skyfire and 5.99 t-zone proxy.. - Wing, P4350 General

i just downloaded the newest skyfire and i tried to run it but i cant connect..could this be kuz im using the proxy "hack" isthere any way to get around this and use skyfire with the proxy settings i have now???

How often have you tried connecting? And do other programs that use the internet still work?

From what I understand you cannot connect to Skyfire via the tzones proxy because skyfire itself acts like a proxy. From my research on the subject, there is no way around it. It is much like trying to remote desktop using the tzones proxy, it just doesn't work.

yeah ive tried too but Skyfire doesnt work w/ the proxy, opera mini however does

IM program and tzones

Will any IM program (AIM) work with tzones and the tmobile proxy? I used agile on my old nokia 3360 and it would connect. Not the case with the MDA. I have tried a bunch with no luck. Thanks
yeah, nothing really works with tzones, proxy and all. gotta get the full-blown internet plans to get any messenger program working other then the built-in client(which may or may not use texts)

Anyone able to use Outlook Web Access w/MDA and $5.99 plan?

OK, this is driving me crazy, I've tried several browsers and can't get OWA to work on my T-Mobile MDA with the TMO internet $5.99 plan. It does work with Opera or NetFront on WiFi. Here's what I've tried so far:
* IE Mobile (PIE) - OWA does not work, even with WiFi. As reported in other forums, this browser does not open the authentication pop-up. Adding PIEplus didn't help, nor did Multi IE (although they seem to be handy programs).
* Opera - OWA works w/Wifi but not w/$5.99 plan. The latter gives error message "The proxy server requested a login authentication method that is not supported." This is because, to surf the web with this plan, it is necessary to configure a proxy server, and (according to the Opera web page), this browser does not support Microsoft's proprietary protocols for encrypted authentication with a proxy server.
* NetFront - same as Opera.
* MiniMo - Had heard that this browser is not yet very capable, but wanted to try it anyway. Could not get it to work at all, would not open any web pages and often froze.
Any ideas for other things to try?
Thanks much,
B

Thanks for the link, didn't solve my issue but helpful info.
We can only use a certian port with the 5.99 plan. We cant get access to the others that the programs need

IE working, but not Opera Mini. (Tzones proxy)

Hey guys,
This morning every thing was working fine with my t-zones proxy connection. I could use Opera Mini. I let my son try to set-up an e-mail account, and when I got it back, there was no email and no more opera.
Opera cannot connect to the tzones proxy any longer and I'm wondering if there may have been a setting my son bumped when trying to adjust the email. The odd thing is IE still works fine and can connect.
Opera works fine when WiFi is enabled. I am using the Tmobile Wing (HTC Herald) with Touch-IT touched by vista ROM (which should not matter.)
Thanks for any incite
i read that you have to use esmertec jbed midlet to launch it
Edit: For some reason I was able before to just click the "O" shortcut to launch opera mini. Now I need to select the "e" java manager shortcut to launch it. It is now working correctly.. I just don't understand why this would happen, and why only for tmobile proxy - not for wifi..
Thanks for your response, but the program launches fine and has worked fine up until today.
There must be some TZones setting that was switched, but I don't understand how IE could still work if that was the case.
The problem lies only in Opera reaching the proxy.
IE can reach it fine, and Opera can reach internet through Wifi.
Opera for some odd, odd reason cannot reach the tzones proxy.
Any other suggestions? Thanks
When I try to access a site using Opera Mobile, everthing is fine. When I try using Opera Mini, I get this error message:
"Failed to connect to the Internet.
100
java.io.IOException: null
Click here to start the connection test."

Which Browser has the proxy for connection?

hi,
I just wanna find the web browser which has the function like the manual configuration for proxy for my SEX1. Because I want to use the wifi at my Uni, but it requires that I have to config the proxy settings like the guide of Uni, then I can surf web via Uni wifi..
Thanx

I use NetFront Web Browser v3.5
It has this feature + many others.
It is set as my default browaser.
I highly recommend it
Opera has proxy settings too i think. Go to opera:config

Browsers that work with proxies under WiFi

What experiences have users had with different browsers using a proxy and WiFi ? The only one I can get to work is SkyFire. Others, such as IEm, Opera mobile and mobile beta, Fennec, NetFront all appear to bypass the proxy settings - unless I am doing something wrong with my settings. If anyone has had success using these and/or other browsers through WiFi and a proxy, please advise how you set up the proxy.
