Hey, I would like ro request a better version of the calendar.
Touch/finger friendly. like the iPhone calendar.
- Day view, with Time, and planes (more welldone shown then WM-calendar.)
- Monthly view with stickers on the day for happenings or so, like the Windows app. Rainlender,
- maybe included in the "home" tab i TF3D, with icons, as i would like above.
- maybe show the monthly view like the "calendar tab by D-MAN666" but more changeable, like the rainlender.
- a view that we could se ONLY uppcomming like the iPhone. fingerfriendly list with only the dates connected to a apointment show,
- on birthdays maybe a little thumb of the person.
like so:
[15. may. 08]
[school icon] - presentasjon in math
[job icon] [and ! symbol] - early shift, remember
[17. sept. 08]
[birthday icon] - Jimmy {19y} (synced with the contacts)
and so on...
Click to collapse
and more futures, i love D-MAN666 way off showing the calendar, but i would like to changes apointmants in it, ad remove and so on.. and i cant do that :/
The WM calender i think looks like a mess, and the calendar is a important program for me...

You perhaps need to look at buying a calendar and linking it through touchflo. Agenda One or Pocket Informant may suit your requirements.
Steve
I use "thumbCal" it is very good, have a look in development and hacking for it. I have it mapped to a soft key but you could ssmapa to fix it to tf3d.

DeveloperOne released V7.50 of AgendaFusion for WM5 on 1st Dec. I haven't seen it mentioned in these forums. Anybody got any feedback about it?
I'm just about to try it:
http://www.developerone.com/agendafusion/download.htm#wm5
Hmm. First impressions: not good.
Contacts are displayed and I can search for them. I can't use the keyboard to dial a contact's number. Gotta use the stylus. This is enough reason to ditch the software IMHO. Can't use the keyboard to find and dial a number while in the car?? This is one strength of the built-in WM5 contacts app., which is actually pretty good.
AF calendar doesn't show a single appointment, of any kind. Weird. Can't find anything in the settings to show/hide certain types of appointment, so I don't know what's going on. Tasks are all displayed OK though. I added an appointment in AF and it appears in my sync'ed calendar on the desktop, but doesn't show on the Exec.
Can't use the keyboard to navigate the calendar or switch calendar view tab. So can't navigate to a day and start a new appointment without getting the stylus out. (For many people this won't be a problem, but it indicates to me that it's not fully compatible with our Universals. If they left out this possibility then what else didn't they consider?) Up/down keyboard buttons do nothing as far as I can tell. Why the hell not?
The screen through which you add an appointment is broken in VGA mode. Unbelievable  There's an unlabelled time input field orphaned in whitespace near the bottom of the screen. I've no idea what it refers to.
No soft-key tabs at the bottom of the screen for common tasks. This isn't a feature unique to the Universal: The soft-key input option is standard to WM5! Why haven't they used it, or at least offered the possibility?
So I'm not happy with AgendaFusion. This is a pity - I loved it on my XDA2. I had hoped that the long-overdue release of their "WM5-compatible" version meant that it'd be the killer PIM, but it offers nothing that PocketInformant doesn't offer, and PI was released weeks ago. What have DeveloperOne been doing?
I've been beta testing AF for a while and I am very happy. I use the Project Management feature a lot. Not had any problems with appointments.
Does any have, or is working on, a touch driven calendar app? I know you can create a new appointment (though it just fires up the lame windows interface) through things like PointUI, but I am looking for something that goes from the creation of the new appointment or reminder through the calendar interface itself that can be used with nothing but a finger and maybe ye olde QWERTY action...
Look for OtO, developers having a few problems at the minute but will be coming back to it.
Sweet! THanks! I am posting a link to the forum hit here:

Does anyone know of a simple Calendar plug-in for Today screen which will just show me the Month view? Preferably free... I have used Quick Cal but its not free. Also should be able to accommodated the HTC Today plug-in. Wish that had a calendar view in a tab!
Well I dont know quick cal, but maybe Calendar+ is something for you.

rl-today is another option. basic skins usually have the monthly view. though is much more (and more complex) than a today plug.in
Thanks I downloaded the rlCalendar. Really good since you can customize it so easily. Only if it had a calendar "scroll" option where one could see future months. But will do for the moment.
I have not tested rl calendar but in rl today it is really easy to add several months at a time. to have a button to go forward and backwards showing months you will need some more advanced stuff with rl-today and mortscript.
Hello,
Because, there is no such fonction in standard, I'm searching for an easy-to-use solution for displaying next appointments
For exemple, combining today agenda + second today is not an easy-to-use solution.
Manilla 3 came with a new calendar but without week view.
Is there really no solution to display next appointment dates on Manila home screen for exemple ? How guys you handle that ?
I dont know what you mean because appointments I type into my calendar are shown on the home screen one day before the certain date. I think you have to use a calendar that uses the outlook-database to save appointments.
Exact, but for a professional use, one day before the certain date is a too short term view..
I wish I could scroll the view until a week for exemple..
Why do you see using SecondToday as a hard option?
I use this with Spb Diary, and it is both easy to set up, and a doddle to use. It displays forthcoming events, bithdays etc in a clear, easy-to read list for the following 31 days.
I have it assigned to a long keypress on the left softkey, but it could just as easily be assigned to the calendar button

I tested 2nd today + Today agenda few month ago on my Polaris but I was not really conviced. I will try with spb regardless but I will stay frustrated that such a simple fonction as displaying upcoming appointments was so badly implemented..

Wellcome to the club, then. Most who use the HD as a professional tool complain of the same thing.
However, SecondToday does work well, and is only a button-press away. I have set up Spb shell to display just the Diary page as a full-page view, so can see loads of appointments.
I also have high hopes for the new Spb Shell v3 which is due to be released fairly soon, and might use that instead of TF3D.
that's the reason why I went back to the default Windows Mobile Today screen with SBP Diary and Calendar+

Hi,
is there any way to integrate Pocket Informant (agenda view) on the Toch Flow 3 D , maybe by clicking on the calender (so that PI opends in agenda view)?
This really depends how touchflow works.
There are 2 ways. Touchflow can adress the default calander, or the actual program. In previous releases, it adressed the actual program. So big change this will be the case again. Also, from what I've seen, the only way to still open the agenda is installing a 3th party calendar.
When you launch the standarrd Calander app, it will redirect you to the touchflow 3d calender tab. I have to say it's irritating to see that there is no option to go to the real agenda.
As for pocket informant, when you install it you can work with it. Everything you fill in there will come into the regular agenda, en thus also in touchflow 3d.
I expect you won't be able to launch pocketinformant from the touchflow agenda.
(it's upto the pocketinformant developers to decide if they release a tool that integrates with touchflow 3d, but it probably will be the XDA people who will make this possible. Hopefully, with a single program instead of a full rom
I base this information on video's I've seen and past experiences with touchflow. (So haven't had the device in my hands yet)
Another simple option (till we could have a solution)could be to programm a hardware butten in order to open PI agenda view (subject there is any button left /available on the Touch Pro 2.

Helps?
I am not 100% sure if it is TF3D2 compatible.
But in TF3D you (on my PRO) you can then use the srings of the shortcuts of PI to alter the links...
Hope it helps.
