[IDEA] MotoGP with GSensor - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Is possible make a game as MotoGp where the moto is controlled from Gsensor?.
Excuse for my english

I can't help you, although I love MotoGP on Xbox and I'd love someone to have a go at a GSensor supported 3D motor racing game. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if commercial mobile game developers will take advantage of the currently available mobile hardware, once the potential market is big enough. Maybe you can share your idea with them..

wait wait wait wait
you can now play moto gp on htc diamonod???

[REQ] aplication to play iphone games??

hey i was just wondering since iphone has such great g-sensor games would it be possible to create something like a aplication where we would be able to install iphone games and play them on our htc diamond it would be prety cool thanks
i was thinking of something like a iphone game emulator?? what do you guys think would this be possible
Well OsX working on a pc is pretty common so...No, seriously, that would be so "in their face"... Anyone of you talented guys here want to cook this up on a lunch breake?
I just puked a little. On the left side of my keyboard.

lmao, nice one
Yeh We really need one ..Good Idea
iPhysics!
Woud be great indeed to get the only thing the iphone makes better than the rest!!
I mean game wise..... there is quite a huge difference huh
so is anyone going to make something like this??
I kind of laughed when i read this thread title, i doubt this is possible, even through emulation. Miniature version of OSX vs WindowsCE5... whens the last time you seen a non ported OSX app on XP or Vista?

only a little?
just when we thought that we have no more gps or mp3 lags, no battery shortage, no album tf3d questions in short we have the perfect device our friend here remind us the cruel truth......we can not play iphone games on our device.....
i would definitely love to have iphone's MonkeyBall on my diamond!!
so is anyone willing to try this??
The iPhone has a faster cpu and a lower resolution.
So how do you think you will be able to play any game written for the iPhone on the diamond?
TDO
but, the iphone have 3d gpu??
Are You On Something?
Tweak Here guys and gals, just wanting to offer my 2cents. First, I think the Diamond is all around a better device than the iPhone. But we wont get into a debate on that now, but I want to make a point here.
If you go to the iTunes App Store , or the Jailbreak Apps , what do you see. There are 50 games (if not more) to every single utility or hack. Now if you come to XDA , PPCgeeks , or any other windows mobile site, what do you see? Now there are 100 (prob may more) utilites & hacks to every game!!!
Why? I understand it on the iPhones side of things. Most wont jailbreak since the App Store is open, and Apple wont let any hacks on the store, and the few utilites they allow, are monitored closley, and can't do anything to compromise apples control over the device. Therefore, all of the 3rd party iPhone Developers, put all there time into games!!
Now, what about the WM developers. With the release of the diamond, having the great accelerometer, and a dang decent screen, why not put all of that time into developing games that compare to the iPhones, or at least more time!!
But I just wanted to raise the question. Thanks for listening. See you guys later

Still it would be really good if we could get an iPhone Game Emulator for now, as its games have awesome graphics e.g this game see for urselves
I see people arent getting at what kukuriku was suggesting.
there is a very, very small chance of it happening. take, for example, how long it has taken andoid to get on the diamond. and android is an open source OS. the time and effort it would take would be immense and, in short, not worth it. if you need the iphone software so much, then im afraid to say that you bought the wrong device.
emulation is out of the question - too slow, especially for games. the diamond doesnt even have the correct aspect ratio screen either.

lolx... im getting what he says, im a WM Developers + Cook, and i didnt buy the wrong device, i hate APPLE and am a gr8 HTC LOVER+FAN, but the thing is tht WM is capable of much more then what we are using it for, im a COLLEGIATE and lack time else maybe i would have asked some1 else to do it and aspect ratio might not be such a big problem
well
I'm sure an OSX emulator would be possible, but it would probably run very slow on our 528mhz processors. Maybe when Snapdragon and Tegra get more popular it would be more viable, but even then I don't think anybody will take the time to do it.
However,
In just over a month the WinMo Marketplace is supposed to be launched, I think when we see an app store for WinMo coming pre-installed on all new devices there will be a lot of the *fun* type apps that *regular* consumers want on their phones.
As of now average joe doesn't come on to XDA-Dev often, if at all, and most of the people writing applications are doing it for free because they're developing apps they want, not apps they're planning on making money off of. Don't worry guys, the Marketplace is coming soon!

Top Android 3D Games

Hi!
Last night, I wrote a list of the in my opinion top Android 3D games: Raging Thunder 2, Armageddon Squadron, SpeedX and Homerun Battle 3D. I also included a bunch of other games that I think are worthy representatives of 3D gaming on Android at the moment.
Are there any more games that I should now of? As you may know, Gameloft has released a whole bunch of Android 3D games. They got some backlash for not making them available in the Market, and for their DRM policy. But soon purchased games can be redownloaded from their own online store. Has anyone tried any of them and if so, how do they perform on the HTC Desire? I think a couple of them look very promising indeed
Cheers
you can add to the list RealFootball, Let's Golf, asphalt 5 (i can't believe that you've missed this ), iron sight, hero of sparta. wonderful 3D games.
Do you know if there is 3D chess? on windows mobile i had one, it was so nice!!!
Asphalt 5 could be an amazing game but the code is really awfull resulting in a lot of framedrops when more then 2 cars are on screen
i'm agree with you @pina_
Check out Crusade of Destiny, very nice RPG (although the save games doesn't work for me )
I bought Dungeon Hunter from the Gameloft website, and I love it!
Awesome Diablo-like hack'n'slay!
The 3D graphics could be better, but theyre OK, and there are some cool combat and magic effects.
I hope they will make more games available in the Android Market. That would be a much better solution than their company website, which is not really great to use... and you would be sure to get your refund if the game just sucks, like Asphalt 5 (horrible performance).
any other racing game that I should check out? I really like Raging Thunder 2, fast paced, excellent
Game loft games
Gameloft also realsed 10 3D android games:
http://www.gameloft.co.uk/download-games/android/
All the games look pretty good and you can only get it from there website.
has anyone tried them?
A few of those 10 games have been mentioned in this thread. Apparently some work well and others not so well. Be careful as Gameloft seems a little dodgy to deal with at times (not through personal experience, only things I have read).

Em, yes it is.
That's called sharing something that you don't own. You don't own the game, you own a single user licence to play the game and nothing more.

[REQUEST] Compiling GemRB on Android (Read Baldur's Gate 2)

GemRB is a reimplementation of the Infinity Engine. For those of you unfamiliar, it is the engine that powered games such as Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, and Icewind Dale. It seems porting is possible, but someone needs to compile it for Android, together with:
-SDL
-Python
-OpenAL
Here's more details about it: http://gemrb.sourceforge.net/wiki/doku.php
And a more or less interesting preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icyAgs3dFqU
I also suggest we set up a bounty for whoever gets this working, by starting a donation fond once somebody sings up for the job.
If you're interested in developing, please introduce yourself below.

I'm making port to Android. Game works good on my Desire HD. There are some small issues, but I will soon resolve it. The port will work on devices with WVGA or higher resolution displays.

I think, no. Game resources are a commercial product, but the engine does not work without them. But the engine will be available for download from the web.

HTC Evo 4G
Rooted running Evervolv AOSP ROM
I plan to publish port next week.
Port needs up to 150 MBytes of free RAM on device, and maybe more. I have nothing to do with it. This is original GemRB engine requirement.
Only modern powerful phones will run GemRB.
Wow! That's cool, heard about a N900 port last year but luckily never bought one but a Milestone instead
Baldurs Gate 2 will save my Christmas Holidays
Available in Market. Enjoy )
#wowowow simply wow
Installing now - been playing Neverwinter 2 all week co-op with a mate. This is what I wanted for my phone for AGES!!
- Dont think we will get Never winter on our current gen of devices
- I am hoping that bluetooth mouse will work properly......
Thanks so much for your work on this
Really: THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR DOING THIS! YOU SAVED MY CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

[Q] PlayStation games..?

So can someone explain, I am not complaining or anything, but where is the PlayStation suite games (Not the android ones)? Have they released anything more? I know that there's few of them on the marketplace, you can also use PSXerpia tool to play PS1 games, but where are the official ones? I mean there's no awesome titles released, phone was released back in march, is it dead or something? They still making ICS for it so..?
All I found is this:
https://market.android.com/developer?pub=Sony+Computer+Entertainment+Europe+Limited ...1 game?
I mean this phone (as I know) is little more powerfull then PSP, and all I see is one PS1 game in my region. Where are all the Sony exclusive games? God Of War, some MGS, GTA LCS or anything? Are they even planning to release anything? I am confused.
Poland - I see 10 games.
Gotta wait for Playstation Suite, I'd imagine it's coming with the Vita
its out.... i got it its got about 5 games check threads on xda

PS Pocket app keeps telling me that my region is not supported, how to avoid this problem? I have rooted phone.
This is Sony (Sony Ericsson before) not Sony Computer Entertainment.
This isn't an official PlayStation phone. It's an Android phone that's PlayStation certified. There's a difference.
This is what many people thought when it was announced/launched. Don't expect any SCE published games launching exclusively to the Xperia Play.

You can fake your provider to whatever is most convenient and you will be able to purchase some official PlayStation games from the Android Market if they are available.
I faked to Orange (Canada) and was able to purchase games with my US account.
Just use FPse mate
They have been supporting the Xperia play since it came out and you can play all your favorite Ps1 Games 100% relived.
You can also check out N64oid for a Nintendo emulator or try the other one. Mupen64 but it supports the analog sticks.
I have personally tested Mario 64 on it and it's amazing.
Now onto the bit about XP being more powerful then a PSP?
All of that hope is smacked down with the release of this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Vita
The vita is 2x faster than a Xperia play and it's the next generation PSP coming to NA very soon. SCEA will only be worried about making games for that.
So if you wanted an android computer and you got a xperia. you have made a wise choice . if you wanted a gaming device 100% purely. you made a bad one I think
Nah it's ok, I am not big time gamer or something, just wondering.
I have 10 games available and the Official PS app when I check that link. It is ludicrous that it varies so much across the European Union. Ridiculous
I have 10 to. Uuhm ps app? Which link?

psp games being certefied for playstation certified devices

http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/23/psp-games-playstation-certified-devices-ESRB/
they are converting games to work for some devices.
thought it would be nice to update you lot since alot of people ask about psp games on xperia play or any devices
i hope it work for the xperia play i dont see why not if its being developed by sony but not worth getting your hopes up for yet just wait and see for more info

Would be pretty neat

please please just forget about psp emulation its extremely hard and wont happen on our device by any devs on here. unless sony announces that they are releasing a psp emulator in playstation suite (about a 2% chance) then out it to the back of your head and never mention it. it just wont happen for technical reasons.

If these upcoming PSP titles for PS store are truly emulated, could it be cracked/hacked/tamed or just used for our own games just like PSXperia does with PSX tittles ?
But i agree its unlikely, they are possibly ported, but if if

well i believe they are ported so have been changed ti run natively on arm devices (such as our play) but if it is emulated there is a slight chance that it could be abused in such a way as psxperia is.
on a side note if you download any ps1 games off the market such as medievil they have updated them to 1.0.4 which has a license check each time it starts which may stop psxperia working in ice cream sandwich with a updated crash apk to 1.0.4 if they force it
(this is actaully bad as it means your phone uses alot more data checking licenses which doesnt bother me as i have unlimited data allowance but other users may get annoyed if they have a small limited amount of data)
