Hi.
I have just installed the SIP things for my HTC S710, and I'm trying to get it working with my Asterisk server, but i can only seem to get the same error message, even though the phone is configured properply with the username and password.
This is the error i get in asterisk debug;
Transmitting (NAT) to 10.20.2.242:1026:

im using asterisk as well... i have an eten M700 with the sip stack installed and i can make/recv calls tru my asterisk box. try with canreinvite=yes and nat=yes on your asterisk box. BTW... WM6 and VOIP sucks... REALLY!!!!
can't say it really helped, still getting unauthorized.
The stack in sip.conf looks like this;
[300]
callerid=S710 <300>
host=dynamic
user=300
secret=********
type=friend
nat=yes
canreinvite=yes
context=tv-out
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
these are the codec settings for my sip.conf
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw ; Allow codecs in order of preference
allow=gsm
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
try adding:
qualify=yes (and remove the canreinvite)
canreinvite=no
port=5060
ps, your * box is in the same subnet of your phone.... For testing only try the sjphone too.
there is an xpro for wm but i cant get it work.
OT: i really cant figure out WHY my phone hangs if i have any open app and i use the voip function... :s
Also you are gonna to hear tru the loudspeaker, there is an app to switch to the earpiece, but you need to switch it manually....

After weeks of trying to figure this out here are the correct settings!!
1 Under My Work Network, select (Add a new modem connection)
2 Enter a name for your connection; I used (MMS)
3 From the Select a modem drop down choose Cellular Line (GPRS)
4 Tap Next
5 In the text box labeled (Access point name) type in wap.voicestream.com
6 Tap Next
7 Leave the User name, Password, and Domain fields blank
8 Tap Finish
9 Tap the Proxy Settings tab
10 Place a check in both boxes
11 Leave (Proxy server) blank
12 Tap Advanced
13 Leave HTTP and Socks Server fields blank.
14 Enter 216.155.165.050 for your WAP server. Port # is 9201
15 Enter 216.155.165.050 for your Secure WAP server. Port # is 9201
16 Tap OK twice
Now go to your MMS program and set it up, create a new server and I called mine T-Zones. Here are those settings.
Server Name: T-Zones
Gateway: 216.155.165.050
Server Address: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Tap ok
Now go to preferences and enter these settings,
Connect Via: My Work Network
Connect to Server: T-Zones
(check the box to retrieve messages immediately)
And it should work.
Enjoy!
Nice job, can you send?
I'll also give this settings a try under ezWAP 2.5 and see if they work with
it.

Yes what device and MMS program are you guys using? I am using I-mate on T-Mobile USA. Also please remember in order for you to get this to work u have to have the feature enabled on your accounts. The program I am using is Arcsofts MMS program which comes instaled on the device.

I'm using the i-mate on t-mobile with the default program built in as well.
I don't see "Sender address type:" or "Sender address".. where is this and what should it be set to?

Sender address should be set to Phone Number and Sender address should be your 10 digit mobile number. So check these settings where ever they maybe.

Hey all,
i have found a new mms program that is currently in beta testing that seems to work so far in wm05. the address is http://electricpocket.com/products/pixermms.html you can find the download there near the bottom, the correct one is where it mentions xda.
i however am unable to test send/receive features because i cant work out how to set up gprs/wap in magneto some help with this would be appreciated.
THNAKS IVANT .. yes CONFIRMED PIXER can send MMS using MAGNETO .. but i cant receive an MMS (need to confirm yet) .. at least this is a good start .. .. thanks again..
PS dont use local number coding instead use international Number coding
example
09173xxxxxx4 <- local
+639173xxxxx4 <-international
if you cant connect to GPRS you need to connect manually
(Start->Settings->Connections tab->Advanced Tab->Select Networks Button->Edit Button->Tap and Hold the Modem Connections then connect)
try any of this three cab see which one will work for you
MMS
I wasn't able to get this to work. Stayed stuck on "0% Connecting" even when my GPRS connection was established prior. Funnily enough, if i DIDN'T establish the GPRS connection manually then it said "Authentication OK" even though it wasn't connected to anything! Then it would just hang.
I have to soft-reset to get out of it as "Cancel" does not work.
Using:
WM2005 1.50g
Radio 1.17
i-mate PocketPC
Vodafone NZ
I have not had any joy with MMS Composor 2.0.0.20 for Magneto either (hence why I'm trying this). I am about to install EzWAP 2.5 and try that again. Had some issues with it though, will try again. MMS is just handy to have. You wonder what messages you're missing out on without it

Toe,
Could you post your settings for Pixer4?
My settings are below and I cant seem to send nor receive..
Thanks..
hi jenellej.. just run the GPRS cab ..
under in Service use Globe MMS Settings or Smart MMS Settings or Sun MMS Settings
for sun
"Gateway"="202.138.159.78"
"MMS URL"="http://mmscenter.suncellular.com.ph"
for GLobe
"MMS URL"="http://192.40.100.22:10021/mmsc"
"Gateway"="192.40.100.20"
for Smart
"MMS URL"="http://10.102.61.238:8002"
"Gateway"="10.102.61.46"
i already try the GLOBE and SUN .. but i havent try it with SMART yet
one last thing .. during sending .. the connectivity will not popup that it is connecting to GPRS .. but Pixer4 will say it connects .. suprisingly it does send without the GPRS Connecting notification appeared .. so its normal that you though it doesnt established a connection but in fact it does ..
PS Dont install also ArcSoft MMS COmposer
I manually configured my connection settings. But there should be no problem using toenailed cab. I used to have problems, maybe because it causes conflict with Arcsoft MMS. I uninstalled it, then it worked!
still doenst work
can ´t get it ti work in vodafone.pt i have tryed every possible combination and still get the message rejected for unknown reason
i will not give up lol

it takes time for it to send. just wait for it. it will seem it hanged but in fact it isn't. it takes time on "authenticated-ok" but after a while, it goes on smoothly.
for SMART (philippines):
here's the settings for Pixer..
Start/Settings/Connections/Connections
Click Advanced Tab, choose Select Networks
Under "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:", click new.
Under General Tab:
Enter a name for these settings: Smart MMS
Under Modem Tab:
Tap new, enter a name for the connection, select "Cellular line (GPRS)" then tap next.
Access point name: mms
Click Next then Finish.
NOw open Pixer4.
Tap Options/Preferences/Advanced.
Wap Gateway IP Address:
10.102.61.46
MMS URL:
http://10.102.61.238:8002
Service:
Smart MMS
Click OK, check "Get Message Immediately" then OK.
for GLOBE and SUN settings, refer to toenailed's post above.
i was working on a cab with toenailed's help (thanks toe!!!), but i still can't get it to work. maybe later i'll figure it out when i'm not too busy. :wink:
I can send using Pixer4 on the Orange network. Not sure about receiving yet.
My Pixer4 settings:
Wap Gateway IP Address:
192.168.224.10
MMS URL:
http://mms.orange.co.uk
Service:
Orange MMS
works perfectly on sending MMS message (Etisalat) Operator & 1.5 WM but recieving is not working even when retrieve option is ticked, but that could be because of the workarounds am doing with MMS composer, am trying to replace the pop3 account in my inbox with MMS composer but no success so far :shock:
How abaut EzWAP MMS
i'm not try it yet but i thought it work.... :roll:

Hi All,
Has anyone had any eperience with configuring their M5000 to send emails using the BT Internet settings.
I have configured it using there their default:
mail.btinternet.com (POP3)
mail.btinternet.com (SMTP)
but I cannot send messages without the follow message appearing:
Messgaes cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. make sure you are connected and that your e-mail account settings are correct. Then, try to download messages again.
Recieving works perfectly though every time.
I have read that the SMTP port should be changed to 587. so I changed the line to:
mail.btinternet.com:587
but this made absolutly no difference.
Anyone out there have any ideas??

Got mine working no problems - havent changed any port settings, so heres my setup [Going through the screens]
~Enter Email Address~
~Enter Name/Password~
Choose POP3
Incoming: mail.btinternet.com
Outgoing : mail.btinternet.com
Domain #Empty
[Click on Options]
~Choose connection interval and connection name~
Only place a check in the Outgoing mail requires authentication - nowhere else
~Choose whether to get whole message or part and how much etc~
Hope this helps.

Hi
thanks for the reply, unfortunatly these are the settings I have set.
Incoming works perfectly, outgoing will not send at all.

I think you can also try smtp.orange.net as the outgoing server too. -I used to use that instead of the BT one.

Sorted
Thanks very much
I changed the SMTP from:
mail.btinternet.com
to
smtp.orange.net
and everything started working.

I have been attempting to get my HTC Wizard running WM6 working with BT Broadband Voice but I have hit an issue.......
I have managed to get a PC Softphone working with the service (3CX Phone) and have captured the SIP registration with a network Sniffer (Wireshark). I have replicated the settings into the provisioning XML file and installed this on the Wizard through the .CAB method described in another thread. However when using the Wizard I never get a response to any of the registration requests it sends. I have managed to get the Wizard working with a test-lab Asterisk server I have so I know the SIP client works.
The differences in the traces between the PC softphone and WM6 registrations seems to be a 'Branch' message that is sent in the SIP header that isn't sent from the Wizard:
From 3CX Phone:
Code:
P.WES=Dd<Qj(rWREGISTER sip:btsip.bt.com SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.100.60:5061;branch=z9hG4bK8019d72590f1db11be898000600fe800

User-Agent: RTC/1.5.5374

Content-Length: 0
I am thinking there may be some additional stuff that needs to go into the provisioning file but I am not sure what
Has anyone managed to get this working with BT Broadband Voice? If so what changesdid you have to make? Does anyone know what the 'Branch:' header is and whether this is implemented in the WM6 SIP stack?
Thanks
Andy
Replying to my own posts.....
Right after a bit more playing around and debugging pre and post firewall logs I think I have narrowed this down to being a NAT/Firewall issue.
I originally thought the issue was the lack of the 'Branch' message in the SIP header from the WM6 device - it isn't. It is in fact the 'Contact' header. With the WM6 registration packet this includes the source IP address of the SIP User/Server Agent (the Wizard's SIP Phone) which is using RFC1918 private addressing (sip:192.168.130.1:5061) as I am behind a router/firewall performing NAT. In the 3CX Phone registration it contains the phone number in the Contact header (sip:[email protected]). I checked on my router/firewall and this was not receiving any replies from the SIP Registrar/Proxy, however it was sending the Registrations. Luckily my Router supports SIP Protocol inspection so can intercept the SIP headers and modify them. I enabled this feature and now I can see the router changing the Contact header in the SIP Registrations and can see the replies returning from the SIP Registrar/Proxy
I'll continue testing this and let you know my results..........
Andy
Did you ever resolve this??? I've noticed the same thing, and my SIP provider keeps sending a 400 bad request when trying to register because the contact header isn't how it should be.

Yes it is resolved but only because my router supports SIP inspection. When my phone attempts to register with BT Broadband my router intercepts the registration packets and replaces the RFC1918 address in the 'contact' header with it's own 'real' IP address.

Hello y'all, anybody knows and suggests any cool - free and safe - programs for this pda? anything useful to get my hands on. thanks
Call for free with your mobile phone, by wlan or gprs
Just installed SJphone
and uses it with voipbuster. works great
This is how to install:
-First download Voipbuster for your own pc. Install it and make an new account.
www.voipbuster.com
-Download SJPhone and install for your pda
http://www.sjlabs.com/sjp.html
Right click on SJPhone. Select Option menu and then click in Profiles tab. Click on new button, type the name of your profile (i recommend voipbuster) and select Profile "Calls though SIP proxy) and click OK button. A new window appears.
In this new windows click on SIP Proxy tab an fill the following fields: Proxy Domain: sip.voipbuster.com : 5060, User Domain: sip.voipbuster.com; Accept other fields defaults by pressing OK Button.
Finally, Right click on SJPhone and select Restart option. You user id and password will be asked. (That you used when you signed up with voipbuster
It works great with my wlan connection.
thanks!!
Dear Rewind,
Thank you very much for taking your time and for your suggestion. I will try it out. Its really surprising that you can talk for free from your mobile. Your mobile phone service providers must not like you very much
Regards...
I just tried it with gprs but that didnt worked with my phone, I think the connection will be to slow..????
But on wlan it works perfect.
and I used around 0,5mb a minute by gprs ( and with a 25mb datalimit ) i cant very long phonecalles.
