I got a new MDA but I dropped it in the toilet. It wasnt submerged, I was lucky if did a belly flop. After that the touch screen stopped working. I also have another one that is about trashed with somewhat the same problem it only works when the slide is closed. The one that got wet was only used for 2 weeks and I was wondering if it woud be worth anything ?

Hi all, I am really really hoping that someone here can help me. I dropped my HD2 today and the screen just shattered. I rang HTC but since the phone has not been launched here in Australia they can not help me. I need to get a new screen but have no idea where from. Can anyone please help me on where to get a replacement screen. I was shocked at how the screen shattered, But I guess thats what happens with glass..lol..Thank in advance for any help
This is the drawback with glass screens, you get much better resistance to scratches but it becomes much more liable to shattering or cracking when dropped. A work colleague has had this happen to two separate iPhones.
As for your issue I can't really help, I doubt anyone else can either - given how new the phone is it's unlikely there is any means of getting the screen replaced outside of HTC doing the job even if you lived in a country where it's been released. However, I will suggest the first thing you do when and if you get it replaced is buy some sort of cover, this will reduce the chances of a screen shatter on being dropped dramatically. Here is the one I have purchased, it should be arriving today.

Thanks mate, I have a cover and screen protector on it's way which I ordered on the weekend..bummer it's too late eh..lol..if all else fails I will buy another one and claim it on insurance if I can and either keep the old one for a spare or try and sell it for parts..it still works perfect just has a shattered screen .but thanks for your input mate, I appreciate it
I noticed that they still work too, both my colleague's iPhones (he dropped and broke both in work in the space of a few months) still had fully functioning touchscreens despite the glass being completely shattered.
Yeah it's funny how they still work fine. My old Samsung HD bounced about 3 times and went for a skid..lol..Just found out that I can claim it on my House insurance which will get me a new one..This time I will have a cover ready for it
HD2 dropped from the pocket ...
I've just recently had that happen to me. After seeing it happen to my brothers 3 day old HD2 you'd think me having had mine for nearly 5 months would be fine. His insurance covered it and they sent a new one out next day. Mine want to interview me before making a decision.
I am starting to think the screens are very easily broken.
Phones simply aren't meant to be dropped... and yes, glass is fragile, whatever you do.
Hello ppl, i broke my lcd screen on my xperia...
i had the phone in the kit bag whilst playing cricket and out of all the places the ball rolled and hit the pocket my phone was in!!! I ran knowing the screen will be peices and it was. The screen is still functioning, im able to view the screen and it is responsive to touch. Its turned out like an iphone with a broken screen if anybodys seen one the outer glass is cracked.
I brought the phone from ebay sim-free, i just want to know if anybody knows where to purchase a replacement screen?
I've searched on ebay but no luck
**** :-/ So Sorry
I can't help, I googled but could not find a replacement screen for X10
Mobile dealers can help i think... GOOD LUCK anyway
dealextreme.com search sony x10, there is a case replacement
May this one work?
It´s only the housing, not the screen.
There's a recently closed listing for an X10 digitizer (white) on ebay. Suggest you keep searching, and grab one as soon as you get the chance.

Thought of buying a new one in the next phew months. There is just nothing good out there
Around December I bought a refurbished Transformer TF300 from Newegg. A couple weeks ago the glass got a crack in it. I didn't drop it or anything like that, but I was traveling and when I got it out of my bag it had a crack on the screen. Shortly after, within the same day, more cracks appeared. I would like to attempt to repair the screen myself. What I am concerned about is, though, is that the tablet won't respond to touch at all. Back when I had an iPhone (don't hate, it was a long time ago) the glass cracked, but it was still responsive as ever. If I replace the glass will it regain touch function, or is that another problem? Also, I have been led to believe that there are multiple versions of the glass to buy; how do I know with one to get? Also, any general tips or guides for doing this would be helpful.

You will find there some informations regarding LCD/touch replacement.
If you have only Touchscreen damaged then after opening you may see what version of TS you have. It should be on connector tape or on sticker. Then you may seek if any of ebay sellers have it.

Buying one on ebay would be pretty easy once you determine the type
I would suggest this guide to help replace it tho: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Disassembling+Asus+tf300+Tablet/11794/1
Some of series of TF300 was bad-manufactured and have screen qualty problems
