I bought my Cingular 8125 on eBay a couple years ago, and it came with the Molski AKU2.3 ROM flashed. I upgraded to AKU3.3 cuz of the smartskey and MMS support, but I'm wondering if there is a better ROM out there? Anyone have any suggestions?

I got a T Mobile MDA for a great deal even though i have the old Cingular/ AT&T service. I was wondering am i losing any features or benefits since i am using a T Mobile device with the different carrier. As in am i losing benefits of not having T Mobile or not purchasing a Cingular 8125 or even the Qtek or K Jam version.
If you were in my position would you just sell the unit and purchase the Cingular or other Wizard version available?
I appreciate any tips.
I would just reflash it with a cingular rom from the ftp site, It will work perfect.
would the cingular rom be better than the tmobile rom?
obviously it makes sense since i have cingular, just wondering if i would notice anything different or useful
I have the MDA also on Cingular Blue...
I just reflashed to the Dopod rom when I got it... just set the data settings and I was good to go (couldn't stand the pink)... even took the T-Mobile logo off.
If you are not using data then I don't think it'll affect you at all using the T-Mobile rom.
Help
How do I flash the Tmoble mda to the Cingular 8125 firmware. I tried to run the firmware update from cingular and I get a message that says unable to update check PDA. My tmobile mda is unlocked. I need to flash to the cinguarl firmware in order to use all of my media net options
I have both the Cingular 8125 and T-Mobile MDA, and it would seem that the 2.26 ROMs all have issues with GoodLink freezing (on my MDA). My 8125 runs an older version of Summiter's 2.25 ROM and though it doesn't have all the bells & whistles of the 2.26, GoodLink doesn't freeze.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm at Goodlink 4.8.1 with a T-Mobile MDA and the 2.26 rom, mostly without issue.
I have a Cingular 8525 and it is unlocked and I use T-Mobile service with it. I see that T-mobile has released the WM6 upgrade... http://home.businesswire.com/portal...d=news_view&newsId=20070502006572&newsLang=en
My question is should I upgrade using the T-mobile version or should i wait and get the cingular version of WM6? Also, is it worth the trouble to upgrade? Im a pretty heavy user of all the features of the phone.
Also, what software would you recommend me using to backup my programs on my phone if i do upgrade?
Thanks in advance,

Anyone??? Can anyone help???
T-Mobile have released a WM6 update, but it's for the Dash - a completely different device to the 8525 you have.
There is a forum devoted to WM6 and Hermes here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=355
I'd try searching that forum, the wiki, etc.
Read through the posts on all the different ROM's, This will lead you to make the decision your looking for in regards to WM6.

There is also an update for the MDA
I have a T-Mo MDA that is running wm6 but the ext-rom that came with it for wm5. Some cabs work and others lock up my phone so I was thinking that if i had an ext-rom from the wing which is running wm6, I would have better luck. Thank You!
Is there any rom out there to get a T-mobile Wing to run on WM5? Because WM6 isnt to good.
And one more thing can there be other phone roms used to be flashed to the T-mobile Wing as Well?
