OK ... wrote about this a few months back ... no progress for some time.
Despite a fresh ROM, several fresh ROMs, it seems that my Wizard no longer plays nice with my Jawbone Bluetooth headset. It worked great for months, then suddenly pretty much just stopped working, or only worked intermittently. I can hear just fine, but my voice doesn't get picked up by the Wizard, or it's extremely faint.
Sometimes it seems to work, for a while, after a hard reset. Two hard resets since mid-day yesterday, however, and it's still not working.
I went through the registry, hit all the AUDIOGAIN(x) nodes, upped all headset gains to 99. This initially worked, two days ago, but then stopped working. After a fresh hard reset today, I tried editing these again, to no effect.
I've turned off AGC; I've turned off the HTC Equalizer. I've also tried this with these on, and amped up to max, with no apparent difference in outcome.
The headset appears to work fine with other phones.
Can anyone offer me any insight here?

Pretty self explantory, device randomly decided to stop the sound input working 4 days ago. Signal is fine, and i can hear people talking, but they cant hear me in calls.
Upgraded the radio from 1.05 to 1.38 to no avail, running Live 0.2.
Tried the recorder function in the notes program but that does not work either.
Any ideas?

I don't think you have many choices here. Given it was random at least for a while does not suggest that there is say, a corrupted/changed registry entry.
I would suggest (backing up first) then a hard reset and test without restoring any of the backup. If it works ok then you'll have to restore selectively if possible or just slowly re-create all your installations.
However, if the problem is still there after a hard reset no additional software installed, then I think you have a hardware problem requiring repair/warranty.

Tried a hard reset but hasnt changed anything. Arse. Need to go back to the original rom, radio and bootloader then. Thatl be fun!
Cheers matey
This is so frustrating, got a Trinity about a month ago and where my previous HTC Herald & Wizard worked fine, this one keeps connecting and disconnecting from my car phone set up. I paired it in another car and used it for a while - same thing, so its the phone. I have looked through various forums and find many people have the same problem.
I called HTC and was amazed that they had never heard of the problem before. I told them that I could email them at lest 20 threads with people with this problem. For a $800+ phone I felt their response was unacceptable.
One or two have suggested Jetware, which I have tried but no change. Is there something on here I could try to alleviate this. One point of view is that it has something to do with the way the phone manages its power and drops and raises the bluetooth radio.
I am now desperate as I work from the road and each call gets disconnected 2 or 3 times on avevage. Would a ROM upgrade cure this and if so how do I do it as I havent done anything like that before. Will my phone be OK?
Any help would be very much appreciated
What rom are you using - I ask this because I had the same problem with the wm6 roms i tried but went back to wm5 and no problems since. My car kit is a portable one - Parrot mini, which worked fine with my old phone and now is trouble free with my M700.
I havent messed about with the ROM, it is still the original
I have had this problem with the original ROM, the GPS "Test" ROM and the latest WM6 ROM so that is not the solution. I find that it seems to kick in when the phone locks itself. I have the phone set to self lock after 2 hours, and on a long trip the phone will disconnect from the car's bluetooth when the autolock kicks in. The solution is to unlock the phone and things seem to work OK. The other time I have problems is when I swap between the car kit and an earpiece. If I use the car kit to work, then use the earpiece during the day, before turning it off and climbing into the car for the trip home, sometimes it won't connect with the car. This requires a soft reset.
The Jasjar I had was far worse in this regard.
how did you set up the phone not to lock within 2 hours?
Start/Settings/Personal/Lock
Check the "Prompt if device unused for" box and use the drop down box to set 2 hours.
I have never used the personal lock so I dont think this is the cause of the issue. I did read that it had something to so with the energy saving powering down.
Any other ideas?
No more ideas, but I will do a search of the forums. Perhaps there is a hack? It is certainly power related because I have never had the problem when the device is active, such as when using GPS navigation. Cheers
thanks, I would appreciate that
Hello.
I have a problem with the buzz - vibrator of my Trinity. One day it stop working, and I thought it was broken, but the past week I used by first time the WM5Storage, which vibrates when there is data reading, and it worked perfectly. First I thought it was coincidence, but I used it many times in this week and always vibrate, BUT when I receive a call, vibrator don't works.
I tried with many combinations, differents ROMs (WM6.1, WM6.5), different radios... But it worked only in a pair of random incoming calls, and when I try again, it stop working.
Trinity have 2 vibration engines? Can be a problem with configuration in a data section which don't changes when I do hardreset or I change the ROM?. What can I do? Any idea?
Thanks you very much.
PS.- Time ago I installed Touch Response and it don't worked to me with any configuration.
I have had this phone for about a year and a half now. I have been constantly battling with it to just make it work right. Now that stable windows mobile 6.5 roms are out, I thought I'd give the newest Ryan Mogul light build a try. WOW, what a difference. Best this phone has been yet. Almost all my complaints are gone except for the occasional hardlock and gps satellite lock issue.
But a new issue was created with that rom, all my bluetooth headsets (Especially my GM car) are no longer working correctly as they were in 6.1. They will pair and work for a short period of time. But after a little while, I could transfer a call to the headset and it would take 15 seconds to process the request. OR I could transfer to the headset, and it would say it transferred, but I get no sound out of the headset or the earpiece on the phone.
Turning bluetooth off and on again temporarily resolves this issue, but within a few hours, the phone is at it again.
Is there any fix for this? I have tried porting over the bluetooth dlls from 6.1 only to find my phone restarting itself in a loop (maybe I did something wrong?). I am not going back to 6.1, there are just too many things in 6.5 that just work and stay working.
Evening all!,
Wondering if anyone else is having this issue with their note 3?
(i have the EU Snapdragon 800 version - sim free)
Everytime i turn my bluetooth on, it picks up on all devices in the area and connects fine.
HOWEVER... after around 5-10 mins, even if using the relevant bluetooth device, The Note 3 just turns bluetooth off and severs the connection, forcing me to manually turn it on again....
its currently driving me batty!! as i cant use my MOGA pro pad to play any games without it just dropping half way through and when playing music through my headset or speaker, it just stops the music dead...
this is nigh on a device breaking issue for me but coudl just be me doing something stupid (spent a good long while searching forums and cant find anything).
anyone else have this? or able to fix it?
cheers all!!
OK - I have just sat down and timed it... almost at EXACTLY 15 MINS, Bluetooth turns itself off if connected to ANY device. just had music playing through a bluetooth speaker - 15 mins - speaker gives disconnect noise and BT now off on device.
with the amount of bluetooth devices i use, this is making the phone almost un-useable. gotta wait till monday before i can talk to anyone at samsung and pretty sure they wont have a clue or will just ask for the phone to be sent away...
ANYWAYS. ill keep an eye on here if ANYONE can give any pointers as to what this might be?.
cheers again and hope to hear from you all
UPDATE - tried same speaker setup again right after and bluetooth quit out after 27 mins this time so it isnt consistent every time it gives up... this is sooo frustrating....
Is it possible you have a bum BT radio in your GN3?

Ive been messing around with it today and came to actually fix the problem by mistake!.
its the old "I.T Crowd" solution ...
i turned it off, turned it on again and problem fixed!..
proper weird, though that was the first time i have turned the device off since buying so must've just been a bit twitchy.
either way, happy as Larry now!

I am having the same issues now that you described earlier. I have had this phone since the beginning of October and no issues at all until about 3 days ago when BT started shutting down constantly. I have not timed it specifically but it is in the 10 to 15 minute rnage when it forces me to turn it back on. This is driving me nuts.
I have shut it off and turned back on with no luck. powered it off, removed the battery, let sit for a while and repeat. Same issue although at times it seems to be inconsistent. I did get the new Sony SmartWatch 2 so I am constantly loosing connection and reconnecting manually with it. I have had that for 2 weeks but only started having issues a few days ago.
Any other ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
Did you try wiping cache partition?
BT switches off exactly every 3 minutes
I've tried rebooting and switching off and on again to no avail!
