Hi,
is there a simple application available, where it shows me or allows me to check the sunrise and sunset times each day?

SBSH PocketWeather, not really a "simple application" btw.
If you like it simple, try this one.
http://home.comcast.net/~jsachs34/
Click on "Ephemeris 1.0", works OK for me.
ALL credit to the author, obviously.
You can also try the Marsware Wheatherpanel program - It will display sunrise and sunset I believe

I have used Sun n' Moon on other PDA's, but it only works as a Today plug-in:

The existing version 1.1.1 is not WM5 compatible so although it runs on our wizards it will not update the weather after the next soft reset. Version 1.5 is still considered a beta version so it still has some missing features / functions but i have been using it for a couple of months and it works pretty well.
Cheers

what do you think about SBSH pocketweather?? does it have the same problems??
I'm using PocketWeather 1.2.4 on my 838. So far I don't have any problems with it. I have it updating everytime I am connected to Activesync between 8am ~ 5pm, I don't have it update on it's own [connect by itself].

hey mate I sent to you a private message
I stopped using any SPB products on my Xda mini. Pocket Plus caused lock ups on soft re-booting and Journal would not work.
I am now using SBSH Pocketweather and SBSH iLauncher instead. As far as i am concerned both progs are better, cheaper and more importantly work 100% with WM5.

exactly...but to me SPBpocket plus still works good...hopefully :? it won't change...now I'm trying SBSHpocket weather...great job really...it support even proxy!!!
I use SPB Weather because can put it like a Folder os SPB Pocket plus that I like very much (have today icons, many funtions to assign a button like "task switch", battery meter, a folder with files that you use frequently, a X close button that close apps realy, calendar folder, tasks folder, etc...) have many many functions!
As I use Weather as a folder I can save Today screen space!
If I use another app weather I will use more today space...
I hope SPB can make a new version of weather (not Beta) soon...
Now I use WiFi connection without proxy to sync weather and is ok.
SPb weather 1.5beta has a problem with updating when docked. Also Intellicast forecasts don't work now. The authors work on that and will release a new version when it's ready.
Giordano, you don't need a new serial as it's still version 1.x As far as it's so you may use your serial to register a new release.

let's hope they will hurry cause I'm falling in love far SBSH pocket weather
Don't let your heart go
Actually, i'm glad with SPb products: they are useful, and they are made in my hometown so i have a chance to support local developers ))
there is a file on this site for the spb bug called weatheragent2.exe.
I can probably post it, but thought there was a problem posting .exe's on the forum.
if someone wants to pm me an email address i can email it.
it requires a manual click though and doesnt automate the update, but clicking on it forces the update.
it works on my jasjar wm2005 device.
I've just bought and installed the WM 5 compatible version. Installed fine and got my first weather downloaded. I can't get it to refresh though "Weather Data is Not Ready". I've tried through Active Sync and wireles. The ony other thing I've done is added an additional weather source in line with this;
http://www.pdagold.com/themes/detail.asp?t=12007
Deleted that (just in case) but made no diference - won't refresh !
Also: anyone know how to change the text in SPB Weather to white not black (as it was in previous versions) - I use a black Today background and black text doesn't show too well !!!!!
did you try to change the weather source?
Carmi
Yes but no difference.

I use MARSWARE Weatherpanel 2.5 trail version
http://www.marware.net
It works perfectly on my Wizard SPV M3000 (by orange france).
You can choose several cities, use cycle display, change themes, icon set, and the layout. By default, this software contains several themes, layout,...
The data update can be done by automatical connection programmed or by ask if you don't have data edge connection (Wifi and Activesync for me).
It supports the PDA proxy settings (useful for weather update during working times).
I searched through a lot of these weather forecast software and I'm having problems with most of them because I stayed in a 'small' city in UK, and most of the software just doesnt have my city in the chart.
So, can you check if this has the city "Exeter" in its list?

i agree with you. it's the best weather plugin, it has animated icons and it is very functional
anyone got a download link for the .cab?
http://www.marsware.net/WeatherPanel/main.htm
I used to use the Marsware one as well on my old X50v. Then when I got my Vario I decided to try SPBWeather instead - might not have the fancy animations but takes up much less space than MarsWare. SPBWeather still has multiple city support and manual or auto updates for retrieving weather info.
I found a great template for it that grabs weather direct from the www.bbc.co.uk/weather and so you can find 99.9% of all UK towns and cities. It also supports other countries as well.
PC Install or PDA Cab : http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/weather/download.html?en
BBC Weather Template : http://www.pdagold.com/themes/detail.asp?t=12007
Support for the BBC template : http://www.spbdn.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53
Templates for other online weather sites : http://www.pdagold.com/themes/list.asp?tp=11
SPB Weather - BBC
I have just tried this, installed the app and downloaded the BBC weather 1.2 templates.
All I get is "Error downloading data from site", but it has definately been downloading some data.
I followed the instructions, word for word and they were accurate - but no weather.
Does anyone have any ideas... is it reallt WM5 compatible?

I mentioned in my post that I'm using it on my Vario so yes it does work on WM5.
Have you unzipped the templates and put them into...
\program files\spb weather\templates
...and added them to the programs like the instructions described?
Also, what city/town code are you trying? Let me know and I'll try it on my Vario.

I'd quite like a free or "free" UK weather plugin. I fear one doesn't exist, however. If anyone can assist, please reply (or PM )
Thanks

Meschle posted this one in here earlier...
http://www.sompy.com/sweather.html
...but strangely his post has disappeared. I've not personally tried that app so I don't know what it's like - but give it a shot
Hmm I noticed that, I assumed it was because the screenshot was American, so it did only UK weather, but a quick check shows that it says "around the world". The only other thing however is that it says
CPU: Intel Xscale
Does that mean it won't work at all, or just really badly on the Mini S? Mine is slow enough as it is without being any slower!
edit: I guess i found out myself. I tried to install and when confirming on the XDA, it said "Space Required: 1kb" which obviously isn't right, and nothing has appeared on my device at all. Damn
Well i tried MARSWARE Weatherpanel 2.5, however i have two issues with it; Firsty, it seems to really slow my MDA down and when i pull the keyboard out it takes much longer to flip the screen. Secondly, it has installed a strange hard to read font which Opera has seems to have adpoted to start using in its a address bar etc.
Anyone else has any of the probems or know a fix/tweak?
I have spb weather on mine it works great. I liv ein a small town in the south east UK and I simply did a search on weather.com for the code to enter and created a custom city in the software with this code and downloaded the weather.com forecast.
I highly recommend this for any UK dwellers as it works perfectly and weather.com covers the whole uk in pretty good detail.

i think this sw is more suitable for someone who want the program looks more professional

I'm a proud owner of a MPX200 with WM5 and also a Qtek S200.
On the MPX200 I had tested an application that scrolled on the display all the appointments and tasks. Is there something like this that works on the Qtek or any other PDA for that...
If it's any good, i'm posting the link for the Smartphone original program:

Hi, I've tested both solutions, but what I was hoping was a Horizontal Scroller instead of the scrolling buttons on the right.
I'll keep on looking further, thanks again
The only scrolling today screen feature I've seen is with PocketMax phonealarm, they have a scrolling feature that will show your carrier, the date, time data usage etc.
I have tried a few of the old ones like spg but they dont work with TF3D on.
anyone has any recommendations?

You must have great faith in weather forecasts.
The only thing I really miss from my old TyTN II is WeatherPanel with its extensive information. However, the default HD2 weather is fine for everything except the missing sunrise/sunset times. Does anyone have a small app to suggest that I can install? Sunrise PPC 1.4 is unacceptable because it doesn't save settings (as far as I can tel).
Thanks in advance.

excellent ideea! I need too!
I need too, anyone can help us?
Weather4me gives sunrise and sunset info. bouncing around on bus, can't search for link at the mo ; )

This has worked well for me for quite awhile: http://www.brothersoft.com/mobile/sun.n.moon-60299.html
So why don't you reinstall weatherpanel app on your HD2 ? I have it with diamond skin and it works fine.

Exactly what I did. Once I found the "Darkness231 TF3D to WeatherPanel Switcher.cab" which allows quick switching between views, I re-installed WeatherPanel and tweaked it to look somewhat like the rest of the HD2 views.
