i quite agree - there are 9 keys on my keyboard which don't have a control symbol. that's just a waste. they should have put the 9 most common symbols on there. having something there is better than having nothing.
good tip though ...

my au key doesnt work in opera. i have to use the on screen keyboard to type an underscore. anyone else have this problem

Yup great tip! But like c_legaspi said, my ascent and symbol keys don't work in Opera either. Any key combination for '$' ?

[New] c_shekhar PCM KB skin with smileys

Here's my PCM Human Keyboard. The keyboard has Symbol pad's fully integrated into it.
By holding down letters keys , you'd be able to get the capital letters. For example, holding down "a" will show all the "A" and so on.
Holding down "123#?" will show all the symbols including the smileys.
Holding down "shift" shall also show you the smileys.
Holding down "." gives you ","
Holding down "+" gives you "-".
The keyboard is based on the English layout. If you native language is not English, then you have to change the layout lines accordingly for you commonly use. Everything else should work regardless of the base layout.

You dont need to as I feel. Because when you long press "." you get ",". Similarly for longpress "+" you get "-".
I have edited the first post accordingly.

Is it possible to do a ~ on the Titan?

Is it possible to do a ~ on the Titan? I don't see it anywhere on the keyboards. Is it possible to get an expanded keyboard program anywhere to send that key?
Yes it possible but not easy. Hit function then tab an onscreen menu will pop up scroll down three clicks and there it is. Im posting from my mogul so ill throw one up to ~ , you get all sorts of symbols ™ € № {} § those are a few
Thanks. Anyway to map that to a key?
Diamond Keyboard
Use the diamond keyboard app. and just hold "H" and you'll get it. Much easier.
I have had problems using the tilde (~) that you get from function-symbols for our WEP key, so I usually text it to myself from a PC (verizonwireless.com). Not sure why it is different, but this method always works for me.
on a pc one can get any ascii key by holding down the alt key and typing in the ascii value
maybe it works on pda's too
also, you could hit the function key then Q for the @ symbol, immediately followed by Function then Space.

Open up Skin-01-global.txt in notepad and delete the following line:
ClickSound click-0.wav
Make sure not to edit in Word, use the simple notepad you have in every Windows.
***
Found that in the thread. The sounds do go away in vibrate/silent mode as well.
I'm using this...love it.
Attempting to cook it into my latest ROM. Thanks for the heads up
Does it mess up the "au" key on the hardware keyboard?
my au key and my sym key don't work but i'm not sure if that is cause of me or cause of the keyboard

thanks a lot for your help.i ll try this trick.
I want to ask... does it have auto-correction of mistyped words (like PCM Keyboard and the others)?
It keeps saying "no T9" for this new keyboard, but does that mean it has no auto-guess/auto-correction for your typing? because if it doesn't, its much less powerful, even if it is prettier.
Thank you for a great keyboard!!

fingerkeyboard doesn't mess up with the hardware key mapping.
you have probably installed some other SIP/keyboard software that modifies the registry setting.
If I install this, will the hardware keyboard lose it's suggested words?

How do you bind a key to SIP? (Onscreen keyboard)

Does anyone know how to bind a key to the SIP? (Onscreen keyboard)
Does someone know? Its so hard to click the SIP icon its so dang small and fingers dont click it good
Bind a key to this little program of mine,

Thank you!!!!!!! Do you have the issue to?
Well, no - I've bound it to SYM key on my Raphael's HW keyboard,
since I've made a ROM without ezInput and eT9 and I'm using
custom FingerKeyboard layout on landscape as a replacement
for symbols selector...
just what i was looking for!
thanks a lot!
You're welcome, I'm glad I could help!
I'm now working on version that can change SIP from
command line parameter, is anybody interested?

can you adapt this app, to auto select the phonepad for messaging, but keyboard for web browsing / emailing??
thanks - the app as it is, is ace,,,,
To do this, app must be constantly pooling for topmost window
name / class, with intervals short enough to be acceptable
(< 1s, I guess), and this will mean that your battery will last
shorter, so I would doubt if the game is worth the candle...
I would recommend using FingerKeyboard, which is best in any case...
Try Wisbar Advance

Hmm, the latest wisbar advance is able to auto-switch the SIP according to the active window... You might want to consider that option.

Solved Morph Gear button maping Problem.

Hi,
I had problems to map hardware keys ( slider keys ) with Morph Button.
Every time I mapped a button it show the key code 229.
I read the post Key Assign Problem (Morphgear+PocketGBA) ,
( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425646&highlight=morphgear ) here at XDA Dev.
It seems the HTC Touch Pro have the same Problem.
After few hours I solved the problem.
All you need to do is:
1.
- Go to button setting in Morph Gear.
- before click the assign button press and hold the Strg key
- then you can enter the hardware key you want
now you can play by holding Strg and the mapped keys
2-
- go to global menu in Morph Gear
- in the submenu Input: click Polling Method
now it works
But in Genppc 1.09 I still can not configure keys.
Hope this helps somebody
Sorry for my english
Strg key?
Hi Bub3d
Sorry to be a dunce but can you clarify what you mean by the "Strg key"?
Thanks
andrew-in-woking
The left key in the last row.
Better known as Ctrl to us non german keyboard users.
However, this doesnt work on my dutch pro 2.
That is the great news for me, I have looked for it for a long time. Thank you very much!!!

I'm sure there is a way to play without holding down the Ctrl (Strg) key all the time. I did it before I just don't know how I did it. Can somebody help me out?
Just remove eT9.
Button Mapping will work with all emulator and games now, like on my old Hermes.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409]
"Layout Text"="COMP IME"
"Ime File"="compime.dll"
Hope it helps.
Worked perfect! thanks a million. Thank god cause without multi-touch, mario is near impossible to play with the touch-screen!!!

What does STRG stand for?
What were the original registry values for enabling eT9? Can someone check for me, please?

I have a sprint touch pro 2 and did the above and i still can't map keys in morph gear. Can someone post the eT9 string that i deleted so i can put it back??? Also what does deleting this do???
Not working on my Sprint Touch Pro 2 either.... any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I solved the Sprint TP2 morphgear button mapping issue. When you go to map the keys, click the little "..." to bring up the "request button to map" pop-up.
Now, click on the bottom center of the screen to bring up the keyboard. When the keyboard is up, next to that same icon is an upwards arrow. Click that and it will give you input methods. It might be on something like "Full QWERTY", but change this to "Keyboard". You should now see a virtual keyboard different from the usual one. This maps perfectly to the slide out keyboard. Use the virtual keys to do the mapping, use the slide out to play.
dont forget to set polling methot or else it wont work
srry for my english

For the record, this also works for Tilt 2 and is my preferred solution.
No need to edit registries. Also, you don't have to hold Ctrl to play nor disable eT9, which brings other problems like not being able to edit the eT9.*.txt keymapping text files.

How do you prevent the "Input Mapping" window from disappearing when you bring out the virtual keyboard? Everytime I click on the bottom center virtual keyboard button, the "Input Mapping" window disappears and then the keyboard shows up. It's like the chicken before the egg scenario!
