I wonder if someone could help me. I got a friends wallaby wich had a corrupted rom. I entered bootloader mode (v5.17 i believe) perfectly but i could not upgrade the rom via SD method. then I upgraded the bootloader to 6.22 and at the moment i cant even downgrade the bootloader nor flash a rom. Can someone please elucidate me how to downgrade the bootloader (if needed) or flash a working rom? I used xdarit and osimagetool. thanks in advance!

the bootloader is unlocked and system is jb 4.1.2. I want to update to kitkat and keep unlocked BL.
I have downloaded the rom VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
is rsd flash ok, or is there a fastboot way to update anything like system, radio, recovery except BL to kitkat?

Update everything. Once unlocked, your bootloader can't be locked, so you are safe. I recommand you not to try to flash only some parts. It should cause hard brick (something similar happened to me).

This is a pretty simple question so please take 10 SECONDS out of your time if possible to give me an answer
So, if I flash the latest bootloader N910F COK2 (to install Kyubi ROM V6), am I going to be able to downgrade to an older bootloader, to try dr.ketans ROM for example (needs N910F OI3 bootloader)?
It should work.
I tried out COK2 a few days ago and there was a WIFI problem in that Rom i used, so i downgraded the Bootloader to COI3 and then i restored the backup of the system with the recovery

hi ! Please need help. Firstly I was on custom rom. Then I flashed stock fast boot rom sucessfully & then I got the update of android 8.1 if upadted my software to 8.1 . After two days I revert back to custom roms . Now I just wants to go back to stock so i flashed the earlier version of stock rom but i ****ed up my device now its not booting up on bootloader mode is showing. what to to now? i m from india.
Which custom rom u were on?
Which version did u downgrade to?
Did u take entire backup (efs and persist) before flashing custom rom?
For temporary solution : Try selecting "start" in bootloader?

Is your bootloader is working or it get stucks on bootloader image.
You downgraded your bootloader. (I suppose)
"Now I just wants to go back to stock so i flashed the earlier version of stock rom"
Well... That's bad.
"my device now its not booting up on bootloader mode is showing."
What is it showing? Is it showing the bootloader? What version?
(Do you know how to check that? Please use a translator if English is not your main language or something.)
"After two days I revert back to custom roms."
Better act more decisively next time. That cost your device a potential brick.
Thanks guys i recovered my device by just pressing restart.
I've just installed the newest firmware for my J730F with the latest U5 bootloader.
The issue i'm having with it is that any custom ROM i install the SIM card is not being recognized.
Apparently Samsung has made bootloader downgrading impossible so i'm stuck with the stock ROM if i wanna have a working SIM.
Any solutions to this?
I also did the mistake and updated to the latest firmware now i am stuck. Tried to downgrade but ended up being failed. Can anyone help please?
Hi all i hope i'm in the right section.
I have a T510 with stock rom T510XXU5CUF4.
I successful unlocked the bootloader (i have the message when i bott that tells me that the bootloader in unlocked).
After the bootloader unlovk i've tryied to flash the custom rom (Lineage) using tarball with odin.
The procedure says that i must flash the rom with Odin using AP.
Every time i try to flash it immediately i have a FAIL message from Odin (i've try different cables and different computers) and the result is a softbrick.
the same happen when after the bootloader unlock i try to flash twrp.
Could someone explain me why i can't flash a costum rom or twrp on this tablet?
Thanks

I can see two possibilities. First of all, the latest stock is CUJ1 and not CUF4. Two, does the custom ROM include a blank vbmeta file? You might want to follow the instructions to flash TWRP prior to flashing the ROM.
I've try with the instructions for twrp and it doesn't work too. Anything I try to flash except stock I get fail message. Maybe I should do something else? Does my bootloader looks unlocked but it is locked?

The first thing you need to do is flash the latest, CUJ1, stock ROM. You can use frija.exe to get it. All of the things you are trying to flash are based on that kernel. Also, you need to boot the stock ROM, connect wifi, skip the rest of the setup and enable Dev mode before trying to flash custom stuff.
