I've been looking for a ipsc timer software for quite some time now, and can't seem to find one anywhere.
for those (most of you I assume) that don't know what ipsc is... it's a shooting class where you need a timer to start you (gives off a loud "beep") and starts a timer at same time, using a mic to put "laptimes" at each bang, giving you a final time off when the last "bang" was registered.
here you can see a bit more about such timers.

If anyone knows where I can find a program that'll achieve this, I'd be super happy (always forget my bought timer at home, but never forget to bring phone)
Also looking for the same soft
Me too looking for the same soft.
Will try to create it by myself now.
How is the progress of this software, is there anywhere to find?
I know there is this kind of software to Iphone but I havnt found it yet for WM.
Br bollis
Yes, I'm looking for this too......
not fair....only available in I-phone
Any change on this one? I'm also looking for an IPSC timer app on the HTC touch2.

Hello,
is there a program or a setting for allowing filming but when on/off button pressed the filming not to stop?In this manner we can still film but noone to observe.
Thanks,
Another possibility for your spyCam would be to write a programm which films and shows a black screen.
the idea is good
i know...but there is nothing done at the moment?
A GOOD spy cam should have movement detection trough the cam, so it can:
Make a photo, a video, play an alarm when movement is detected;
Register only audio
Upload it to anywhere,
Send it via MMS
launch an app.
Nothing exist like this, the only "decent" app is JGUI InvisibleShooter, but still (and i think never) not complete.
Symbian OS are full of that apps.
Disclaimer 1: I'm not a developer.
Disclaimer 2: I searched and didn't find a similar app
In searching for applications to improve the results from my wife's iPhone camera, I came across a few iPhone apps that cleverly use the accelerometer to assist in picture taking -- namely they wait until the accelerometer registers the fact that the phone has stopped moving before triggering the shutter.
It seems to me that a similar application would work on the Diamond/Touch Pro/HD -- once the "shutter button" has been pressed, the camera autofocuses, and then waits for a "steady" moment to finish taking the picture.
Again, I'm a UI/Tech Specs type of person, so I don't know how open the camera api is. That said, it seems, in theory, that this should work and wouldn't be to tough to do (hell, they managed to do it on the iPhone).
What do you think?

Have you really noticed a difference on iPhone with this program?
here you go buddy
this may solve ur problem

That's an interesting app, but not quite the same thing. While it's nice that it lets you level the shot, it doesn't look like it uses the accelerometer to trip the shutter. So the hand shake potential is still there.
As far as the Steadycam app, it helps. It isn't going to turn the iPhone into a digital camera replacement, but it does assist low light pictures.
Here's a review of two of the iPhone Apps I've been playing with:

It is a good app if it exists. It is good for someone's hands are not steady when taking photos.

Hi,
I've just finished an app for windows mobile specifically for skiers that allows you to view your average and top speed, as well as the distance covered for your last run. It also keeps track of your total distance traveled as well as your highest speed ever achieved.
All information is displayed on one easy to read screen. It has a "reset run" feature which allows you to clear your last run statistics ready to collect data for your next run, or to challenge your friend to beat your record.
Version 1.0.1.0
Features Added:
* Option to use Metric system(km, km/h, meters)
* Notification will now pop-up when an Update is available
Bugs Fixed:
* Fixed bug where app wouldn't shutdown correctly on first registration
* Fixed bug where some devices were unable to display altitude
* Minor tweeks
There is a feature limited trial verion which is restricted to viewing your average speed for a run, your current altitude and your direction of travel.
Attached is a screen shot. It runs in a trial mode until registered. To register I'm asking for a donation of £1.50 to help support ongoing development.
For more information or to download my app please go to my site: http://www.fehnerssoftware.co.uk
Awesome. I will definitely give this a try next time i'm on the mountain.

If you do let me know what sort of speed you get up to 47mph is my pb so far.
Check your PM's
Is this app fast enough to keep up with a vehicle speed? It would be great for checking speed and heading in a car or motorcycle. You could change some wording and rename to something like MyAutoBuddy and release it as another app!
I'd love to have that for my phone

Yup It can keep track of vehicle speed easily, thats mostly how I tested the app out I've only actually been skiing with it once
For a vehicle what would you want to see? currently it shows average speed, top speed for run, top speed ever reached, distance that run, total distance over all runs, direction of travel, and altitude.
Allthough designed for skiing it can be used for running, cycling etc.
Compile Maps?
I went boarding last month and searched around for piste maps for my sat nav, but no joy.....
Think you could develop this to record the route taken and then view on google maps for example......?
If you got enough users to be able to upload data it wouldn't be long before you compiled piste routes and speed records etc......?
Just a thought......

I can add the ability to log the gps data so that it can be viewed in google earth, google maps etc.
First post updated with change history
Hi guys, i dont know where to post this but here goes!!!!
Before the arrival of the Nand version of the android, there were many SD versions of the android that had a glitch with the camera focus, which the dev teams have ironed out. The problem was that when the camera was focused on a close object (video rec) and then the record was started, the camera will not auto adjust to other object but stay fixed on the focus point it was when you started. This was fixed with the button feature that was within the menus (auto focus on/off).
This may of been a problem for most users but was an excellent feature for the Mobile Directors (my university film crew). We decided that we will do all of our university film projects using my fantastic HD2 and this glitch feature played a vital role. I have been meaning to post our work here for a long time but never had the chance as it is our final majors. But i have uploaded 1 of the first video's we made long time ago using that glitch for the builds.
Now what i need help with is if those DEV SUPER TEAMS can look into this feature again and put it into the new builds so that we can carry on making amazing films with our HD2 if it is possible. The problem is that i cant find the old build i had and the new builds don't have this feature.
Before you say anything please look at the 1 min vid which we created with the focus problem (by focusing on foreground the background is blurred) that i am talking about and share your thoughts on the matter. (i will upload some more soon).
http://vimeo.com/22366901?ab
Filmed in black and white - please note the blurred focus scenes that were done using the glitch. FILMED ONLY USING HTC HD2 with very basic editing.
Camera Focus Glitch on camera (need it back)
wow, my post got lost in just 1 day in the millions of posts!
I need help!!! i need the camera focus glitch back for filming. can someone please direct me in the right direction please! (read above to know what i am talking about)
Saw some really great pics in the pics thread. Awesome work but I have not seen much in terms of goto optimum settings G4 owners use. Thought this would be an interesting thread.
Kindly post:
- App you use if other than stock (there are G5 and V10 camera apps and others)
- Manual settings for daytime indoor, outdoor, low light and night time shots
- Or automatic settings that you may prefer to find the right balance of quality for all situations.
- other tweaks/tips
Kindly share so that we can all get the best possible pics out of our G4s.
I use Manual Mode on the V10 camera app:
ISO: 50 (always)
All the other settings, depends on the time of the day (or night ) and if is indoor ou outside, but ISO is always on the min !
