turn data off - Mogul, XV6800 General

Is there any way to turn data off so that no program can turn it on unless you turn it on? reason is due to money problems atm i want to take off my data package and i dont want the phone to use data

Delete HTC_CM_Guardian in start up will allow you to delete the #777 verizon number permanently. If you want it back run the HTC_CM_Guardian.exe under windows.
This is one example. I think there is another thread on XDA somewhere but I forget where.

App to set date automaticaly

Hi,
I have a problem with some doctors in my network that forget their ppc for a while, lose power, and then have to use their ppc to input patient data. They usually plug it in, turn it on, and magically see (thanks WM5) their app still there. Problem is that they forget to set back the date and still connect to the main database. And when they try to find the patient data, we have to search painfully to get the data back, as it is usually saved on tape when date is too old, so the data disapear after the next nightly backup.
I'm completly overhelmed. I'm sure it could be easy to program something that get the system date, and save it in on file. That program could be run everyday at 1:00 AM for example.
Then I could run the set program at any time (for example before connecting to the database) and set the date at the latest value.
I tried to check mortrunner, but there is no set time function. Anybody know how this can be done automaticaly? Is it hard to program?
Thanks

Why won't ActiveSync go away!?!

So before you say it, I've Google'd the entire site, and several other sites trying to find a cure for activesync. I use Quick Menu to auto close activesync. I've set up a dummy server, changed everything to manual. I turned off any serial port other than usb. But it still comes on every time I connect to the internet and wants to sync remotely. I even thought it would be better after I flashed OT4.0, but it actually got worse... Are there any other suggestions, or is anyone else having this problem?
I just use quickmenu to Not Show and Not Close. You can use your taskmanager to kill the process but it will restart randomly anyway it is a persistant process.
yep that's why i gave up trying to mess with activsync.
There has to be something that triggers it, nothing is random. Maybe when it goes online to update weather or email? Someone has to know something. I can't believe that everyone has this problem. It's like my phone runs just the way I like, except it "randomly" gives me the finger.
This problem has driven me nuts and I figured out how to fix it. You need a program like Total Commander, I use Task Manager (not the default one on the phone). Go to where the Notifications are listed, look for one called "repllog.exe" you should have 3 of them. Look for the one that says AppRunAfterTimeChange and disable it. Do a soft reset and you should be set let me know if this works for you.
activesync fix
start/settings/personal/phone/timezones, and uncheck "automatic change time zone and clock" button
thats all you have to do
Thanks Digit! But doesn't this mean that my system time won't automatically update? I can live with that, just curious...

[HELP] Data Connection (Not Disconnecting After MMS)

Hay all,
I've got a major problem here and I'm not sure if it's a common Blackstone thing or if I can stop it.
Basicly after I recieve a Media Message (MMS) or send one the data connect stays active.
I'm on Orange and it uses Orange Internet as thats the only data connect info I can find on the phone (when sending a MMS it show up as Orange MMS in the little info bubble at the top)
Is there a way so that after I recieve an MMS or send one it automaticlly dissconects like on the Nokia Phones?
As this could cost me a fortune having an active connection open an not relising.
Thanks
There are several ways to accomplish this. I'm guessing you're on stock ROM, so the easiest way to accomplish this would be to install HDTweak which has settings to automatically turn off data when not in use (you can set things like to turn off 1min after not being used or 5, etc). If you're on a cooked ROM, you can check if there is a "Data" tab when you go to Settings>Phone>Data which will have an option to automaticaly turn off data when not in use.
Thanks for the reply - When I go to settings there is no Data option
How do I do this rom stuff - I've new so a little unknowning on these kinda things
I would probably advise you to do the first thing I posted, which is try HDTweak, since you won't have to mess with ROMs that way as it's nothing more than a program, but with powerful features. However, if you do wish to flash to a new ROM, do so at your own risk. The ROM development section has great tutorials along with a plethra of ROMs to choose from, and I believe most of the new ones have the Data tab (I know Duty's ROMs have it, but I'm guessing that many of the other ones do as well, and you can always just ask in the thread with the ROM that interests you the most). Just make sure to read the wikis on in the ROM section, they'll answer all your questions and if there is anything left unanswered then a search in the ROM section will probably give you the solution.
Good luk

[REQ APP] is there an APP that can tell you which program is accessing the radio?

i have a rhodium. I cannot seem to switch off data, even in comm manager. as soon as i switch it off, it goes on again! Something is using the radio, and I have been through every program I can find to stop it connecting automatically. But still no luck!
I need it off so that I can get blackberry software to run on my device (it gets blocked if anything else uses the radio), so it isnt a question of using an app like NODATA.
So I want to know if there is an app which can show me which program is using the radio.
Help anyone???
If your using Manila try shutting off push internet...
From the internet tab hit menu/data settings turn off push email.
Also check email retrieval settings...I set mine to every 2 hours...
I don't know of any App that will do this but it would be a nice one to have.
Im having the same problem on a Samsung i900 :S
If its actually transferring data then you might be able to find out using SPB Wireless Monitor. However, this wont help if all it is doing is opening the connection. Cant be any harm to trying the free trial though.

Possible to Remove Google Play's Default WiFi requirements?

Been looking around but I can't seem to find anything similar to what I am looking for here that isn't dated 2011-2013ish.
Being on Sprint, with an Unlimited and Unthrottled account, and with limited WiFi access. (Sometimes ****tier WiFi than Cellular even), it makes restoring a phone after a clean wipe annoying as hell as if I leave it to use cellular data, anytime it hits an app > 100M the Google Play Store will just sit at "Downloading" or "Waiting for WiFi" until I clock on the app, hit stop, then hit download and uncheck the "Only download using WiFi".
Since Google Play has no ryme or reason to its downloading, (Why in 2016 can it still not just download something else when one hangs? Why can't you pause a download? Why can't you download more than 1 thing at a time? Why can't it download Smallest to Largest app, or Alphabetically?) it makes the restore process a sort of clustertruck as if you don't let the phone restore properly, it doesn't restore some of the data and other bits for certain apps and settings ( I have a Titanium Backup of it all so I am not unprepared, but it saves me some time getting things up and running once again).
Is there any known way to get rid of that WiFi limit so I can just download an app without it trying to Data Block me for each big app? I wish there was a "I have 'Unlimited' Data. Shut up and take my bandwidth!" checkbox I could set and forget.
