Search Iphone Bootscreen - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

HI,
I search the Iphone bootscreen for my WM6 HTc touch. Can you help me please
How can i delete the vodoafon branding?
Thx

Since i think it's not allowed to give you the iPhone fish screen im not gonna give it to you.
But you can make your bootscreen to your wishes by using a tool called Total Commander.
The only thing what you need to is open Total commander, Go to your windows folder and find Welcomehead.96.png. Cut that to your storage card and grab one of your own pictures and convert it to a PNG file. Call the file welcomehead.96.png and paste that in your windows folder.
Here you go.

Do I simply back up my other GIFs and BMPs and overwrite them with these ones?
What about the .ini file?
Sorry, now I've read the ReadMe file
But I tried to copy out my old files and can only see the bmp files in Explorer on my PC. If I ask for the folder properties, the PC knows the gifs are in there but just won't show them. Any ideas?

That's no problem, yuou need photoshop or fireworks to view gif files. Maybe paint will view them also, i don't know
davehutch, yes in order to backup your existing dialler files you just need to copy the files in your PPC "windows" folder to a desktop folder. If you don't see all the files on desktop, go in Tools -> Folder Options and make sure that "Hide Protected Operating System Files" is not ticked.
I made a backup of the files and was able to restore backto default skin by just copying the files back.
Kept the intelidialler skin though ;-) I liked that, much neater than the default.

total commander

accidentally renamed the folder that i believe was under the activesync folder in total commander. Its the one that has the lnk files, now i cant use any off the apps that are in there cuz it messes up the shortcut.. long story short can some one look in their phone and let me know what the name of the folder is...
Mine is AppButtons.
yep that was the one, all is back to normal... thank you
thanx in advance

You transfer the file to the internalstorage and then use resco explorer or total commander to overwrite the original file. You can't overwrite systemfiles via ActiveSync (XP) or Mobile Device Center (Vista).
why double thread? is't the forum cluttered enough?

Use File explorer extension, total ommander or resco explorer
1- rename the original file to BAK or whatever you remember
2-copy the new file into \windows\
There are 3 bootsreens
SEMC***.GIF isthe startup animation
welcomehead.192.png is the green Windows screen
As an explmple, I copied I my own welcomehead.192.NEW.png to \windows\ renamed the original file to welcomehead.192.BAK.png and then renamed welcomehead.192.NEW.png to welcomehead.192.png
Reset and changes wll apply
Thanx for your answer. i got the SEMC2904.bmp changed with the one i drawed. i hang it on my post if somebody wants it too.
*EDIT* okay i overwrote the old image but my new one does not appear ?!

A thumbnail would be fine
You can upload a thumb to tinypic.com or else
Thanks for sharing
Here's the Thumbnail.
But do you have a tip for me? i copied the screen to my windows folder. i'm getting asked if i want to overwrite it. i agree, but if i reboot my x1 i don't see my new screen
Check
It appears that (like desktop Windows) the Xperia performs a check on boot of the file details. If the file is deemed "corrupted" it is replaced by the original from an unknown location.
Since you file quite likely does not match a hash check, or possibly is saved in the wrong format, it gets replaced.
I had this problem and as of yet have been unable to make an image that the device will accept.
yeah must be some kind like this but i want to have my own startupscreen!!

Making a theme?

So I'm new to all of this. I bought a touch diamond with Sprint just last week and stumbled upon this site for themes and apps. It seems to be a very cool site for customization, but i've been wondering where should i start if i want to make my own themes? I got CFC and Manila editor. Are there tutorials or manuals on using those programs? And is there a way to extract the preinstalled theme that came with my phone so i can modify it? Thanks for any help.

To extract your phone's TF3D files
To extract your phone's TF3D theme, connect it to your computer using Activesync (XP) or WMDC (Vista) and click on "Explore Files". While exploring your devices files, navigate to the Windows folder of your cell phone then sort the files by type. Look for a collection of files that end in "manila" (there should be ALOT). Copy EVERY file that ends with .manila from your device to a folder on your computer (give it a couple minute as there are many files to copy).
To copy manila files to a manila editor
Using either Manila Editor of CFC GUI (i personally think CFC GUI is much easier to use because it gives me less errors), click on "File" and "Select Folder" to navigate to the folder where you copied the manila files on your computer. Select the folder and the files will be loaded into the program
To make your own theme
Once you have copied the manila files and loaded them into either Manila Editor or CFC GUI, the next step is to replace some of the icons with the ones you want for your theme. In CFC GUI (I havent used Manila Editor and dont remember the buttons for this so I cant instruct how to use it), click on any of the files and you will get a preview of it. If you would like to SAVE that icon in a png format to edit (with Photoshop/Gimp etc.) click on "SAVE AS" and choose the directory in which you would like to save it. To replace a manila file with your own, click on the file then select "REPLACE WITH" and choose your file (NOTE: The file you choose absolutely MUST be the same size as the original. If the original file is 128x128, the file you replace it with must also be 128x128).
Thanks jrodi. Im thinkin of making one myself too. But I wasnt sure if the icon size has to be the same as original.

There are multiple ways to install a theme to your device but ill go through the easiest and quickest method using Total Commander
1) Copy the manila files that you changed to a new folder on your phone (Give this folder the name of your theme). Turn off the TF3D plugin (Settings/Today/Items/ Uncheck Tf3d). Then use Total Commander to find the new folder and copy all of the files in the folder to the Windows directoty of your device. If you get a prompt, select "Overwrite All" and give it a minute to replace the files. Soft reset your device and youre done
I was just looking through the windows folder of my diamond but there are no files ending in manila, is it because its the sprint version or something?
