Friend's Shadow has the camera rotated 90* all of a sudden and I can't figure out how to undo it. Didn't find any threads on it, so not sure what to think.
Get the camera fix from Freddy Reyes site. YOu'll have to do a quick sign-up in order to DL files, but iut's worth it. He's got a ton of great tweaks/utilities there...

Hi all,
I use Itje's Touch-IT version 7 and my camera is misbehaving. Sometimes when I take a picture, it takes about 30 secs before the camera is ready for the next shot. Worst still I'm unable to view the JPG pictures with windows explorer. When I display albums I see the pictures but when I view them through touch IT I see only color bars. When I download them to my laptop the same thing happens. First the images appear well then one by one they become colored bars. Is there any reason for this? And oh, my video clips cannot be read as well.
Any pointers to how to view these pics and solve the problem will be appreciated.
TIA
best thing to do in this situation is address it where you found it. ask in the
v7 thread or actually do a search before you ask. also before you do any of this, 1st take into consideration was this worth a new thread?

Let's all be nice to each other. It's only bytes.
I'm having the same problem with pictures taking forever to save occasionally, but with stock R2AA. Might just be because I have too many things running.
Thanks for the support. Actually I did perform a search but did not get a suitable answer. In my case there weren't many things running and I doubt if the active data connection was the problem. The real problem is how the thumbnail previews appear well but the full view always fails.
The camera version is 6.5 (build 34231). Will check the forums for anything ontoward with this build.
Thanks once again.

I've started wondering whether the geotagging function might cause delays, e.g. as the phone is getting a gps lock? Shot in the dark but might be worth turning off geotagging (if you ever had it on).
Agreed this belongs in the v7 thread...
Would help if you told us whether you were using the HTC canera or the Sony Ericsson camera.
My guess would be you're using the HTC camera and have it set to 5MP when it only supports 3.
I'm sorry I posted here instead of the v7 thread. You guessed right though. I'm using the HTC camera but I've set the resolution to 3M. Geotagging might be the issue. I'm going to remove it and replace it with the SE camera. I've lost quite a bit of good photos which can't be repaired.
I just applied the HTC Camera Hotfix, what exactly does it fix, because now all my pictures just look misty white with rubbish colour, close up with the flash is unusable.
Dont get it.
Added Some Samples, Before And After, thank god for SPB Backup!
Yep, flash has some problems. We just need to wait even more ..
Now it has more problems, i reflashed to before i applied the so called fix, crap!.
I have uninstalled the 'fix'. My camera wasn't too bad without it but definitely worse with it!
Its easily removed, I believe.
Looked under Manage applications, and its there as an app.
Was going to remove it myself, as it hasn't helped.
In that case i will retest in daylight, but night shots are truly shocking.
I like many on here was very disappointed with the quality of the camera, but thanks to the excellent guide posted on here it improved it 10 fold, but i decided to give a camera app a try anyway and looking through "htc likes" apps on My phone stumbled onto an app called "camera360".. I thought i'd give it a try as it gives you a free trial version (limited to just the basics).. and after a while (getting used to the many many options) decided to buy it, this is the first app ive bought for my dhd.. only costs $3.99 (around £2.69).. it had a handy paypal link so no messing about with my credit card etc.. if you pay with paypal it instantly becomes the pro version (it did for me anyway). They also send you an email with the file and instructions to make it the full (pro) version in case you have to do it manually or reinstall it (after a factory reset etc).It also says it gives you free updates when they're released. It has anti shake, effects, HDR, and loads more options i haven't got a clue what they all do yet! lol. The only "problems" ive had with it is although i can take 8mp pics it doesnt like me trying to take 8mp widescreen ones, and the zoom is slightly less than the htc standard camera, these may be able to be fixed by someone with more knowledge on the camera side of things. I havent got round to posting any samples but hopefully with starting this thread other people using the app will be able to post images on here (as i am a total newbie)..There are sites that gives a brief review of it (including sample pictures of the various effects available) I am unable to post the link to the review sites (as its only my third or so post). just type "camera360" in your search engine and read up on it .Like i said it works great on my phone, give it a try.. if ya dont like it just uninstall it (you have nothing to lose after all)
I have also installed the free version of cam360 and its got a ton more options than the standard camera, I will ave to try and take some comparisons - although someone with some more advanced knowledge of cameras would be better. The annoyances with 360 is the dodgey English throughout and a quite complicated interface, still use the stock one for now, just because its faster to start up, and with the guide on xda its not too bad.
I might upgrade if I can tell there is a solid advantage over stock app.

I've tried this a few days ago but I don't like the way this app returns non-accurate colors.
Cheers from my DHD.
Camera360 is really good.
Can you guys enlighten me how bad the camera is. I thought it is clear enough.

I just tried several versions including the latest 1.3 version of Camera 360 Pro and there is NO ghost setting/effect, how or where do you get it from as it is not in the list...
Hi..the ghosting effect needs to be downloaded (free)..its an add on, i think its on the apps store.. it puts images of ghosts on the pic (they look like the girl from "the ring" series).. you really have to look to see her though, its quite good how they put it in the pic..it randomly places the image on the photo.

thanks for that mrflatout!
I have Camera360 on my DX, and the app doesn't seem to focus in either of the focal modes I choose. Anyone else have this problem? Is there another way to focus?
In manual focus mode, I'll press the button halfway for focus, like in the regular stock camera, and a message appears informing me that the shot is now in focus and to take the picture. Only, it didn't focus. When I load the stock camera, and hold halfway, I notice how it takes about a second or two to focus, and the shot is much clearer than the Camera360 app.
It's really frustrating since I paid money for this, and I like all the features, but it doesn't focus!
I must be doing something wrong.

Okay, I fixed my issue. All I needed to do was uninstall and reinstall the app. Once I did that, the camera focuses like it should.
I tried it but it keeps force closing, i think i will remove and download again. Just to try it.
Hi Everyone,
I would to share an issue with you all, I'm using LG V20-H990. I got this phone at around Nov 2016? It was working fine then until a month later...
I was taking a few photos of sceneries to test out the camera and basically fiddle around with the settings to get different effects. But at the end of the day, when I wanted to see back all the photos I took. It seems to show this weird icon of a "Gallery icon with a Triangle sign with an '!' in it at the bottom right of the gallery icon" (I'm sorry if the description isn't that great.) Somehow my pictures are gone but they are still in my gallery?
I also got myself a 64gb SD Card to try to counter the problem. But it resurfaced even so. I looked up online and found out this is a rare case and not many people face them? Some of them provided solutions to when I try them, it is to no avail. It still shows the icon.
Does anyone else faces this issue? Could it be something to do with the software? If anyone have the solution here please it would a great help as I have a lot of photos and they all mean something to me. I wouldn't want to open up my gallery and found that all of them are gone...
Thank you.
Regards,
M.AFKR
Just got the Samsung Galaxy S8+........Really like the slo-mo feature on the camera but is there not a way to shoot a full length video in slo-mo? As far as I can tell there are only two spots in the the footage you take that you can get slo-mo. What good is that? If there is not a way to remedy this, is there any other camera app I can get that will perform the way I want it to? Thanks in advance!
On the S7 by default it pretty much just put the middle of the video in slow-mo but you could go into the editor and extend it to the full length... I have not tried on here yet but give that a shot.
You can long press on one of the slomo sections and delete it. Then expand the other all the way. I was wondering g the same thing and it took me a little bit to figure it out.
Long press it is! Nowhere could I find any information on this subject. Thanks so much!
