hi there. i already successful connected thumbcal to my home screen calender, and it worked instantly. but how can i connect my g-alarm, so that i can access it from my home clock? it didnt work the same way...
you propably didn't install g-alarm in the device storage. it should work if you install it there.

I am a definite newbie that just updated to wm6 and would like something different, you know to personalize my 8525. I would like to have a bigger clock and some local weather information. It would also be nice to have larger buttons to make better use of the available screen space. I do not have the capability to do any reg edits, or even know what they are - so I am asking for a simple installation method with instructions for something that does not void my warranty. I could not figure out how to get it on the 8525. I did dl to my pc but could do anything with it.
copy them both to your device and run them from there they are cab files, just extract them on your pc then copy both cab files over to your 8525 and open them there
I got it downloaded directly to the 8525 but do not know what to do now. Not sure where it is either. please help
well wherever you put it on your hermes, e.g. storage card go there with file explorer on your device and click on each cab file and it will install ,install htc home customiser first as htc home will reboot the phone after it has installed
for a retail app, look at SPB Mobile Shell, which will do that and more
Will this program erase any data on the phone?
I am using the six button version of HTC Home Plugin. I am trying to be slick and edit the registry to add a second Quicklist tab to add even more applications. It will work for Home, Sound and Phone Dial but not Quicklist. Any ideas?

Currently: Home, Weather, Launcher and Profiles
I keep trying to add the 'Contacts' but it does not show up when I customize with either the "Today" or "HTC Home Customizer"
It should be fairly easy but I cannot find where to make the change in the registry if that is where it needs to be done.
Which version of HTC Home Plugin are you using? It might only be a 5 tabbed version. Try this one:

Are you also running any form of the Flo Cube? If so. That Is why.
To solve you need to go to today settings, uncheck contacts, hit ok. then go back in and check it to show again. Should be fine.
I use Chronos (a clock program) as my screensaver. I also use Spb PocketPlus for my home screen rather than the stock HTC home screen.
I'm trying to find the command in the software that invokes the screensaver so I can put a link to it on my home screen. I cannot find anything that works in the Windows folder (like scrnsaver in XP).
I also use TweakHD, but can't find anything in there.
Anybody know where this might be found? If I activate to the chronos.exe file, it brings up the full program with the settings indicator, etc. so that I can't dismiss it just by touching it. That's why I'm trying to find the command within the OS that invokes the screensaver.

screensaving with pdas means switching off the screen. you will not have much fun with a device that is switched on all the time, because your battery will be drained in less than a day. so there´s no switch to use to activate a screensaver like at your computer at home

I would like to ask You for real help, advise, suggestion what to do.
First of all I know I can make hard reset but it is not a solution for me - more important is data on this mobile than to use it.
Samsung I780, WM 6.5 with HTC TODAY (big clock, six tabs) with tasks, calendar and wireless plugin.
I wanted to add Resco today plugin. Installation without problem . Restart and my phone hangs - loading startup animation, bottom bar with soft keys and nothing else. It hangs in today screen loading moment and phone doesn't respond to anything. Tapping, keyboard, buttons - nothing.
When I'm pushing buttons for example left softkey with shortcut to contacts after restart - they will open, so means that system respond before loading today screen, but then it is loaded in background and system hangs
I tried to restart many times with power button, removing battery.Soft restart with hole on left side. I hoped that after keys combinations Fn + enter + power - to force upgrading state will help, green + red + power to prepare for hard restet will help. After restart it is the same. In all those situations windows 7 x64 mobile center or windows xp x64 active sync, windows xp active sync cannot connect with mobile. In case when I connect it by cabel and I turn phone on activesync is trying to make a connection but after one or two minutes the sync icon is grey and nothing happend. With SD or without - still the same.
I was trying to establish connection PC-mobile by Mirage soft.
Mobile doesn't respond (for sure because of today plugin)
The questions are:
1. is there a key combination to force startup to default theme without loosing data, clear startup without any theme, plugins?
2. is there a possibility to make an autorun file on SD card to overwrite today theme configuration file at startup?
3. is there a possibility to make any batch file which block theme loading or will change theme registry entries?
4. is there a possibility to force connection between mobile and PC to get data without from PC?
5. Do You, HACKING WINDOWS MOBILE GODS, have any idea how to recover data from this mobile ?
If You have any friend, who knows or who has I780, or who has huge knowledge about WM - please show him this post.
