I don't even know if this is possible, but is there a way to reduce the microphone volume for a wired headset (other than Headset Equalizer)? I'm trying to use a noise-canceling wired headset, but it no longer noise-cancels because the microphone volume on the phone itself is too high.
I've tried searching for this, but haven't found any information.
Thanks to all in advance!

I am using this headset and once in a while the output volume cannot be modified. The volume is too low then to properly understand the person talking. Microphone is ok and sound is ok as well if used as audio device for a PC. So I suspect it has something to do with the QTEK. A new installation sometimes helps. Any ideas?
Hi there,
When using the Bluetooth take and talk handsfree kit, the speaker volume coming through the car speakers is really quite low, and adjusting the volume on the car stereo does not have any effect. Does anyone know of where you would increase that volume? Call volume is fine without the handsfree kit.
Thanks,
Anyone have any ideas? Is it a common problem with the wizard and the take and talk universal cradle? The speaker volume is fine when using a Parrot 3100.
Is there any way (other than the obvious) to boost the volume output to a bluetooth headset?
I have the sound coming correctly via my stereo bluetooth-headset, but I cannot change the volume of it.
The volume that I change on the device has no influence on the volume of the headset...
Any idea?
I have the sa meissue with my Sony bluetooth headset. I can only control the volume via the headset but not from the build in volume control of the HD2. I also noticed that the quality of the sound is worse compared to my Kaiser or the Hero. I tried to change the Blettoh a2dp settings in the registry to High quality sound but that doesnt have an impact.
Does HTC use the Microsoft bluetooth stack or a third party tool?
The problem is, that I cannot control the volume on the headset itself.
So it has to be controlled on the device.
That worked with the same headset nice on the Touch HD.
With this new Windcomm Bluetooth stack, used in the HD2, this seens not to be possible.
Any news about this problem?
I really wish, we could get the old microsoft-stack back, since there a re so many problems with the widcomm-stack...
I just picked up this phone and I absolutely love it, only issue though is the low headphone and Bluetooth Audio Volume. I know I can change the headphone volume by changing the mixer file, but I haven't seen anything on Bluetooth. Unfortunately my car doesn't have an aux port because Honda thinks everyone just uses Bluetooth now -_-. Does anyone know of a way to raise the volume level?
That's strange, because I find Bluetooth to be louder than the headphone output when going to an external speaker. In my car, bluetooth on my phone is maxed and even at 70% volume in my car it's ear blasting loud. You can't use steering wheel controls with the aux cord too.
If you're rooted you can try Viper.
