People on the other end are hearing a buzzing - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

This has happened to me with several 8525's now...hass anyone else had this problem, better yet, figured out how to stop it!
I can hear a VERY faint buzz, and this is how i know that it's happening, but the user on the other end is hearing very loud buzz during call. It's not constant, sometimes it will come and go. but i had to replace a previous hermes because it got so bad. My newest one is now just starting to do it more consistently and this needs to either be fixed or replaced. PLEASE HELP!! THanks,

Annoying busy tone

Ok, had my phone ages now, but recently noticed a problem
Whenever I call someone, and get a busy tone. The tone comes through my phone speaker, really loud (Enough to hurt my ears)
This is sooooo annoying, does anyone else get this? and does anyone know how to fix it??
Nearly dropped the phone to cradle my ear the first time it happened.
I get that as well :-(
I investigated both using the forum search and google, but had no luck.
very annoying indeed! i did some search too but nothing... anybody?

speakerphone cracking when in a call

Hi,
I just got a td2 and straightaway thought that the speakerphone sounded abit crackly. After showing a couple of friends and seeing what they thought they both said the crackling was abit weird but maybe the phone was just like that but im not entirely sure.
Does anyone else have any trouble with there speakerphone? When the volume is completly low it sounds fine, putting it up even abit causes there to be a small crackle when someone speaks (signal is fine and ive tried with a few of my friends).
I've got a 14 day return policy with this company i have gotten my contract from and its been 3 days now and i should be able to get a replacement but i dont want to send it off and them to say this is how its supposed to be. So is this a known cause or is there something that can be fixed or did i just get a bad td2?
Thanks
I have had it with my Touch 3G, before making a call i blowed in the speaker and it was gone.
My HTC Touch Diamond2 does not have that problem.
i had a very similar problem. the speaker worked fine, but when the voice hit a certain pitch level it would distort slightly, like it was picking up a vibration.
I sent it back and got a replacement, and the new one is fine.
Right thanks to both of u, ive tried the blowing thing already and tried again but no luck.
I think the problem is exactly the same as the u described adamrob69 but I just didn't explain it very well lol, so i've sent them an email and will ring on monday and get it exchanged, how lucky must i be to get sent a faulty one .
Thanks
dont worry, it seems at the minute theres a 50-50% of getting a duff phone. The build quality is slipping on these phones.
Im still not enitrely happy with the quality of my second one, but whilst everything still works on it im not going to go through the hassle of changing again!
I have same problem but with speaker at side, when phone rings the sound cracks.

[Q] Nobody can hear me... AGAIN!!!

I had purchased a surround on launch day and within a few days every now and then nobody could hear me. I thought it was a fluke or sim issue but have since ruled this out. Has anyone else had this issue. I also had it replaced and about the same amount of time. About a week or so and now its almost every phone call unless I reboot, which allows it to work a few times before coming back, so I know its not hardware. Should I switch to another device, eg: the lg quantum, or is there a fix Im not aware of?? I love the surround but I have missed some really important phone calls because of this. I will also note my buddy had her surround replaced for same exact reason and she bought hers at a different store all together.
What?
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
I am going to lean towards a bad manufacture batch. I've had my surround since launch and haven't experienced this issue at all.
When you had it replaced, did you do it at the store you bought it from? Try having ATT ship you a new one. This would pretty much ensure that it's not from the same batch.

i did have it shipped for the replacement and still a no go. I rebooted yesterday and have not had the problem again yet but it is getting truly annoying. Hopefully its just something that goes away as I love my surround
I had this issue once, after about 3 weeks with the phone. Re-booted, and it's been good since (another couple weeks).
Hopefully an isolated incident.
I think I am having the same problem.
It started a couple of days ago.
This is what I am experiencing:
When I make a call, the other side cannot hear me, but I can hear them. Most of the time when I terminate the call, and redial, it works; they can hear me. Some times it takes more than one redial to get it working.
Today I made a discovery; during a call, when they cannot hear me, I plug-in the earphones and voila: they can hear me. The funny thing is that even if I unplug the headphones, the microphones work.
Has anybody else tried this?

Nobody??????
I've had this happen once or twice. It took a complete reboot for the mic to start working again each time. I checked with a decibel meter app and it reported -1dB from the mic while I was having the problem.
I've had that phone replaced since then and I haven't had that on this new one.
I've experienced this problem twice. For both times, battery went critical low while I was calling. And I was not able to get microphone working again until I reset the phone.
I'm not sure if the "battery is critical low" causes this problem.
I've had the same issues with my Surround a couple of times, a reboot always corrects it. My brother just got a Surround last week, and has already had it happen once, a reboot fixed his too. It's funny, he upgraded from the Tilt 2 because of the same issues on that phone, using Android was the only thing I could find to fix the issue on the Tilt 2.
i have the same problem! i try install 2 diferent roms and nothing

Steady high pitch on call from ear speaker?

As the Title says, I'm getting this. I've tried both Modems on the VZW version, both are getting this. I spend so little time on the phone, I just noticed this a week or so ago, tried the new modem and still am getting it.
There is a form post on AndroidCentral that multiple people are experiencing the same thing.

Anyone have any feedback or experience here?

I've also noticed that this is not relegated to just being on a call. It's ALL the time. Screen off, I put the phone to my ear, wifi on or off, off a call, and I still hear the sound. I really think it's less the earpiece and more right below it behind the screen. I have pretty sensitive hearing, and this isn't my imagination playing tricks on me.
During a call, it does get so loud that I have to pull the phone away from my ear.
Return.

Incoming calls - buzzing sound [video inside]

Hi,
I'm loving my OnePlus 5, but there is a strange behaviour with incoming calls. When the phone is ringing and vibrating, sometimes a really bad buzzing sound occurs every few seconds.
It doesn't happen with every call and I have absolutely no idea what's triggering it. I've thought about the vibration motor, but then it shouldn't only make that sound for some calls.
Anyone else with this issue?
Ok, I've done some tests and can easily reproduce the issue:
It happens when vibration is set to strong, like it is set default for calls, and the phone is lying somewhere. As soon as i touch the phone a little bit or take it in the hand, the sound stops. It cames definitely from the top (right?) of the phone.
It would be nice, if anyone could check if their phone makes the same noises. Either call your phone or simply go to vibrations settings.
I've made a video of the vibration sound on strong settings. Would anyone please be so kind to check it on his/her device? You can hear the strange noise pretty well.
OnePlus support told me it was normal.

Just tried on mine, doesn't have the issue, the support is clearly ****ing with you. If i had this issue, I would just get nuts

Thanks for your reply. I've set vibration to medium as a workaround. It would have been hard to believe every device is doing this ugly noise, especially since you hear it with standard settings for incoming calls.
Nevertheless I'd appreciate any further feedback wether his/ her device is affected or not.
Bro, I'd like to know if this issue got fixed for you? I am commenting because I started noticing this too.

I had to RMA the phone. Unfortunately it's the only solution.
I have 2 days left before my 10-day-replacement policy is over. You're saying, your replacement device doesn't have the issue?
