Activate different BT headsets by cmd line (is this possible?) - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Hello community,
I have following question: Is there a tool, which I can use to activate a paired headset by command line switch (so I can set a .lnk to it and activate by tools like AE or "User Menu"?
Following background: I have three paired headsets (all with headsets and two of them with A2DP profile) (1. car, 2. my HT820 headset and a 3. BT speaker set for "public" listening). When I need to activate one of them I need to go into the BT tool, chose a headset, and activate it as BT headset to listen to music.
Well this is annoying. I want to do this by invoking i.e. Mortscript, which activates the headset as A2DP and start my player (or just by pressing any iconized .lnk to activate one of them)
Any chance or idea how to do that?
Thanks to all
Dejan

voice command activation by headset talk button

Hello, Anybody succeded in activating voice command by pushing on the standard talk button of the QTEK headset? i understand there is a solution for bluetooth devices, but i tried with the standard headset and apparently it doesn't work...i am using the fantastic 2.8 ROM....
i am also intresseted to do that.
Did anyone found a solution?
It seems that the standard "Talk" button on Qtek's headset is only good for picking up incomming calls. It is not similar to voice button on the device. I've desperatly searched for registry keys to change that.
Did anyone have any luck?
Thanks,
Rostylsav
This didn't work for me, but it's easy to roll back. Pasted from Howard Forum.

First:
goto "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path". Change the default value from "\Windows\SDDialer.exe" to "\Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe".
Now you should be able to activate Micrsoft Voice Command by pressing the connect button on your bluetooth headset. My Scala headset beeps twice when it's ready for the Voice Command. My husbands Motorola headset beeps once when it's ready for the Voice Command.
Then you can also enable your bluetooth headset to receive music and other sound from your MDA by running the tweak "Enable Bluetooth Receive" using the Registry Wizard Program.
@glee719: This paste you did is about using Bluetooth headset for voice-dial.
The question is about the standard headset that goes with the Wizard . . . .
afaik the push-button on the headset works similar to the 'hook' buttons (green & red). Those do not trigger voicecommand either . . . .

Click to collapse
Sorry to tell, it is not working for me, if i create a shortcut with "\Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe", and click on it, the voice command will lunch, however, putting the path in the reg, soft reset, press on buletooth handset doesn't work, any idea ?
By the way, how can we Set the microphone gain on the Wizard ? and how can we set the voice command to talk more and more louder ???
Yeah i'm interested to know how to make full use of the given headset, as i use it to listen to mp3 alot. The 'talk' button looks useless other than answering calls, unlike the w800i headset.
@rookery, this is NOT about the BT headset to activate VoiceCommand
Oh Sorry, did you mean the 2.5mm handfree, I don't have it in hand, does it work by the changing the reg key ???
hi to All,
useless to say i already tried the registry change for BT, and it didn't work for the STANDARD headset that is connected through the 2.5 mm jack. maybe, it is simply not possible.....
Is there a key for Talk button in the registry?
Does anyone know if there is a key for "Talk" button function in the registry?
We know there is one for BT headsets, but what about the conventional headset which comes with the device?
Anyone figure this out yet????????
Thanks

Wireless Stereo profile (A2DP) with JABRA BT500: Possible???

I've seen many posts about Bluetooth Stereo Headsets showing a Wireless Stereo profile when using A2DP implementation.
But I have a Jabra BT500 mono headset. Is it possible to make it be recognized as a stereo headset, when A2DP is applied?
I used the tweaks described on "A2DP support for 818pro" topic, but the extra option described (Wireless Stereo) doesn't show. I keep getting only the "Hands Free" option.
BTW, I'm using Qtek S200 updated with latest Dopod 818 Pro ROM (contains AKU2 and A2DP).
Enabling A2DP in your ROM will allow the device to connect to A2DP enabled devices in Wireless Stereo mode. When you make a bluetooth connection to a device the phone will query that device to find out what services it offers, then it will report back the ones that it understands and give you the option to connect to them. Since you BT500 is mono it would be pointless for it to have a wireless stereo service stored in its firmware, and why you would want to try connect to it in stereo mode is a bit confusing. If you're trying to use your headset as a mono ear plug for listening to music there is one thing you can do. Get voice command installed, edit the registry to get voice command running when you press the button on your headset (not sure if your S200 supports voice dial but if it does then you should be able to do this), then when you press the B500's button voice command will run and the bluetooth connection to the headset will stay active until you press the button again.

Mp3 thru h700 bluetooth ??

I saw this on your website, is it for the cingular 8125 ?
I have a H700 bluetooth, will I be able to swith back and forth with the H700 when I want to use it for phone calls and then use it for MP3"s, when I want to hear music ? I know that I will only hear mono but that is ok with me.
How do I find the registry editor make this change ?
Thanks,
MJR
How can I use my Bluetooth headset as Wired headset?
Unfortunately you can not use Bluetooth Voice Dialing and Audio Gateway features of your Wizard simultaneously You have to choose either Voice Dialing or Audio Gateway!
Example for Audio Gateway (playing files with Windows Media Player over Bluetooth):
1) Turn off your Bluetooth and Bluetooth Headset. Close Windows Media Player
2) Using registry editor make this change:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand]
"Path"="\Windows\wmplayer.exe"
3) Turn on your Bluetooth and Bluetooth Headset
4) Press your Bluetooth Headset's Button to launch Windows Media Player
5) Start playing your files. The sound shall be played at your Bluetooth Headset
6) After quitting from Windows Media Player you will need to open and close "Start->Settings->Voice Speed Dial" application
Note: If you got call during Playback you will need to open and close "Start->Settings->Voice Speed Dial" application before resuming your playback in Windows Media Player
Example for Voice Dialing (default setting of Wizard):
1) Turn off your Bluetooth and Bluetooth Headset
2) Using registry editor make this change:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand]
"Path"="\Windows\SDDialer.exe"
3) Turn on your Bluetooth and Bluetooth Headset
4) Press your Bluetooth Headset's Button to launch Voice Dialing application
Jabra 250V and Cingular8125 for MP3 playback?
hi thanks for the info but does it work?
a little confused so if you use the bluetooth headset for mp3s, i understand that you can't use it for voicedialing, but how about to just answer an incoming telephone call or to simply use it for a normal tele conversation after you have setup the MP3 bluetooth connection
Thanks,
Shaaron
PS the listen information should work because an HTC wizard = 8125
how do i use the registry editor in total commander?
this isnt working for me

Stereo Bluetooth Headset Issue with Qtek 9000(HTC Universal)

Hello everybody,
I just would like to hear some (technical) comments regarding making stereo bluetooth headset usage more convenient with a device like the HTC Universal.
My current situation is as follows:
The stereo bluetooth headset that I am using is http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_spec.asp?cid=2&pid=02040
The inconvenient problem I am encountering is the cumbersome method of going into "wireless-stereo/hands-free/headset" mode immediately after switching ON my headset.
The pairing between the device and the headset was not an issue, however one would think that once paired - there would be no need to go into the "Partnership Settings" again, and again, and again, etc...
So assuming that the Universal device has Bluetooth ALWAYS active, I switch ON my headset and the only think that works is the Multi-Function-Button on the headset that triggers the voice dialer / voice commander. Once the phone dialer is running I conveniently go into hands-free mode. This is fine and all, but quite useless when I am not using the phone dialer.
I mean, after switching ON the headset, and then I start to play an audio file - the headset should be the point of audio output, not Universal's speakers. This does not happen after switching ON the headset. To make this happen, I must do the follwing:
1. Switch ON the headset
2. On the Universal Device, go to Comm Manager and select the Settings tab
3. Choose Bluetooth Settings...
4. Select the Devices tab
5. Select the defined Partnership between the headset and the Universal device, in my case this selection is "i.Tech Clip S"
6. Under the "Select services to use from this device" we have:
a.) Hands Free
b.) Wireless Stereo
c.) Headset
All three are selected but in reality are not working (not yet anyway..)
7. Clicking the REFRESH button causes the services selected in point 6 above to change. Clicking the REFRESH button causes the Hands Free and Wireless Stereo services to be de-selected while the Headset service to remain selected.
8. Select the Hands Free and Wireless Stereo services and click on the Save button.
9. Now all is well!
So, the problem obviously is in point 6 where what the Universal device says is not actually what is reflected in reality.
But in order to work around the problem, I must do points 7 and 8. Since I wish to make an app that does the things mentioned in points 7 and 8 - I need to know what the REFRESH button actually does.
All I know so far is that the REFRESH button does not just elicit values from the registry. It does something that results in the registry values being written. This is where I would really appreciate your comments.

BT Headset, BT CarKit (XCarLink) and M$ Voice Command

I have had a Jabra BT Headset for a couple of years and it works well. I have recently purchased a XCarLink with BT and am now using this in my car instead of the headset. One thing that I liked about the headset was how it worked with M$ Voice Command - i.e. press the 'Talk' button and Voice Command would start and you could say 'call xxx' etc. With the XCarLink if I press the 'Talk' button this justs stops any music that was playing but doesn't start Voice Command.
Is there any tweak I can apply to get this behaviour?
Andy
More testing......
I have been doing some more testing with this as the Jabra BT headset stopped activating Voice Command...
Anyway I have tested a couple of different versions of Voice Command (1.6.19214 & the one from the Diamond 1.6.19581) and both behave the same. If A2DP Joint Stereo is enabled (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings - UseJointStereo=1) then the 'Talk' button on the BT headset no longer activates Voice Command. If Joint Stereo is disabled the 'Talk' button activates Voice Command (after a soft-reset).
I haven't had time to check the behaviour with the XCarLink but I will post the results when I do.
If anyone has any experience with this or knows a fix then I'd appreciate it.
Andy
Anyone been able to get voice dialling working from the Xcarlink? I just bought one and am having the same problems.
