Without trying to not to sound like a prick, but is the active holder, just the same holder but with a car charger, or maybe a car carger that maybe fixed to the back of the mount with a little lead you plug into the usb charging socket. By fixed i mean just to make it look neater, there is no power into or out o the holder
Hope that makes sence
John
i'm interested if it offers any GPS power plug in addition to everything else, this way it will be extremelly useful.
thanks.
The Brodit kits available are' passive ' only, as in they only hold the Exec, no inputs for chargers via the mini usb, and no one has yet built a product for a wired GPS or even a dual charging unit for Exec and GPS charging, as in the old arkon style kits. (wired GPS will not yet work via mini usb on the exec)
These are simply passive holders, where you use a cigarette lighter with usb port to mini usb to charge the device(using the supplied cable from o2 or buy an additional usb to mini usb lead)
The active holders are simply as above, but they have the cigarette lighter point to mini usb built into the cradle.........
hope that helps!
Just ordered mine... I'm trialling it for the company in my own vehicle whilst hoping our code monkeys can get our fleet / task management system working on WM 5.
Stand by for updates and photos.
Would you please post a picture of the holder.
Thanks

Hi Again,
Had a lot of enquiries, and stocks running low again, so need to know if anyone wants any so I can increase order from Supplier. They really do look and feel great, had the first few satisfied customers for this holder.
Thanks again
Are yours the modified one that now have a left speaker slot as shown on the above PocketGPS link, or do they have the speaker covered, muffled and therefore reducing in-car volume for SatNav considerably?
I was one of the first official suppliers in the UK, I got the 1st shipment a few days ago. Not heard of this as an issue on the ones installed, and certainly not in my car, but I have re-ordered additional stocks so after the posting on http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=30758 this has been rectified by brodit
Thanks, but sorry, it's not clear if the ones you now have in stock are rectified or not? :?
sorry for the confusion, as I stated, I had one of the first deliveries before this issue was noted by Brodit. My stock is exhausted of the 1st versions (no dual speaker hole) My new stock on order, due in next week has the modification.
JJ mount

US orders: www.proclipusa.com
I can ship to the USA no problem, but i suspect the cost of shipping might be expensive compared to sourcing internally. However, happy to help if you need it.
Thanks
Proclip USA does not currently have any of the Jasjar/Exec mounts in stock. Only the K-Jam ones. Probably because the Jasjar is primarily a European device. I asked them and they do have some on order and may be in later this week.
Heard from Brodit, production started last wednesday on the new stock, inc official release active holders. Availability to the UK should be some time late this week/early next. This means deliveries may take a few days more than hoped from me. Sorry.
What about Me?

Hi,
I would like to use qtek9100 as an mp3 player. I have gone through many posts to find a suitable MP3 player for qtek. So that problem is solved.
The only issue right now is that the orignal wired headset is so pathetic that it just doesnt stay in my ears. I would like to use my normal headphones to play the MP3 music from my qtek.
Is "2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter/ converter" all thats required for this. Are there any other considerations that I am not aware of ?
Please let me know.
Anup
PS. I am waiting for an official A2DP release, if at all it comes. So till then this method is quite okay for me.
the adaptor is all that's required.
The problem with an audio adapter is that there are a half-dozen proprietary setups for these connectors depending on the specific phone, so the one you buy may not work, and even if it has three bands (four-conductor) on the 2.5mm male connector it won't necessarily work. I found one on Ebay that works with my T-Mo MDA, and it's cheap at around $7 including shipping:

There are others from on-line sellers like PocketPCTechs, but they cost over twice as much (~$20 including shipping). This Ebay item seems well-made and I've been using it for about a month with my Shure E3C earbuds. This does not replace the functionality of the original cable with microphone, etc., but will allow you to listen to MP3's on your 3.5mm earphones.
I also purchased another adapter on Ebay and it works well too. It gives phone functionality like the original, although I don't use it because it is more cumbersome to carry around at the gym, where I use the MP3 player most often. It adds more cable length, which isn't needed. It is a Hong Kong dealer and I received my adapter in seven days to the U.S.

Make sure the one you order specifies the "T-Mobile Pocket PC phone." This one costs even less at $5.50 including shipping from HK. That's hard to beat.

Thanks

Hi. Thanks a lot for your response. I never knew that they had a proprietary connector setup as well. I followed your first link. The only thing that confused me is that the seller is from NJ and it will cost abt 5.69$ including shipping.
It says
Compatible Model: MDA SDA STM5600
Compatible Brand: T-Mobile MDA SDA STM5600
Condition: New
Just wanted to make sure that I am looking at the same product you are suggesting. Let me know
Thanks again

PS. I went with your first link since I am not interested in having the mic functionality. Its messy
First post here but I figured I can actually help out so I'll jump in...
First off the one from PPC techs doesn't work, I bought it and sent it back it only plays from the right side when plugged in. Tech support told me they mapped the wrong part number to the wizard and don't have a replacement. This seemed fishy but I sent my adapter back and I'm currently awaiting a refund. In the mean time I went to radio shack and bought the el cheapo adapter they sell and it works perfectly. In fact it even enables the internal microphone for use in the car if your so inclined to do so. Best of all it was $3.99 and local. Sure it's ugly, but it's temporary; I'll be getting a 6" corded version soon from a Treo 650 vendor since they seem to be the same.

TS
I bought a Qtek S200 while visiting Britain during last April. The phone worked well until recently. Now it is stuck to headphone mode. It rings, but when answered none of the parties can hear each other. Any kind of sound is directed not to the speaker but to the earphone. Unfortunately the IMEI sends me to a service called Teleservice, and I am situated in Turkey, and when called this service wasnt even sure that they were servicing Qtek. Anyway, after 2 days of inspection they tell me that there was a problem with the mainboard and since this unit was bought abroad it was out of warranty. Years ago I had a problem with my Ipaq bought again in London, and Compaq had sent DHL to pick it up at my house sent to Ireland replaced and sent back with no charge. I dont know whether Qtek has a similar worldwide warranty, but at least I should have found a place, a person whom I could communicate, not a third party service.
Should I go on using it with headphones all the time?
WHAT kind of a company is that, you cant even find a way to communicate with them.
I sympathise with you about your situation. Especially the rotten support from Qtek
Wanted to register mine on their website but was sent on a round-robin
In any case other people have had similar problem on the Atom and have resolved it by a few repeated insert and remove of the headset jack. Some say it is internal "shorting".
Good luck
I have a Wizard 8125 for sale its sim and cid unlocked if your interested let me know I do have pics I can send. Its in great shape has one small scratch above the ear piece. 250 comes with everything (box, books, cd, head set, usb cable) Ill ship it for free. if it is in GBP, it would be too expensive.
Hi all,
I've finally decided to sell my hermes - I've had a diamond for 3 months now but never got around to putting my tytn up for sale.
I won't bother you all with the specs as I'm pretty sure you know them.
It's orange branded (M3100) but unlocked and has hardspl.
It's currently running this WM6.1 ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428597
Which I installed as it will look more impressive with touchflo when I put it on ebay if it doesn't sell on here.
If anyone wants it with a different rom but doesn't fancy flashing it, just link me to the rom and I'll put it on there. Same goes for any software you want on it - let me know and I'll set it up (tomtom etc..?)
I'll also throw in my bluetooth GPS receiver (a QSTARZ BT-Q800 which is pretty old but gets a fix in under 30 seconds and never loses signal). I don't have any manuals or cables for the GPS receiver but it charges through the same miniusb cable as the tytn.
The tytn is in good condition. I'll add some photos below. There are a couple of scratches on the silver part at the top (next to the front camera).
Not a lot to say really, it's always worked flawlessley for me. I've flashed a few roms on it in the past without any problems.
It will come in its original box with a wall charger, usb cable, spare stylus, manuals (not that they're any use as they're for the orange branded WM5).
I'd prefer a local pickup (so the buyer can see the phone first) from Essex in the UK if possible, but I imagine shipping to anywhere in the UK won't be more than £10 recorded.
I'm looking for around £100 for the lot. I'd prefer cash on collection but paypal is ok if I'm going to post it.
If you want to make an offer, please either post here or pm me.
Thanks!
would you ship to usa?
