I have a problem with one reg tweak. When I go to read a text message I have to scroll up, all the messages are at bottom of screen. Anyone have any ideas what this can be?
The tweak I did was a cab file called"yarT" by "Ax3L" from this site. All other tweaks work great..anyone help on this other than doing a hard reset...TJ

I have a strange behaviour of my P3600.
I tried some tricks, using either Total Commander or PHM regedit, for instance to display both time and date on the upper right corner.
I make the changes but after doing a soft reset (button at the bottom near usb & IR), nothing happens...
and actually when I check the registry, my modifications just disappeared !?
does anybody experiments the same problem? any solution?
thx for any help
I've experienced this once after editing registry with Resco Reg Editor. After several times of trying, I realised I had to exit out of the application, i.e. shut it down completely not just minimising it, before the new settings are saved.
Again, thats with Resco, not sure about other reg edit apps, may have a similar issue, you never know.
Hope that helps.
Great it seems to work !
thanks a lot
It happens with TyTn too.

It happens with TyTn too. So it's kind of how the RegEdit programs write the Registry when exiting. I was surprised at first, but noticed you have to try several times.....
Buggy but it works.
I was wondering (even after much searching) if there is a "program" to edit the registry settings for the TouchFLO app on the wizard? For instance, say i wanted to change what text is displayed or what program the touch "buttons" point to. eh? eh? the registry hacks are just so time consuming. it would be cool if someone wrote a little text program to change them. maybe to make it easier? who else is with me?
Hello,
I suddently got a "0" in my notifications list. I'm pretty sure that I didn't install anything for the last month.
Any idea how I can remove that? I've tried a search in the registery but no luck.
Is there also a possibility to add extra notifications?
thanks in advance
i think its because you changed something in the registry, since there's no way to know that, a hard reset should solve the problem. if you can't live with that "0"
nope, I haven't touched the registery. All I wanted is a way to avoid the hard reset... it isn't a real problem but it does look ugly when I'm in that menu.
still i believe its the registry, maybe a program you installed changed that menu, anyways try a search for registry hacks on how to modify sounds and notifications menu aiming to delete the "0" option
problem solved, found the registry key in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Default\Options\{A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
I was working on attempting to hack my HTC Touch Pro 2 to activate a vibrating notification for Skype messages. When I was making a registry modification in the Notification section I accidently renamed a key and am not sure what it was. The key started was a GUID starting with F and appears to be related to Manila's E-mail notifications. (I no longer recieve notifications about new e-mails and when I have new e-mails my device periodically generates an error report. Presumably the device is failing trying to find the notification record.)
From what I could gather, these keys should be uniform across devices so I'm wondering if someone else with an HTC Touch Pro 2 (preferably from verizon) could give me a listing of their registry keys in HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications. I originally had two, I still have the F55615D6... one. Thanks in advance for any help people can give.
Try this: copy user.hv from your windows folder to a PC. Open it with ceregeditor, and find the original value. Then just add it back to the registry
Thanks for that input. It looks like the key I accidently renamed is not a system key after all. Must have been something else I installed and I'm having Manila crash for some other reason. I can probably figure it out myself if I go looking, but is there an easy way to grab the crash logs from the device. Trying to view them on the device screen is a little bit difficult to get a clear picture (4 characters at a time for a memory dump isn't fun).
Edit: A little more follow up. I found the missing registry key. After looking around ceregeditor a bit, I decided to give the registry a search for one of the existing keys and low and behold, there is another set of keys in the HKCU\Software\HTC\NotificationManager path. It had the missing GUID. Thanks again.
