Right. When starting connection, whether through CommManager or app like Messaging, the sound and vibration comes. The same for disconnect.
This is after reset. After few times - those notifications disappear completely - do you know why...?
Have quite similar problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480846

I have had problems when killing cprog.exe during an incomming call. On some occasions if vibration has already started it becomes hard to stop it. I have found that if I set my own notification to vibrate, then clear it, the phones rinniging vibration will also be stopped.
This would be useful except for the fact that the users notification settings can overide my notification vibration and prevent the clearing effect.
Is there any way to make a phone vibrate without using CeSetUserNotification? Or how can I override the users notification settings? Normally I would not want to override someones settings but the only other way to stop the buzz would be to reset or receive another call.
EDIT...
I found this

And the code works for turning the vibration off and on. I need to do some testing to see if it can reset a calls vibration and if it works on all my devices but it looks promising
During a few weeks I've experienced the following problems with the hemli wm6 rom.
Audio driver crashes randomly, allows for no playback, call ringing tone (!!) or conversation when calling someone. - Soft reset fixes.
Audio files go missing (?), suddently all ringtones are "invalid or missing". - Soft reset fixes.
GSM connection crashes, no phonecalls or SMS's are recieved.. NO notices either, untill you try to make a phonecall or send an sms. - Soft reset fixes
Battery status goes "dsadFSA", might be a battery problem, but is almost everytime related to audio goes missing. - Soft reset fixes.
Connections manager doesn't work most of the times. Either nothing happens or wifi/bluetooth disables shortly after it has been enabled.
Storage card goes missing (?) Suddently the storage card is missing in filemanager and no applications on it can be run. - Soft reset fixes
After some soft resets the bluetooth is magicly on.. Even though it was never told to.
Random GSM failure, sometimes calls and sms's aren't recieved for about half an hour. Suddently reactivates and everything is recieved.
Other non rom specific software issues:
pocketcm.com keyboard crashes randomly, doesn't load skin or doesn't recieve input. Sometimes it crashes on top of everything and soft reset is required.
Conclusion:
It is an awesome PDA, but a terrible phone (this way). I still enjoy playing games on it (bejeweled and monkey island), but untill i can solve these problems i go back to my e61i as phone.
I've flashed my phone with the latest firmware from the HTC site. It's connected to 02 but i'm having major problems with data connections and actually just getting the phone to answer calls.
If I ring the phone, the majority of the time it just goes straight to voicemail but sometimes the phone will ring, it seems to be very random. Data connection is iffy as well where sometimes i'm able to browse sites and other times it just errors.
Has anyone experienced this? Is it a phone configuration problem or is my handset faulty? It does get very warm at the bottom of it when the screen is on. Is that normal?
cheers
Colin
I think I have similar problems.
I've noticed a slight increase in calls redirected to voicemail.
Also, my HD keeps dropping data connections. Sometimes I can just reconnect using the settings tab, but sometimes a soft reset is neccessary.
Very irritating, and I was really hoping for a quick fix.
Hi,
I have recently encountered a wired problem. Searched for web for similar issues, seen few same issue, but differ a bit.
I recently was surprised that phone stopped ringing or sound an sms alert or any other app alert such as WhatApp.
I tried to change the sound in sound settings for SMS, Whatsapp, Calls and Handcent app. All of which, didn't do any sound at all. When I select another sound within the apps, nothing is played. Some of them, played a standard beep instead.
I realized also that the alarm had a problem. It simply didn't sound at all at morning and therefore I was late to work that day :-(
anyways, I read on the net, few said, remove the battery for few seconds, did so, and helped, but problem comes up again. So I decided not to remove the battery anymore as it is a temp. solution only.
Some said, in Applicatoin settings, Sound Sets, clear data. Did that, and sometimes helps other doesn't. So another temp. solution.
Sometimes when it happens, I keep trying selecting different sounds, open different apps, changing their notification sounds, and suddenly, I can hear something when changing notification sound, then I know it is back again.
Now it has been happening for around 10 days, and didn't figure it out. I might need to do a hard-reset, but prefer not to as I hate installing all the apps (lots) I have installed and doing all the settings again. It takes long time. So I need another solution.
Something is strange, I am almost sure its not a faulty hardware, but maybe an app that interfere with something.
Anybody experienced such thing?
hey all,
a while ago, suddenly one day without notice, my phone started behaving funny when receiving an incoming phone call.
Often, the Phone App's GUI wouldn't appear in the foreground. the phone would ring and vibrate properly, i could silent the ring with the volume rocker, but i have no way to answer the call. i know when it is finished ringing when i can see the missed call notification in the notifications bar.
also, during the ringing, i can continue using the app that was already in the foreground, the home button is disabled, and the notifications shade is disabled (cannot be pulled down)
i have no idea what i did to cause this (maybe playing with Handy Call?) and no idea how to get out of this state.
the worst part is, it seems to be random, i have no idea why it happens sometimes and not others. it is super annoying. ive actually started assigning specific ringtones to important people so i know immediately who is calling.
any one encounter this? any ideas?
