Is there a way to make my close program "x" button larger? I have tried HTC large title bar and that is nice but it doesn't cause the buttons to default bigger, it lets you touch buttons and pull up a window with the larger buttons. This works ok but i would rather just have larger icons there to start with.
On a side not thanks for the info on lock programs S2UL works great!
I'm looking for the same functionality. Just a larger X button on the right corner of the topbar. Seems it doesn't exist?

Hey,
Anytime I open up my phone to text a white bar shows up at the bottom of the screen. It's been happening for like 2-3 weeks now, but can't figure out what it is. Basically anytime I slide up, the screen switches to landscape and it automatically has a white bar on the bottom. If I click the screen, everything is moved and the screen reacts like the bar isn't there(as in I have to click an inch below anything I want to actually hit)
Any ideas? Thanks guys!
Really? No one can help?
Can you post screenshots of your screen?
Is this a physical screen problem or a graphic problem?
V
How can I tell which is which?
The problem is pretty easy to explain, dunno how to do a screenshot... Basically it is my normal screen, just like always, except at the bottom there is a white bar, maybe 1/4 inch thick. What it does is move all my graphics up. So the start bar is not visible, and the send button(for txt messaging) would be right above the white part.
If I hit something I can see on the screen, it will act like I'm hitting where the graphic is supposed to be. For example, on the text messaging screen, if I hit the part that says "Inbox" (which is located at the very top of my screen because of the white bar), it will bring up the Start Menu as if I hit the start menu(which I did tap where the start button would be if the white bar wasn't there, but graphically the start bar is off the screen and I am tapping where the start button would be, but instead it is now the Inbox button that is there instead, but the behavior acts like there is no white bar there)
I am a noob and this is my first post, so go easy on me. I have a mogul phone and one of the problems i have is trying to use my finger to press icons or words that are in the corners of the screen. For instance the X button, or the start button, or the (soft Key)? buttons at the bottom of the screen. And especially the Keyboard (SIP) icon. Is there anyway to "draw in the whole screen size" so it could pull these icons away from the corners and sides. I didnt have this issue withe the iphone as their screen is flush with the edges of the device so my finger could still hit on part of the icon.

First as a noob, don't start a thread, direct your questions to:

Second, you should look at some of the more finger-friendly approaches. Manilla 2D is a very good one. Besides most of the task you mentioned can be achieved by using a hardware button.
Welcome, one of the first thing you are gonna hear from anyone here is do a search or rtfw (read the f****** wiki)
second of all like wearefree already stated just about all the function you are trying to do can be accoplished with a hardware button (which are much more accurate)
try manilla 2d for basic function but your phone is capable of doing just about anything you want to you just need to be able ask google the right questions
Been having fun with 6.5 after getting it loaded up, the home screen is great. I kind of think the start menu has something to be desired, big icons that scroll up and down. Well got me thinking, is there a plug-in out there, for the home screen that when flicked right or left, would move the whole "main" home menu off screen and bring up a new menu(slides in from the approate direction?). Run up and down with in that new menu, then flick again (right or left) and get yet another new menu, all of these additional menu sets either preset or set up by the user. To get back to the home screen, maybe a soft Home key or just wait a few seconds and the software shifts back to Home?
Something to ponder, talk amongst your selves.

Thats a great idea, although not really suited for me and it would be extremely annoying to an extent. Because when you scroll with your thumb up/down you move slightly to the left or right.. that would trigger it and annoy most if not all people.
I'm sure a range of some kind could be set up that would recognize what's meant to be up-down Vs. left-right. Already see it with most of the fields on the home screen. I just saw it as a way to keep the start menu programs "in theme" while not extending the home screen to some crazy length.
i was thinking the same thing.. for the start menu i think it can be done since ifonz and iphone today are similar to this type of a menu. It would be pretty useful or another option would be to get rid of the bouncy option and instead when u scroll the other way, it should show the icons from the bottom of the list.
what do u think?
So I was wondering, how can one configure the lefthand and righthand menus to pop up faster, and without going into the corner of the screen? Ideally, I want to be able to touch anywhere on the screen edge to activate those menus. And if at all possible, I'd like to move the multitasking UI to the top of the screen instead of on the left. Thanks =]
Wouldn't it get in the way if all you had to do was move the mouse to the edge of the screen? Scroll bars would be pretty impossible to use...
I don't really have any problems with its speed. Do you know that if you move the cursor to a corner and directly up/down, the Charms/Multitasking bar will appear almost instantly? It doesn't wait for you, if you're quick.
I have my V20 navigation controls hidden for almost all apps because I like the full 5.7" screen always displayed, but it's a pain sometime to swipe up to get access to them. Is there any way to get a 3rd party app that you can put into the Second Screen as an app shortcut, and when you click the app shortcut icon it will navigate DIRECTLY with the one press on the second screen (i.e. go to home screen and back button, mainly)? I don't think it could be a widget because you can't load widgets as a app shortcut on the 2nd screen. Note that I am NOT rooted.
Probably not but I just thought I'd ask.
This actually works in the nav bar as a return to home button, although will not appear on recent apps when used. Now looking for a back button

If you have any sort of experience with Tasker I'm sure you can create a simple task that goes back, and just assign it to a button that you throw on the 2nd screen though I just checked and some widgets don't actually work in the 2nd screen. Greenify works fine but my mobile payment app doesnt't.
Seems like it can't be a widget or floating button. Can't find a back button that works by clicking the app shortcut icon like the home button does above (i.e. no app options - click and executes the one function directly). Oh well at least I have half what i need.
A pain to swipe up but easier to reach all the to the top of the screen? Smh. Doesn't make sense.

I'm often at the top of my screen switching apps and want to get to the home screen. Plus ONE press on a button instead of a swipe up and press and have it hide again. My thumb is on average in the middle of the screen so up and down or the same. Plus if holding the phone in my left hand it's easier to get at the top with my right hand index finger. Just tried the home button above and definitely faster and less annoying then the hidden nav bar. Doesn't seem like there is a similar back button anywhere that i can find.

All I have to say is software nav FTW!
