Bluetooth CarPC WM control - CDMA - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Ok, I really didnt know exactly what to put for the title of this because its a pretty strange request.
A little backbrief: I have a CarPC setup with a 7" touchscreen in my dash, a computer in the trunk, a bluetooth module, a microphone, runs through the car speakers, and running a front end called RoadRunner.
Basically what I'm looking for is:
1) The ability to call out and answer phone calls through the CarPC (full computer). - Using the RoadRunner program there are some interupts built in so that it will automatically stop the music and switch to a screen that has the phone "skin", but I'm not sure what it all entails to make that portion work yet.
2) It must connect through bluetooth
3) The ability to read through the phone's address book and/or store the phonebook in the CarPC.
4) Speach activation would be nice, but not a 100% must have necessarily
5) The ability to read/write text messages would also be nice, but not required
Essentially the skin should be similar to this link:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/road-runner/93387-freefone-1-3-full-integration-roadrunner.html
But the problem with that particular skin is that there is no support for WM devices, that is unless you have another piece of software called phonecontrol.net, but that software is now discontinued, so there's nothing for WM devices.
Now, I'm not asking someone on here to build something for me necessarily (even though that would be nice) but I am not sure what phone protocols there are to connect the bluetooth and use it, or if they are specific to the bluetooth adapters (bluesoiel, microsoft stack, etc) or if its all in the phone, and whatnot. I've got a good coding background, so its possible I can develop something, or modify something to work, but since there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum I figured someone on here might have some know how and ideas.
Thanks

AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) on WM5

I've spent hours searching for the supposedly hacked version of AIM 2.0 for Windows CE 2003 that allows people on Windows Mobile 5 to use it. The problem with the standard AIM 2.0 available from AOL in the USA is that it has a menu on the bottom of the screen, and this causes havok in WM5 and WM6. I knew I had this "hacked" UK version of AIM 2.0 CE in the past, and had gotten it from this forum, but no google searching or forum searching could turn it up. After lots of manual post reading I've found the relevant post that contains it, so I'm making this post to save the rest of the world some time (should any strange individuals like myself seek to use the official AIM client on WM5+). I know a policy of this forum is to post links to prior threads rather than starting new threads but I feel there is no thread that concerns this topic. There is a thread about keeping GPRS connected in WM5, and one user of that thread suggests using Pocket AIM for this purpose and provides an attached copy of the "hacked" version of it (which seems to astonish people posting in that thread because AIM isn't supposed to work on WM5). So, here it is and please do not remove this post, since it will enable google surfers and forum searchers to find this rare file without wasting their time (not that browsing this forum all day is ever a waste of time).

If this was or is an official version, I'd like someone to add it to the WM5 compatibility list. Maybe I'll post a link in there as well.
Note: I've tried imov messenger and tons of others, but I choose this client for AIM because of unexplainable personal preference, so please don't post a million replies about how silly I am not to use whatever client you prefer.
UPDATE: After buying a new phone and lots of time going by, I went to this post to get AIM and the download link wasn't functional. A different link to the same file can be found in this post: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/588878-post36.html on a different forum. Maybe I'll post it in here when I get around to it. Any mirrors are welcomed.
very very nice post, I've sent this to about 20 people.

how to install comodo antivirus on Windows 8

dear all,
until now (jan 16, 2013), i can not install comodo antiviurs on Windows 8 (acer 4736 laptop).
in the beginning, install going to normal, but after i log out and restart,
windows 8 give me blinking display... and i can not enter password (always blinking)
please, can you help me....
First question would be "Why??" seeing as Win8 has built-in antivirus.
Second question would be "Why ask here?" as this is not a tech support forum, much less one specific to your particular program (shouldn't you be asking Comodo about this?)
Third question would be, literally, "have you tried turning it off and turning it on again?" as it may just be that the initial reboot failed for whatever reason.
Other questions that come to mind:
Do you have BitLocker enabled?
Does the Windows logo appear before you get to the screen with the flashing cursor, or not?
If you go to the Windows bootloader screen (used to be press F8 right when the OS starts loading, might be different now), can you boot a "last known good configuration"?
tq for your response GoodDayToDie,
(1) Why?? because i already familiar with comodo and can be set firewall to one or multiapplication. So i can choose one by one application so it can connect or disconnect from internet.
(2) is it windows 8 general forum??? so may be i have someone which much experience to help me to solve my problem..
(3) turn it off or on (already done but still blink)
(4) bitlocker enabled? no i did, i try to install comodo with clean / fresh windows 8.
(5) windows logo is appear, and blink in log on display
(6) last known good? (you mean to back as before i install comodo? yeah, it is normally again but comodo it's gone.... (
I suppose it's possible you didn't know this, but Windows Firewall has allowed application-by-application control (and a great many other fine-grained settings, like controlling access from a specific application to a specific external host in a specific direction on a specific port and specific protocol and depending on whether you're on a home, work, or public network) since Vista. I mean, sure, I can understand wanting to use a program you're familiar with, but if what you know is broken, sometimes the solution is to use something else.
No... it's the "General" section of the Win8 dev & hacking forum. This question pertains neither to development nor hacking for Win8; it's pure tech support. Again, shouldn't you be asking Comodo about this?
If you have access to the boot screen (which it sounds like you do, if you were able to use Last Known Good configuration), you might try Safe Mode, get the system to boot up, then check the Event Viewer for any problems occurring at the times that you booted up before. That's just a guess of where you might learn more, though; beyond that I really don't know. You could also try (if it's Win8 Pro and you've enabled this option) accessing the machine using Remote Desktop instead of trying to log in at the console, but usually that only works if the problem is in hardware.
The op post question in the right forum. This is win 8 devl and hack but in general forum. Any questions regarding win 8 does not need to be about devl and hacking can post them here in general. The key word is general and it doesn't have to do with devl and hacking. Say you can post how to swipe a charm bar or how to install flash player in here and it has nothing to do with devl and hacking but would be wrong to post in devl and hacking section. You don't have to go to adobe tech support for it if it can be answered here.Others thought maybe op question can be exposed better and answered here as oppose to comodo forum and maybe comodo is not an active forum among others reasons. No disrespect to comodo forum for I never visit. Or maybe op likes xda forum better . I don't know...
Posting how to do cool things is a reasonable use of XDA-Devs... posting a request for tech support of a third-party product just doesn't feel like one. Maybe it's due to the wider userbase of Win8, or maybe things have just changed, but that's not the sort of thing I used to see very often on this site, and if somebody did try asking, the usual response was "take it to the seller/manufacturer/developer". IMO (note: not a moderator, or we wouldn't be discussing this here), this is basically spam, diluting the useful posts (like, tips, tricks, ideas for hacks,, notifications of newly released apps or tools, etc.) and making me wonder why I bother reading General. Maybe I just won't bother.
Also, the OPs account is at most a couple weeks old... that's an awfully short time to fall deeply in love with a site to the point that you would post *anything*, no matter how related to the site's purpose, there.

no lovely yet (actually), may be letter, but now, if i connect to the internet, i always type forum.xda-developers.com
Fair enough... I don't mean to scare people away from XDA-Devs, just that everything has a place. I don't understand why you'd expect help here regarding a mostly-unrelated third-party product, though. The best you could hope for is somebody else having had that problem, *and* fixed it, *and* not have bothered to post the solution yet, *and* they see your post. Given that there's no info I could find in a quick search related to this problem, it seems like the obvious answer is to take it to the people who would know... the developers. There's also a perfectly good forum of people who use Comodo over at forums.comodo.com.
If you'd asked "how can I set per-application firewall rules in Win8" then people could, and would, help out here. If you'd asked "is it possible to add a firewall rule from a Windows Store app?" it would even be on-topic. Whatever... we're both wasting our time here. I've given you all I can, which mostly boils down to advice.

[Q] creating an android equivalent of airPcap.

i believe i could create the app relatively easily as i am a c++ programmer and would learn the language used for android providing if anyone can tell me if the wifi chip set on the Samsung galaxy s4 can write to disk. if not it would be impossible without connecting an external method of capturing and saving the packets. if anybody could direct me to the correct place for the information i need or if there is already a project underway could you provide information. would be interesting to see if it is possible with the existing wifi chip-set.
I'm not aware of any networking cards that can write directly to disk so thats really not a requirement for pcap. You are unlikely to be able to run pcap on just an android device however if you search google play for pcap you'll find the author of kismet implemented a rtl 8187 driver in userspace that runs without root, all you have to do is plug in a rtl8187 base usb wlan card and you're good to go. http://www.kismetwireless.net/android-pcap/

[Q] [Help] Find nearby businesses

Hello, everyone! I am new here, so I apologize if this is not the appropriate section, or if this has been asked already, but I really need some help. I am working on an android app that needs to detect when you are nearby businesses (Ie, 24 hour fitness, jack in the box, gamestop...etc). I have really tried to use google for this one, but I can not word it correctly to get desired results lol. Can anyone help me? I am a complete noob when it comes to android development (I am coming from the C++/Qt world ) so examples and documentation would really help.
I would also like to ask if there is an open source area to learn from? I see a ton of good apps that would really benefit me if I could see the source, but they are all closed sourced :\.
Here's a list with a lot of open source apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124002
