Hi everyone!
I've a Cingular 8125 that has a unique situation.
The blue LED (bluetooth) keeps staying on no matter what I did.
So far, I've performed the following:
1. Multiple soft-resets
2. Multiple hard-resets
3. Reflashing the ROM
Despite all these efforts, the blue LED will stay on.
Sometimes, it does not come on immediately but after awhile, it will light up.
Does anyone know what it means?
The bluetooth is definitely turned off so it cannot be the bluetooth that's causing it.
Furthermore, it's lit up & does not blink at all.
The unit does not have any liquid damage at all.
Please advise me what can be done about it.
Thanks!

I just got a Tmobile MDA today and it's a cool little device. However, the LED Flash is randomly turning itself on, does not randomly turn itself off, and the weird thing is that it doesn't always stay on at full brightness. I have found that if I manually toggle the flash in the camera app, it turns off the flash for a time.
Also it tries to light up kinda like the way a fluorescent bulb lights up, flickering and only going full blast if I turn it on.
I have checked the wiki, and the first three pages of the forum, and google, and no mention of this problem. Any ideas or maybe a fix that I missed??
Thanks!
Hi
Glad to know I am not the only one with this problem!
Mine started to happen about a year ago, exact same symptoms as you describe. I have not managed to find a fix and can tell you it is defo not software related.
O2 Xda Mini S is the model I have for your ref, O2 are of course saying it needs to be sent back under warranty.
If you do ever find a fix post a reply as I would be interested to know what it is!

ive been searching solution to this problem for almost 6 months now, still to no avail.
This is happening a couple of time per day. When I try to answer a call, everything freezes. The display will be stuck at the incoming call screen.
It will not soft reboot. I have to pull the battery. Today, it answered the call and switched to speaker(my bluetooth was connected), I could hear the caller but he could not hear me.The screen still showed an incoming call.No response from any buttons.
I can post logcat and bugreport if needed.
I'm running the latest radio and CM build.
Any ideas?
Most of the issues I have ever had with android usually stem from a poorly written program. Try uninstalling some recent programs you have installed.
my phone(tmo g2,rooted running extrahotsauce rom) is flashing the green and orange lights as well now that its charging...the battery was fine and i was doing a backup using clockword mod recovery and once that occured i rebooted, then rebooted again into recovery and from then on the phone hasn't turned back on. i put it on charge at first and no light, left it on for a bit and now there's green and orange led lights blinking continuosly, any one know the cause? and more important, the solution? any help would be much appreciated, thanks
wrong thread,sorry
Hi People. Firstly I want to say a big "Thank You" to this board. Because of this place I have Android running very stably on my HD2.
Now to my question...
When I stick a new build on my SD card, the notification LED seems to work fine when I have just installed the build, but after a reboot the LED kinda goes wierd. It's like it wants to work, but isn't quite. i.e. If I lock the screen I see the LED blink once, then it stops. Then if I power up the scree again I get another blink.
But I know it does work fine straight after a build gets initially installed.
Anyone got any ideas what might be able to fix that?
(Using VBNDroid WM ROM, JDMS Stock PPP Android ROM, MDJ S4 Kernel)
I had the same problem, but have found a reliable (but not practical) way around it. I found that if on each reboot I have my phone connected to a charger or computer USB, the LED's will work fine. If not, then sometimes they will and sometimes not. I have tested this over the past four days with consistent results. If anyone can try it and comment it will be appreciated.
Thanks
Ah.... Interesting.
I kinda noticed the same thing, but wasn't sure if I was just imagining it or not!
So when you power on your phone, you just have it connected to power? Then once you disconnect your notification LED still works yeah?

Click to collapse
Exactly!
I've just tried this, and it seems to work.
Powered down my phone with Notification LED not working correctly. Plugged in the power, booted up, unplugged power = notification LED now seems to be working.
I'll do some more testing too, but so far so good.
well...i did the same thing..works but..i have one problem!the led blinks ok for each notification missed call or receiving message..but it blinks only once and then dissapears..is there any point so i can make it work like in windows mobile where there it blinks every 4 seconds????thanks..
Or, the notification light gets 'stuck' on, and isn't consistent? I.e. works OK for a moment, text message gives a flashing red... then green gets stuck on? Then I get another text and red gets stuck on?
Notification misbehaviour!
Hi,
I need some advice. I bought a Derfy a couple of weeks ago, everything is fine, except the notification led. It lights up blue right when I insert the battaery, and remains active, no matter what I do. If I get a notification, it flashes purple-blue.
I checked the indicator, it seems that no water reached the phone. I cannot find a hardware issue.
Does anyone have an idea, what this thing should be? Not a big problem, but it's irritating.
do You have stock rom or not?
I use stock software now, but tried with many custom builds, the blue led stayed.
Hello,
recently I'm experiencing a problematic issue with my phone. After some time of using it, the back "always on" screen turns on by itself, mirroring whatever is on the main screen. When it happens, I have the same screen available on both front and back of the phone. What is more, a switch to turn YotaMirror on/off doesn't work and both screens remain active. To solve the problem I have to either restart my phone or click on any YotaApp that uses back screen only (like Chess or Sudoku) and start a game on back screen. It solves the problem for a while, but it appears again several times during the day, draining my battery and making my screen visible to everyone.
Is it a known bug? Is there any known pernament solution to this? What may be the cause of this strange behavior? I didn't install anything new recently when it appeared.
I'll be very grateful for any advice and help.
Yours sincerely,
Adam (bukimi)
