Need Help! Is my MDA dead??

Hello,
I have a big problem with my MDA Compact. I tried to flash the rom in french with QtekS100_FRA_DT_10302_157_10100_For_MDA_T_Mobile.exe but something went wrong!! Now it says "Serial" on the top of the screen and at the bottom "V1.00". When I plug it to the PC with the USB cable it say "USB" at the top of the screen and "V1.00" at the bottom. What can I do?? Activesync don't recognize it. I launch the QtekS100_FRA_DT_10302_157_10100_For_MDA_T_Mobile.exe and the soft say this

What happens if you click the upgrade button?

I didn't try it! I m scared to do something wrong because now it says I have nothing "Device CE image version" "Device Extended image version" and "Device radio image version".
Should I try or not?

can you explain what can I do?

I had the same problem while updating my ROM. If you look at the PDA, you can see two strings on the screen: "USB" and "V1.0". I clicked 'Update" and the update process started and finished succesfully.

weird simlock code

hi folks, i don't know if this is the right thread to post, but here it goes
it's a qtek s200 bought in portugal, locked to OPTIMUS.
ipl 2.10
spl 2.10.000
os 2.10.7.24
activesync 4.5.0 build5096
after downloading thelockiwiz03a, i ran the msl batch file and it stated the "Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is in use?"
i uploaded the packages and sucessfully installed he couple of files. ran again the msl batch file and it returned a weirdsimlock code.

isn't it supposed to return a numerical code?

thelockiwiz03a is rather old. try the 'c' version. and, there are reported cases of weird text in non-WWE ROM. You may want to flash a WWE to unlock then back to the original rom. just a suggesttion.

Oops.. my fault. I got the idea that there is 3 version of lokiwiz around, hence I got the idea thats a 'c' version (e.g. 3 = c, 2 = b, etc). Anyway, I did a search around, it seems that your problem is that your phone is not locked. Try another SIM card, it should work.

Herald with Black Screen

Hi friends,
Las week I tried to upgrade my herald but something went wrong and my pda crushed few times. (It looked like video card driver error on PC)
I tried ro reload WM5 but could not manage. I tried few times, but could not manage.
Before I crashed to the black screen, it was womething like this:

Have you tried the "how to fix a brick" thread?
It's a step by step guide on how to fix this.
Also, it helps to know what you were trying to flash. If you were flashing HardSPL, it's one thing, but if you were just updating to a newer version of the stock HTC ROM, then you may be having a problem going back to the default wm5 since the wm6 ROM updated your SPL. Try the stock wm6 ROM again.
There are many many guides to help you with this scattered around here so don't worry, one way or another, you'll get your phone working again.

I can't help but wonder how the hell i'm gonna charge the battery as it won't let me in it's current state, due to failed flash

Try another rom can help

radio fail, or stuck radio, is pretty terminal, usually.
It has occasionally been bypassed by flashing a custom rom which doesnt try to update the radio, and sometimes the 'chill phone in fridge' trick works, , , it seems there are a few different sets of circumstances that lead to 'stuck radio', some overheating, some bad blocks, and i think sometimes the spl refuses to change too, in such circumstances.

as sam notes, try flashing a radioless ROM, try the fridge trick, try flashing again,

[Q] htc hd2 stuck at white screen with htc logo

so i have got an htc hd2..the problem with the phone is that it won't go past the white screen with htc logo...I have tried everything....installing custom roms(BlueTopia 1.0.3 by cmylxgo) didn't helped so tried to install stock rom..when I had cotulla HSPL(tried both 2.08 and 3.03) the stock rom won't flash by using sd card method, it would give me error "upgrade rom code, please try again", but when downgraded to normal SPL(tried both 1.42 and 2.08) the bootloader keeps on loading(image below)...I have tried everything but nothing seems to work please help..phone is from united kingdom so i tried installing wwe rom and english europe roms but they were not downloaded from htc's website(downloaded from htcpedia) as there are no rom download options on htc's website.....

Try putting the phone in the refrigerator (I am not joking) for 20 minutes.
Then, with HSPL 2.08, try flashing a custom ROM via RUU.
You may be suffering from the issue so many people have had, which is a bad mainboard / overheating chip.
Let me know how that goes.
