You do not need to mess with registry. Just go to "Settings". On first tab you have "Today" icon ( for settings of Today page). Click it and vuala. You have list of skins for your choice.

I can do better than that. I can point you to the cab I made of the relevant changes so all you need to do is install this one file!
Great job, but do tell if the video call button would come back or not if I uninstall the Cab file.
If not how can we bring it back if and when I want to
This freeware program is a great alternative. Includes a reset to default command.

Can someone give me the registry path, so I can choose witch programma I like to map?
I have the new 2.03 ROM installed but want to change the dailer softkeys.
Thanks
You would have to find out a way to edit the DLL from post #4.
Unlike the softkeys from the homescreen the softkey on the dialer work totally different.
I didn't realise we were talking about the dialer when I posted above!
You can change the Left Softkey to the default contacts application (iContact BE on my phone) by setting the following registry DWORD to 1:
HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\LSKContact
Cab file attached (my first ever)
Also, you can drop this file in your Windows dir. Just overwrite the original with Total Commander or Resco.

What does this DLL do?
Now I have standard Windows Contacts or Pocket Informant, but I want iContact set as default contact button. This because in the phonepad I can't switch to second phone number when using smartdail...

That registry key is allready set to 1, but I can't get iContact to start...
What does your cab file do?

It just sets that one registry value, changing the left soft key of the dialer to "Contacts".
This launches the default contacts application - normally pOutlook but it should be iContact if you have installed it.
I installed the new iContact 0.9 and now it is default contact manager
Thanks

Default system menu

Hi,
I have lost the Htc system Menus and I have now the default windows menus.
I have tried to restore the Htc System menus with BsBTweaks but it doesn't
work.
Which key should I change in the registry to restore the Htc System menus?
Thanks for help .
Daniel
You need to select Start>Settings>Today and then tick HTC Sense on the Items tab.

How to make the settings icon in the start menu go directly to the WM settings?

Is anyone able to answer to my question? I was looking for an answer but any changes to the registry I made wasn't able to give back normal WM settings instead it always goes to manila settings.

1. Unhide windows settings shortcut
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo]
"HideSettings"=dword:0
2. Remove the hTC settings shortcut

By removing htc setting shortcut you mean deleting \windows\start menu\settings folder?
Using BsB is fast
Remove shortcut Settings.lnk from windows\start menu\programs
Thank you guys, it finally works as it ment to be

Input disappeared

on my HD2, (Freyberry ROM), under settings > personal > the folder "INPUT" is gone, (no more). It was useful when you have multiple keyboard (as I has the standard input keyboard and TouchPal).
Somebody knows how to make re-appear?
Thanks
Saulo866
I mean via a registry tweak?
Or by adding a cab?
Otherwise now I have no way to select the default keyboard.
For example, if I would like to revert (even temporarily) to standard keyboard, then I need to unistall Touch Pal...which is not a desirable thing to do.
Any suggestions are welcomed!
Saulo
Simply delete the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Input\Redirect
Soft reset, and the Input settings are visible again!!
(Works on the HD at least )
Thanks Cycled.
Can you suggest me a registry editor? I am trying the default File Manager but I cannot figure out how to reach the registry
Thanks
Saulo
I remembered a registry editor called ph but its official website (a Russian one) seems pointing to different type of softwares

Do a google for CeRegEditor. You connect your phone to your PC with ActiveSync and run the app on your PC. I'd highly recommend it mate.

I use PHM Regedit. I think it's the one anyway as most roms I use lately already have a reg editor installed and so I haven't installed it myself lately.
Dear Cycled
I see you are very knoweleagle: do you know how to twek the registry in order to DISABLE the HTC Outlook?
Please see my other thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5610889#post5610889
In brief:
I cannot launch the standard Microsoft outlook-contacts, therefore the only onw is the HTC contacts, which lacks many fields (No separation for name, family name, middle name, no separation in company address into address, city, zip, etc)
2.
Do you know how to get the last HTC application which is the bar on top which when you click on CLOCK or TIME?
Thanks
Saulo

I'm not that knowledgeable, just read a lot. I'm sorry, I use the standard HTC Contacts and do not know how to deactivate that.
For 2, I'm not sure if you are referring to a Task Manager which will show open apps when you click on the clock on the taskbar?
