Hello,
I recently installed that full Manilla HD cab (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442154) but uninstalled it a few minutes later.
While uninstalling, a friend accidently turned the phone off.
Now, when I turn it on, it gets stuck at the green Windows Mobile 6.1 screen (with a single icon at the top, and that's it)
Please help me fix my phone...
Thanks again,
Seb
PS: There's that loading icon there too, spinning forever and ever..
PPS: Disregard that. I restarted the phone 12 times and it finally turned on. Sorry for the post...
There's a pretty good chance that your phone's software is somewhat bugged anyway, as Manila installs like a gazillion files into your windows folder. If you want a certain way of uninstalling it, hard-reset your device.

Hi,
This is my first post here and obviously it's a problem related issue.
I have my HTC TOUCH HD, for about 1 week now.
Everything worked great, until yesterday, when i tried to install the following:
- installed the HTC Hotfix for responsivness, seemed to work fine.
- than i wanted my phoen call to be announced with voice, so i tried to findVoiceCommand (cracked, shame on me)
- downloaded something from this forum, that was posted on rapid share.
Oh Joy and than the problems started:
- It gave an error when installing
- than o n reboot, it toook waaay to long to boot up.
- than i tried to go into the settings to remove it.
Now, EVERYTIME i try to enter the settings, it just freezes, i can not access anyting any more, not even the upper power button, only taking out the battery will work.
Rebooting, i used total commander (thank God i had it installed before) to delete the startup link for voice commander and the entiere voice commander folder.
Now, unfortunate this did not do the trick.
Accessing the settings button will still freeze my HD (
I am very very very frustrated, do not know how to restore it to previous state. Pretty please someone can guide me what to do ?
Thank you in Advance.
ps: everything else seems to work fine, though
Do you think hard reset is the best way??
Yes, unfortunate, this was my only solution.
After digging for more than 4 hours, sleeping 4 hours, digging more hours, i gave up and did a hard reset.
(i even had to digg that up too )
Now everything is back to normal, BUT my weather application is not updating through GPRS / 3G any more, only through wireless.
There is no option for me to set it through what connection it should connect
(Only in coinnection manager, and there its set fine, i already tried everything, and internet seems to work, just fine)

Same thing happend to me. I have now managed to get back into my settings. I think there are two ways.
1. Use active sync to remove the program
2. I installed the 1.5 trail version (which doesn't run) but let me back into settings so I could uninstall MSVC and then uninstall the trail.
start up still seems a bit slow and the first time you press settings it is a little slow going in but after the first time it is fine.
The better option might be a hard reset but it isn't one for me at the moment as I have far to much stuff to re-install and setup. I really want MS voice commander but I am to scared to try and install any versions
sound like the program had a virus maybe
go to startup in windows explorer and remove the shortcut related to it. this will solve the problem.
Damn stop listening to people that quickly tell you to hard reset.
I had a similar problem in which i couldn't access Settings to remove the program that was causing it.
I connected the phone to ActiveSync and you can easily the program from there. Problem solved.
Another way to uninstall would be to launch the CAB file again (the one with the "bad" program). You will asked if you should remove the old version first, say yes, then cancel installation when it asks where to save the new version. Together with a soft-reset thereafter, in most cases it should work out ...
My phone just turned off on it's own today. The minute I turn it on...5 sec. later it shuts down again. It continues to do this now all the time. I reinstalled the ROM from bootloader...no problem here
I don't think it's was the ROM (Seatone: SONE 2.1) as I went through Seatone's thread. (& yes, I hard reset after ROM install)
But what I'm trying to figure out is, which app was responsible for this event?
Last Installed APPs
• Magic Mobile
• SensorScroll v.05
Checked above APP threads with no issues that match...
Not saying it's the above apps but I'm just mentioning what things I did last in order to figure this out.
Can those who's devices went through this same phenomenon please share.
Ok, use a program like AdvancedConfig to edit the display timer and see if that works.
When it starts back up again, it doesn't even get passed the flash screen.
Don't worry about that, i've reflashed the device and everything is working. What i'm wondering about is what caused it to get like this?
Might be something was wrong in the rom, preventing the phone from charging. So it might just have been empty...
Just my 2 cents.
I tried to load Manilla 2d on friend's Mogul and would not work. Uninstalled it and it got rid of the Home plugin as well. I downloaded the home plugin and installed it on phone. NOW, phone starts up, opens and freezes on Activesync screen. It will not allow you to do anything.
This is a friend's phone and she is terrified of losing all her contacts and soft resets do nothing. I just need to get this phone in some kind of working order soon! It has WM 6.1 and is a stock ROM.
Can anybody Help me???
Slight Update...
It looks like the activesync screen is no longer popping up upon soft reset, but phone still freezes wherever it is. It appears that once the phone tries to display the home plugin, it freezes. I've tried disabling it before it could with no luck...as well as trying to get a full screen 'something' to load so it doesn't have to load it yet. It will actually connect to activesync on computer, but as soon as phone freezes, it "disconnects" from activesync. So again, no luck.
Perhaps there is a way to disable the plugin? I've heard there is no safe mode.
If I could save the contacts, I would be ok with performing a hard reset.
Any suggestions, or anybody have or heard of someone who had a similar problem?
If the phone has mortscript installed on it I may be able to help you out. If it doesnt I still may be able just let me know. You also have to have a micro sd card and a reader or another way of copying a autorun folder and a couple files to it. PM me and I will get you up and running.
This is my third Blackstone already and this one is mine for 4 days. When I got it, Olinex was put on immediately and after the NRGZ 23549 ROM. I did load the Stock ROM first, but did not do anything after, only checking camera. All went well, but when I wanted to use bluetooth it did not start. In the Commanager it'll show the loading circle for a few seconds and then nothing. When going to options it does the same thing.
Anyone an idea?
Maybe my Olinex.exe is screwed? Cause it always has been some stupid problem like camera not functioning, constantly shutting down for no reason what "broke" my last 2 HD's.

Hi, my hd2 started going a bit funny today, running very slow, so turned it off and on again, solved the problem for a while, but then did it again later. I thought it might be the system memory being low, but looked and it had about 40mb free. I tried turning it on and of again, this time when it started up the program that loads the 1st time you turn it on started, after getting thru that, it couldn't load up htc sence, it was running really slow and came up with system memory critically low warning, I loaded up file manager, and it was showing all the folders "my docs, program files, ect" had doubled or duplicated themselves? Maybe windows had reinstalled them? anyway turned the phone off to see if it was just a glytch, now it wont load up at all! gets to the white "htc" screen and shows the usual rom info at the bottom but goes no further? I dont know what to do
Thanks for any help
Hi. I had the same problem the other night. wasnt doing anything special on the phone. I soft reseted the phone it did exactly the same as yours. Just got stuck at the bootscreen. Had to do the old trick..............hard reset!!
Happened to me twice, and twice hard reset. It happened again this morning when I uninstalled Cookie's Home Tab 1.7 to install 1.71. After the uninstall, it didn't load Sense. It still works with all other functions, so I downloaded and installed 1.71, soft reset, and home screen is back.
Maybe worth a try...? Good luck!
Thanks guys, I ended up having to do a hard reset, stupid phone
Wouldnt be so bad but I had't backed up my contacts,
