I using 3.2 thingonaspring rom in my qtek 9000.When I want to switch the front camera on I get the message ' Failed to initialize camera 36001:100:1 '. I tried rolling back to WM5 but still get the error message. Anybody knows what this is ? Thanks

I have a problem with my jasjar. Whenever I try to open the camera from the programs menu. I get an error.
Failed to initialize camera.

What do I do? This happened when I switched from the camera from the back to the front.
Soft reset didnt work.

Hi After upgrading my p3600 of vodafone to the Rom de Faman 4.02 the camera has stopped working.when I press the camera button to initiate the camera, a error message says:
" It is not possible to activate the camera. It was not possible to initiate the camara "
I have turned to WM5 HTC.'s offcial but It continues with the same problem.
Some advice? Thank you

Try extracting the battery, wait 30 seconds and start it again.

flashed my HD from ver 1 till the latest v3.4..
it's been the best ROM i've used i think... thanks...
however, after installed the V1.6, i cant use my camera.
click at the camera button, but nothing happens.
i've re-flashed beck to SPL 1.14, n install the stock ROM,
the button works, but after a while error message appeared.
it says "problem with device.exe"...

hi! i have the same problem, but still can't solve it. Someone says that it's because of dieing motherboard, and only official service can repair the device by replacing motherboard. But i can't understand how flashing the rom can cause damage to the motherboard.

phone was working ok with xxkf1 version,i just tried to change language to arabic while flashing it stopped at writing boot with Ddl Erase Err message
iam still able to get to download mode
i tried with all fw versions but still the same error
at last i tried some custom flash and now phone powered on but the problem is camera failed when i open camera

No way your camera dead, this is one thing we talk about never flash a camera firmwarein S8530. Are you flashing your camera firmware ?
no i did not flash camera fw i flashed the phone to change lang it had initially xxkf1 then camera failed
