Storage card is write protected

Hi all,
Wondering if you can help me pls.
I have a D810 and when trying to add music from my SD card to the WMP library but when I do it hangs for ages then comes back with error of "the library on the storage card is write protected, please turn off the portect and try again" or something close to that.
Does anyone have any ideas?
The music was copied from my pc to to storage via the USB cable.
They are legitimate CD's that I own too.

dear, pls make sure you don't turn on encryption on Setting/System...
So, secondly, you ever try to format this card and so then??? (pls back-up data on this card before)

sd card reading/writing problem...

Hi guys,
i got problem with writing on my card...when i transfer directy on my card hapens that i cant open or use files, i have tryed to transfer directly on phone memory and i dont have that problem...files are working good...
anyone got solution?

Q: Is this affecting every file transferred to the SD card, or just some?
Also, have you still got your phone connected to the PC? Your HD can't read the SD card while the phone is plugged into the USB port. (not sure about bluetooth, since i don't use it) If you open the file manager you will see that the storage device disappears when the phone is plugged into the computer.

well i think i fix it man...format few times my card... with win xp , i have put 1 of new roms and problem solved for now,
otherwise i wass geting problems with diferent kind of files...pictures, mp3s...zip files, w/e and they exist on card but after i try to open, says corupted...

I got same problem.
Moreover, I can't see the µSD card when I plug it into PC !
How do we format the card with PPC ?

Edit : solution found : downloaded st.ppc420.arm.cab (storage tool), and suceeded formating my SD card !
Now everything works again : I can use my HD like a USB key again.

well, i use card reader...and on right click u can do that, i hope your card is not dead

well i tho i solved this problem...till now ocurs again, onestly dont know whats the problem...now i got 6.5 mobile, basicly im geting this problem when i try to transfer large files and large zip files like up to 100meg.
anyone got this problem and solved?

no im doing that propertly...removing my HD from USB then im trying to acces filez and i cant...if there is zip file...i see nothing into that folder ( even i see that is proper megabites) or if that is picture...my album says that cant read file ((

I connect HD2(Android) to PC by USB mass storge mode,copy some files to HD2,but after Unpluging HD2,I can't see these files on HD2,Why and how to solve it?

A couple of questions for you mate...
What kind of files did you copy?
How are you trying to find them afterwards?

-it is a known issue for some android builds files being corrupted or "missing" after you transfer them through usb transfer....so, much better to transfer files in winmo or using a card reader.

MAGLDR Mass Storage Not Working

Hi all, does anyone have an issue with Windows 7 X64 and the Mass Storage option in MAGLDR? Basically the device either comes up as unknown or the driver doesn't install
Any ideas?

Did you install ANDROID drivers or HTC Sync 3.0?
If neither, then I recommend you install Android USB drivers.

If you don't feel like installing the whole Android SDK? Someone already just zipped the drivers and posted somewhere in the internet.

I found ADB usb drivers link somewhere here and installed and it worked for me.
I'm with Vista 32 bit though, so i'm not sure about Win7.
HTC Sync also works for me. Give it a try.

I had this issue. I believe it's related to the type of SD card used. I swapped out my 32GB Play.com SD card for a 4gb one and it worked fine.

[Q] Cannot copy files from PC to Internal or Removable memory

I was previously able to copy files from my pc through USB to the transformer to both the removable and internal memory; however, this week I get a "Cannot copy file; device has stopped responding or is disconnected". I can still browse the files that are there and even delete them, but I cannot copy to either memory area.
I see in XDA and google searched that this error is usually fixed by formatting the drive, but with internal storage?? I dont want to wipe the memory, but I would like to transfer files this way.
I can connect external hard drive through the keyboard dock and transfer files. just not through the provided cable and the PC. I have uninstalled the drivers and rebooted the pc and reinstalled with no luck.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Btw. I have updated to 3.1 but I had this problem on 3.0
No one else had things problem?
Could it be the cheap ass cable??

if i had to guess, i'd just say the cable is bad, or you need to remove and reinstall MTP drivers.

I also have this problem, tried restarting the pad, doesn't work....
If anyone knows how to fix this it'll be greatly appreciated!

Most likely a windows driver issue, try connecting it to a different PC (to narrow down the problem: if it works on a different PC, then we know its a driver issue, if it doesn't then we know the problem is with the Tablet or the cable).
