
Cant this be done by simply editing the registry?
HKLM/Drivers/TouchPanel/PressureThreshold
HKLM/Software/OEM/TFLOSettings/FingerPressure
works like a charm mate
Good find
I increased my values like this:
PressureThreshold:2124 -> 8496
FingerPressure:977 -> 8496
I dont experience a very big difference. I didnt want to increase too much apart from the default values.
What exactly does the registry keys do?
Another interesting find:
After doing a new screen alignment it reset the values to:
PressureThreshold:2399
FingerPressure:1084
So.. I guess it adapts the values depending on how hard and precise you press the screen when aligning... ?
hmm is there a problem with the default screen?? can someone enlighten me ?
just to confirm:
If i install net framework 3.5 will i loose any programs or settings on the xperia?
Thank you
Nope, it just adds the framework to your phone. Can't remember if it prompts for a reset, but afterwards you can just install the advanced config.

Is there a way to disable te screen alignment utility on the QTEK 2020? I mean the welcome.exe that runs when your battery was empty or when you do a reset?
I'm searching my ass off but i'm not finding anything.
I think it would require i OS ROM modification since it is "factory" clean if you loose the power. Extended rom customization kicks in after the screen calibration.
It´s a painfull process to calibrate but ít´s an even more painfull experience with a non calibrated screen
/Regards
Would you really notice it if you wouldn't calibrate the screen? Would be the same like not calibrating a joystick on a PC? If you don't do that you always keep moving because the joystick thinks it's not centered.
I'm just thinking here, during the calibration, would there be anything saved to the registry, of the calibration, because then i would be able to export it to a .reg file and let it be imported during the extended rom customization?
I gonne search some more...
Why all the effort to avoid the calibration? After all you are only forced to do it after a hard reset and the time it takes is minimal compared to the following Extended ROM installation. I can't see why it's such a big deal :?
because i have more than 1 PDA to configure

Because it is a great hassle to have it always appeared when you press your Joystick and Calendar hotkey together. And I need these buttons when I play some games or use Sega/Atari and other emulators ((
because it's a touch screen it's much more troublesome not to calibrate
i mean a joystick if no callibrated will wander but a touch screen will not know where or what you are pressing on with the stylus or finger
the alignment isn't a problem for me. just the stupid copy/paste tutorial is a nuisance. But unfortenately it is in the OS. In the beginning developers here tried to make a custom welcome.exe but they gave up. The effort was too much for the benefits.
Great! I didnt know about the joy + calendar button :-D
Rey, my guess is that calibration is device individual so they cant be copied. But using the joy+cal trick at a later stage makes removing it in the OS ROM much more interesting.
oh well, at least i found out how to automaticly get the GMT zone in, so i can just click next and don't have to scroll
For those who are intrested:
Fill in the setting, i have it on GMT +1, then go to your registry editor and export the following value out of the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Time]
TimeZoneInformation
save somewhere and put it an a the EXTENDED_ROM in a .CAB that auto installes, i put in in the IIWPO.CAB in platformxxx.reg works for me

Try Restorator utility (search this forum on: restorator) for individual and multiple setups. Works for me! Thanks to SP!
Unfortunately, it doesn't solve our alignment issue
Dunno if it can help..but I remember ..some cooked ROMs for XDA1 haven't got this Copy-Paste procedure.. some programmer have removed it.
So,try to search for it..
Given that I believe the hardware as far as the touchscreen itself goes, are there any plans to try and migrate the TouchFlo / TouchFlo II ROM or application layer over so it'll work with the Mogul?
I love the Touch Flo's inteface, but there's no way I would ever give up my full keyboard.
You can find the touchflo application at this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334965&highlight=pcm+keyboard
Make sure to download a4, this is the most recent release. Also, read the entire first post before installation. I have the HTC 6800 (mogul) from sprint and I successfully installed this software this morning.
I have also installed A4 on my mogul. It is running great! I modified the config file a tiny to give a longer delay and to add SSContact.
Where is my cube?!!!
I can get the touch scrolling to work but still cannot figure out the cube. I can access the audio manager and the home screen (with tabs) but do not see any of the other full screen touch menus or animations.
I have installed the following files:
FTouchFlo_a4.CAB
HomePlugin WM6.cab
HTC_Audio_Manager.cab
HTC_Audio_Manager_Today_Plugin.cab
JT ButtonFlo.cab
Touch Flo (Alpha).cab
Touch Settings v1.22.CAB
I changed the registry key so that audio manager is the music player and also deleted the bio.lnk and mediahub.lnk from the windows/startup. I even went as far as to copy .brn files to make sure they were there. Even Touch settings is working fine.. BUT any time I slide LR or click the button I get the stupid black screen. (WTF, it is killing me!)
Has anyone figured this out on Sprint Mogul???
I didn't try too hard on the cube because I couldn't get the gestures to work. Maybe this is something that will be improved in later versions.

Well this Flash version of the Touchflo 3D Cube it seems to work really well so far on my mogul, like I said it's not the real cube but it's really neat just the same.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=328010&highlight=ByKa+Cube+Launcher
Yeah, Byka's Flash version is cool, but it uses lots of system resources and just isn't quite the same.
Someone having the black screen issue has to have found a fix by now?
I've tried the BYKA cube but it jsut looks tacky. It works great but I guess I just have a problem with the icons and the background. Slither is working on a cub which looks exaclty like the TOUCHCUBe but it still has a way, although he's working very diligently. I would love to see the original cube, hopefully some cab extracted in combination with the touchfloa4. That would be ideal.
I tried it yesterday and was not impressed. So I installed SPB Pocketplus V.4 which also has "touch" features and works much better to be honest...
this is from my post in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333513

I got this working on my mogul (close to barebones w/o ext_rom) seemingly perfectly... I did it on a fresh hard hard reset because of some conflicting software and my remove programs list being blank (this is not related to anything with touchflo btw... so don't worry)... I mapped touchflo.exe (on Ftouchflo) to left-right(to make cube both initialize and rotate with my finger dragging left right) and it works like a charm! I also mapped up-down to efrost's minimize program(efrostminimize.exe) that I got from Slither's cube, this brings me back to the Today screen. Not sure what the "ns.exe" is for in your config files but it seems to be working fine for me so far following the instructions. I'm thinking with the mogul black screens there must be a conflicting software involved.
I only have:
HTC plugins + Audio/Comm Manager
Total Commander
TCPMP+FlashVideo
PHM_Reg
Memmaid
Palm Msging
Oxios
Slide 2 Unlock 2 0.53
Ftouchflo alpha 4
Adobe Flashlite 2.1
Edit: Be careful how fast you retry using finger swipes upon the initial initialization (from closed) as it will run two instances if the touchflo did not fully initialize yet. (they both load though... phew* still no black screen)
Edit 2: Remember, if you map left-right and use Slide 2 Unlock 2(S2U2), to exclude s2u2.exe in the Ftouchflo config.
will post if black screen comes up in the future
I w as going to try this after midterms, how is it working? Is it pretty awesome? Is it worth it? does it bogg down your system? Are you afraid of installing other apps for fear of it "blacking out"? I'm very interested in the cube but it seems out of reach right now because of the bugs.

it works fine... no real big load on system resources (it was designed for a slower processor actually). No, I'm not really afraid of installing other programs. I was just stating that it's obvious that all those people complaining about black screens have something that conflicts with the cube somehow (or they didn't install according to instructions). Most likely something that runs in the background...
wandrerx, how do you actually get the cube? What application does it get installed with?
Can you send links to the exact apps you are running that are minimum requirements for this to work?
The original detailed instructions (by mikewtw) and files are in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333513
This is really just a summary of instructions and issues since it's getting messy there...
You need all the files from the original instructions:
TouchFlo.zip
AL_xx_Touch.zip
Touch Settings v1.22.CAB
Installation:
Prereq (To be installed first...):
HTC Home Plugin - I used the one from here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319308
HTC Audio Mgr - I got it from the touchflo.zip
HTC Audio Plugin - I got it from the touchflo.zip
Installation Process
1)Install "Touch Flo (Alpha).cab"
2)Install "JT Buttonflo.cab" (This is needed because it causes a script to run at startup which makes it actually work)
3)Install "Touch Settings v1.22.cab"
4)Delete "Mediahubmini.lnk" from "\windows\startup"
5)Unzip all of the files from "AL_xx_Touch.zip" to "\touch" (this step may not be needed but it was mentioned in the original post and I did it anyways)
6)Copy those "AL_xx_Touch.zip" files into "\windows"
7)Now might be a good time for a soft reset
8)Run "Touch Settings" from programs once but do not touch anything just yet... click on save option at the bottom" (this step apparently saves the icons you just installed so they'll appear... I think)
9)Soft reset
Touchflo is now installed you can either:
A) Map it to a button thus making it buttonflo
B) Install Ftouchflo Alpha 4 and use the touch screen to launch and rotate left to right (one way only currently)
If you decide to use Ftouchflo Alpha 4 I've enclosed:
"FTouchfloConfig.txt" - To be copied into "\Program Files\Ftouchflo_a4"...this also makes it compatible with s2u2
"efrostminimize.exe" (by efrost duh!) - To be copied into "\windows"
FTouchflo usage:
Using my config you can bring up the cube by swiping down-to-up (like the real one) or you can do the same going left to right. You can also minimize the cube by swiping up-to-down(via efrostminimize.exe)
Notes:
1)Upon initial run from either being closed or soft reset, try not to swipe it activated too much otherwise it will open twice. Once started swipe all you want. Of course you could just activate touchflo another way first.
2)Installing Touchflo alpha takes away HTC Home contacts
3)This does not seem to be a killable app via "memory"
4)I'm trying to figure out whether I can make some script to make it run smoother
5)Audio Mngr seems to be the only resource killer as it also loads into the cube
5)Yes it only goes one direction, this was a modified touchflo designed to work with buttons. As I said, this is the one we have to use till a cooked rom with the cube comes out.
6)This does not run on initial boot, you've got to either run it from Ftouchflo or "touch flo" in programs
7)If you run "Touch flo" without button mapped or "Ftouchflo"(configured for it) it will stay on the first screen
8)Can also be minimized by using the "red hangup button" (buttonflo-method as opposed to using my config for Ftouchflo)
9)Using HTC Home Plugin Customizer requires a soft-reset because it disables the Home Plugin temporarily
7)Icons not installed correctly is one very big cause of black screen
8)Conflicting programs may also be a reason for black screen as I did this all on a hard reset
Ftouchflo Alpha4

if you want a cube, I highly recommend slithers cube.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336234
I have been using both of these programs and they work together flawlessly on the Mogul
HTC HOME vs. the Cube
For anyone who has tried both.
I am currently running the HTC Home on mine and it works very well. Power consumption is normal. Good quick response. No complaints overall.
However, I am somewhat intrigued by the Cube and have been contemplating trying it out.
How is the CPU/Power consumption. Responsiveness. Stability? Thanks for your thoughts in advance.
Michael
Stability
I have tried both the Home plugin and the cube. If youuse the home plugin, do a search for the six tab "fixed" kaiser plugin. Fixes some memory leaks and has more functionality. The Cube here is very unstable and not too quick. I had to hard reset to get it to work, and it will not work with some other apps installed. For me, it would not work with SPB Pocket Plus. I would recommend getting the cube Slither has in development. It runs on flash, is quick, and does not seem to have compatibility issues.
Finally got my shift...
Here's some tips from the 2 day of hardcore usage and 14 broken instalations of vista.
Service pack 1 is good to have. It DOES make a difference. Mostly for network usage, sharing and copying files it tends to speed up some things. Windows will "calculate" necesary time and file sizes quicker when you move or copy something. Boot time is also decreased but don't expect magical things.
By default Vista sets a huge amount of time to wait for programs to close when initiating a shutdown command. If a program doesn't respond the shutdown time is very long. I've used regedit to manually adjust this from 20000 to 2000. The tweak didn't result in any problem for me. Here's the path.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control > waittokillservice
Speaking of registry, careful when using registry cleaner programs or tweak utilities. Some of them will delete the HTC Shag controll keys and some empty keys that these utilities think they are junk, resulting in the inability to change resolution by hardware button. Also this disables the Comunication Panel from being started by hardware button. If you want to use this kind of programs ALWAYS back up the registry before making changes.
Install the video driver update from Microsoft. It will improve your video performance. However restart the shift as soon as the upgrade completes. The resolution changer program will not operate until then and if you stress it to much it may not work even after the restart. It will simply ask you to restart the shift because the driver has changed, even if you already did that. This happened once, i don't know if it was an isolated incident.
Don't try to overcloack the shift. Rummors on the internet say that the intel A110 can run at 1ghz. This is not the case for the Shift. Curently the SetFSB program mainly recomanded over the internet isn't compatible with the shift's hardware and it will do no good.
If your desktop icons appear to big in the lower resolution change them by presing the ctrl button (keep pressed) and mouse scroll (use external mouse). This is the simplest way i've found out and it will enable you to see more size options then the icon size changer in the customize menu.
Thanks heaps for those tips and suggestions, I was concerned about installing SP1 but now I will give it a go and the other tips are great.
THanks
Thanks for your suggestions! after using "tune-up utilities" I had problems with the shift control center as well: disappeared completely or needed a lot of time to be available after windows start.
With SP1 installed I didn't have any issue so far. Although I've made no comparison test my impression is that there is a little but perceptible increase of speed.

yeah and this works from almost everywhere (IE, desktop, explorer,..)
SensorScroll uses the HTC Touch Diamond/PRO Gesture Wheel to scroll up and down inside windows which allow scrolling (has a scroll bar). It can also emulate key pressing instead of scrolling.
It is in beta stage, please use carefully. All bug reports, fresh ideas and recommendations are welcome.
Instructions:
1. Install the application. It adds shortcut in Programs and in \Windows\Startup folders!
2. Right after installation you can run the application from Programs shortcut to start using it. There is no need for soft reset to have it running for the first time!
3. To use the application open a Window with a vertical scroll bar like Programs or File Explorer and try rotating the scroll sensor clockwise for scroll down and counter clockwise for scroll up. Don't forget to try the touch action too (double tap on the central button to switch on/off and touch the direction keys)
4. To fine tune the application behavior use the SensorScroll Settings application
5. Have fun!
6. To stop, run it again and you will have an option to stop it.
Notes:
Inside installation folder there is a file named no_process.txt. The file contains a list of process names which will not be affected by the application (or by SensorScroll Settings). It already has some entries like opera, teeter, etc.
The application is freeware (and will always stay free)
Known issues:
* Does not work with GScroll ! Both programs act like they have disabled each other.
Todo:
* Clear the source code and add some comments
* Open the source code if i consider it good enough to be open
Search for new ideas:
We can do something with the rest of the touch sensitive area. I'm collecting ideas. We can use single, double or triple click. Known limitation: you could track press and release coordinates, but cannot track finger movement (at least I don't know how). If you come with a good idea please share it and post a reply. Thanks in advance!
History:
* v0.7.1 (20.05.2009)
- Fixed a nasty bug resulting in SensorScroll working with all programs including those who needs to be ignored
- Temporary removed windows enumeration in SensorScroll Settings. I'll try to put some more complex code to handle poorly working API functions in the next version.
* v0.7 (17.05.2009)
- Fully changed working principles. Should be much more stable and compatible now.
- Added support for screen rotation. Read the manual about the 3 key screen rotation.
- Added support for process identify. Read the manual.
- Added handling of power notifications. Now it should consume almost no CPU when suspended.
- Added support for preventing the device to go to suspended state while using the d-pad
- Added support for vibrate feedback for "touch gestures switch", "screen rotation", "process identify"
- Fixed problem with saving/loading settings with non english versions of windows mobile
- Fixed problem with double tap working not only for the center button, but also in other areas (home, back, call, end call)
- Removed process enumeration in SensorScroll Settings. This caused more problems then it solved.
Full version history can he found here
Old version 0.6 can be found here
Thanks. Works well so far. One early issue I noticed upon installing your .cab is my device freezes for no apparent reason. I am also running GScroll, may have something to do with that. I'll try disabling it and report back.
Great app...props already http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=1479

Confirmed.... Does not play nice nice w/GScroll. After disabbling GScroll it works great unfortunately I need GScroll so I can have the double tap functionality to bring up SecondToday
Randomly the program will stop working (not sure if it completely shuts down or if its actually running, but not working). Instead of scrolling the page, it will start to scroll by each item. For example, in the Program menu it will go from app to app.
Works Perfectly for me.
Thanks!
The Mobile Spoon
Working perfect - thank you!
edit: after testing as already pointed out seems to turn off.
How does this compare with the cabs already out? I mean does it work in EVERY app? I mean I use RRE's Smart Touch Wheel Scroll.cab, but I'll try this one and see if there is any difference.
Kraize - this works in far more applications. It's really an expansion because you can set it to leave the defaults in place that Diamond Tweaks puts in. The only problem appears to be that it turns off at some points. Not sure what is causing the behavior.
Great App!!! is there any way you could make this scroll through touchflo? Like left 2 right? Always wanted this....lol sorry . Anyways thank you!
AT&T FUZE Touch Pro unstable
Awesome idea! Installed it on my 1 day old AT&T FUZE and crashed a few times and rebooted the phone once. Hopefully will be fixed soon. HAve the feeling AT&T touch flow 3D is causing the issue.
Nice app any way to get this to work with S2U2?
Thank you for sharing, I will give it a try
cheers
Works fine on my Touch Pro. Tnx mate for this!
the program chashes at my touch pro after a few minutes and doens´t scoll anymore so i have to exit and restart it again.

it's still better to import dozens of reg files after each hard reset + it works with ALL toolbar-scroll windows ^^

PS : excuse my english, i'm french
Perfect..
It works fine on my device
Thank a lot man
Thank you for your replies! I'll check the application with GScroll. I've never used it so far. I hope it will be possible to fix the problem.
So I was reading this page on a registry tweak from pocketnow.com that could help reduce the pressure you place on your touchscreen, apparently. It is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel Value=PressureThreshold
I changed the number to 34 in decimal, which I think I misread and now should have changed to 240, but what can you do (in case anyone is curious, DON'T try this tweak unless you want to risk losing your phone data. It doesn't take effect until restart, at which point you might be screwed).
So I applied the tweak without restarting, and then at one point my phone froze, so I soft reset it. My phone came up as usual, and because I use Chobit's SmartLock, I think it locks on boot up (Windows Mobile 6.5 doesn't do so by default, does it?).
Herein lies the problem: you need to slide across the screen to unlock, but upon reboot, my touchscreen is basically non-responsive.
I've tried using desktop Windows Mobile registry editors, but they require ActiveSync running, which can't happen on my phone because the touchscreen isn't working for me to select "ActiveSync" rather than "Removable Disk" to which it defaults. I think SmartLock is getting in the way here too, as . I've removed my storage card, but the same prompt still comes up, making me unable to use ActiveSync. Is there some way to force ActiveSync without this prompt? I think then at least I could edit the registry and remove this tweak. I can't even use something like MyMobiler or CERegEditor, because they require, you guessed it...ActiveSync.
Is there any way to save my phone and data other than a hard reset? I do have access to the Storage Card, so is there anyway to run a program from there like people 'unroot' their phones? Is there perhaps a set of soft key presses that can run the screen calibration program?
EDIT: Ended up hard resetting because I couldn't figure out how to get around the lock screen. Oh well!

You could have used the d-pad to scroll to AS from Storage and then press the center button "enter".
for next time... search for "i-tweak sensitivity"
it has two registry edits... the difference is amazing! Its a must do for me no matter what phone i use.
