I had one of those annoying dead pixels thingy on my screen. It was stuck in white and when I was watching movies it really annoyed me. And I found a way to fix this.
I was curious what does Self-Diagnostic mode does so I entered it. Believe it or not while testing the screen this tool displayed red green blue screens (this is the way of fixing this in Desktop PC) and my stuck pixel is now free.
To enter self-diagnostic mode press reset while holding Power and Record Buttons.
Bye.

Hi friends..
I have a very strange problem which cropped up yesterday night, we guys had gone for a movie and my phone was in my pocket only, then coming back it started to rain and i still didn't take it out, but after i took it out in room i saw suddenly the screen going blank and so many white and blue lines started coming and it started flickering very badly! finally the display got mirror inverted! it still responds to touches at the right places but the display which i get is upside down and mirrored so can't read a thing!
i think some how a water droplet had gone inside and did something, i took out the battery and dried it under the fan too but still no change, now when i keep it on stand by and resume by short pressing power button for a second the proper screen comes and then it inverts again! please help me out if you've encountered such situation before..
i know we can turn the display upside down but this one is mirrored too, and it all happened after the screen flicker..
hav tried hard resetting ur mobile
Some Sony Ericsson mobiles had a similar problem, only way to repair it was display replacement.
How to Hard Reset?
hi friends, i read on another forums too that hardresetting is one way, so i turned the phone off
removed the battery for 5-10 seconds
replaced the battery
pressed the green and red buttons which are on the left and right of d pad
together i pressed the reset button which is to right of the usb socket,
and nothing happened! i kept pressing it for 10 seconds, and no screen popped up, when i removed the buttons it just restarted, without any screen showing that a hard reset has been desired and no change had happened..
Am i hard resetting it the right way?
ur mobile shouldnt be off while doing the above steps. After doing tat ur mobile will restart showing an warning press the action key and continue.

Click to collapse
Device must be off. Hold red button, green button and reset. If it doesn't work, press Power. After a while white letters on black screen should appear, then press d-pad and wait about 5 minutes. You'll see a new message for a moment and Windows Mobile will start.
No change after hard reset
hi friends, i got a video on youtube demonstrating me how to do a hard reset, i did it and got the warning message too and it got reset, restoring the original settings. Still the screen remains it's own inverted self!
Any suggestions what can i do next? what can actually the problem be?
i'm taking it for service centre tomorrow. Wish me luck any ways
So randomly, my screen stopped working. I cannot figure out what caused it.
it was fine earlier in the day, then i left my phone completely alone for a few hours, and come back to it to find the screen not working.
When i wake the screen, there is a little bar of light that flashes on the screen, it is maybe 3mm wide, and extends the width of the screen, it flashes, then disappears, and my screen remains pitch black.
is this hardware related?
the only thing I can think of software wise is that my phone is rooted, has exposed module installed, and I am running wanam and gravity box
removing the battery and putting it back in does not replace the issue. as soon as the screen awakes and tries to show anything, the orange bar flashes and disappears.
Start by seeing if you can boot to download or recovery mode. This will bypass most software related issues.
Remove your phone battery for ten seconds. Then press and continue holding keys in this order, volume down, home and lastly the power key. After about five seconds the phone should boot to the Download screen and display some system information.
If so, then try clearing your cache from recovery mode, booting to safe mode or flashing a 100% stock firmware from download mode to recover. If you can't boot to download, recovery or safe mode then it would appear that you have a hardware problem.

Hi all
I just get the white light and blank screen (no logo, no bootup screen, nothing) on during my tablet boot up. I have tried everything (Power + up button, plug and unplug the power with hold on the up bottom etc) I still can't to get into recovery (factory) mode.
Every time, white light just on and off late. I have also tried to put aside the tablet for few weeks to use up all the battery and restart. Same happen.
Any suggestion I can get in the recovery mode ?
Thanks to all for your answers!!!!! :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Hello
From few day's my HTC Evo 10 does not shows up when pressing power button or with finger scanner, its lights shows it turn on but screen remain blank and black, nothing appear, no matter how many times you press the power button, some one made a video in youtube, when I search but couldn't find the solution,
does anyone here knows anything about it?
I tried to enter recovery mode on my S7 Edge, using the power and volume up buttons, but the phone would restart and crash, repeated a few times.
Now my phone has a light blue indicator and a black screen, Google says that a light blue indicator means a failing motherboard.
The phone is currently unplugged, and still in the same state. (I have already tried to turn off the phone by holding the volume down and power buttons).
Someone help please, it's the phone's 2nd motherboard, and the guy who replaced it the first time said it would be difficult to get another.
I imagine this could be caused by a broken or loose connector. Also the guy could have put in a heavily used board that was already close to failing. Try connecting it to your computer and check what it shows up as. Was the phone ever water damaged by any chance?
