Is there a time scheduler we can use to set the ringer types and volumes by time of day and day of week? I don't want it looking at my calendar to figure out if I'm free or busy because I schedule my work crew on my calendar but I'd like a different ring during the day than I have at night and I'd like it to switch for me.

Hi all,
I'm trying to seting up a reminder for a task but I can't do it as I want...
I'd like to set a reminder for a taks (call a friend saturday afternoon for example...) on the exact day and on a given hour (saturday afternoon at 14:00!)
Is it possible? I set the reminder and the Jam ask me for a day.... okay but at what time the reminder will be notified with a sound? How does the reminder for a task works?
Just use Appointments?
With appointments it works but if I have to call a friend I think it's a task not appointment....
To set the exact time a task reminder will notify you for an event you must set the task from MS Outlook. In Outlook you can select the default time for the device to remind you for future tasks set on the device. As for tasks set from your PC you can manaully select the time. I believe the standard default time that a task reminds you is @ 8am on the day of the task is set due. Hope this helps.
I have a dilemma that I'm hoping someone can help me out with.
I use my Wizard as my daily alarm clock, but don't want to be prematurely awakened by calls or emails. Right now, my only option is to turn on flight mode, but I need to see if I missed any calls while I was asleep. So I need to keep system sounds on, but turn off notification of messages and calls.
Anybody know of a way to set this up or know of some software that would help?
I was wondering the same thing myself, and I found nothing of help. Looks like the Wizards are really not good as alarm clocks - for the reason you are talking about, but also because alarms are so unreliable.
I cant soeak to the reliability of teh alarms, but you could get something like PocketZenPhone. That way you could have a profile with the ringer shut off but whatever notifications you want notifications left on. You could also set it to switch to this profile at a set time so you won't have to remember to do it.
I just downlaoded teh 30 day trial and it see,s to be working well with a small footprint.
turn off phone
I worked round this by turning off the phone in comm manager but leaving the sound enabled - you get the alarm as required but you're not disturbed by incoming txt/email/calls.

It is not free but I use a really cool utility from Pocketmax that lets you set all kinds of profiles so that you can have the phoen ring but no e-mail sounds or whatever you want. You can also set it to change when you plug it in, or on a schedule. Pretty neat.
PPCProfilesPro
One that is free, and does as above-mentioned programs, is MoDaCo's PPCProfilesPro.

Requires registration to the website to download, but well worth it. I found it yesterday while searching for exactly the same thing.
isn't there a silent wav file that you can use as the tones for messages and calls when you sleep?
I have all my contacts with their birthdays set, and the problem is that by defaults they ring at midnight!!!
there is a way to make them ring by default at 10 am!!!

Open it and change it.... or change your time 12 hours backward or change between AM and PM
Yes I can do this, but i will like to know if it is possible that by default birthdays reminder are not full day but from 12 to 14!!!
or is there a way to disable reminder audio?
you can
you can open the birthday and adjust it to a period...
and you can set it to silent too. Two volumes, one for the Phone function and one for PDA (alarm and PDA functions).
Is there a way to have an alarm sound when setting appointments or reminders using the Calender? For some reason I only get a beep or the prelisted alternative one beep sound when I get a Calender notification. I would have preferred a more 'alarm-like' feature. Even the beep is turned off if I decided to put my phone in silent mode. That is stupid. The alarm clock is set to go off even in silent mode why can't the calendar notification do the same? What's the point?
If there is no way to rectify this issue is there another calendar that as the alternative to set an alarm; single or continuous be recommended by someone please?
Hello guys,
SilenceMe is a simple application that can be used to silence your phone ,whenever there is an event happening in your calendar. We all have those embarrassing moments, when the phone rings in the middle of a class or a meeting.
SilenceMe is exactly for this kinds of situations. Just enter 'class' or 'meeting' as a keyword in this application, and if the same keywords are found in the title of an event in your calendar, the phone is silenced during the duration of that event. You also have a setting in the application to silence the phone during all the events.
Since SilenceMe is still a beta, you can request for new features or report problems.
Search for 'SilenceMe(Beta)' in marketplace for the app.
-Regards.
Sweet! i was looking for an app like this to put my phone on silent when i sleep and turn it back to vibrate when i wake up. For the time being, i could set it in my calendar as "sleep". But as a suggestion, could you put an option to set a specific time and repeating options?
Thanks again! I'll test it out tonight and report back.
