any sport radio program out there? - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

is there any sport radio program out there? I know there xm radio, but it only got music for the mobile version. Thanks

Heres my solution
Alot of stuff doesnt get streamed via internet radio, but you will get a decent amount
download and install gsplayer, then associate it with .pls files
on your phone, go to thestreamcenter.com, and look up the city where your favorite team is playing (download and open link, most work with gsplayer)
from there your on your own, hopefully, youll catch a local radio station that does sports talk or broadcast

Good Radio Tuner????

anyone know of a good radio tuner? I need something to listen to the local stations while on my way to work... Any recommendations?
if you have internet access, you can log into radio4pda (i believe that is the site name) and stream tunes, there's another really popular one, but the name eludes me at the moment (been a long day), also for a few bucks you can buy resco radio (just google it)...damn i wish i could think of the other site's name...it huge, has several genre's, and is streaming radio...someone help me out...am having a total brain-fart! I know the radio4pda offers "local" stations, as it is broken down by state, the others i'm not sure about.
http://www.tuned.mobi/ <----- radio4pda link
The WIZ has no integrated radio tuner. The only one way of getting radio is over the internet (WiFI or GPRS - as mentioned in the previous post). If local channels are available online then there shouldn't be a problem - except your NETWORK PROVIDER is charging you lots of money for internet connection.
Other than that: there are some good radio applications out there. One of them: RESCO RADIO.
You can also try Shoutcast radio.com, or just do a Google search for free internet radio. I have about 30 stations downloaded to my Storage card under the folder I created as "My Radio". I can access the stations from GS player, TCPMP, or Windows media player. Most of these downloads are pls. files.

FM Radio????

is there FM radio available for the wing
nope. you would need a physical chip for that, which the wing does not have. Internet radio, however, is possible.
or you can just get one of those earphone where it has fm radio built in
i cant get the internet radio to work on my wing i tried yahoo radio
I'd like to use pandora. but i doubt it would work through the site. anyone tried it?
theoretically, it because it streams media, you should be able to use it.
You might be able to directly input the url of the stream you want to play.
It is recommended that you do this on Wifi
I got this to work the other day, and it works fine....kinda.
1) You must first get your network connection up and functioning. If you're using GPRS/EDGE, you must first establish the data path for TCP/IP over GPRS/EDGE...and you do that by launching Pocket IE and going to any site you know of.
2) Once you've mad the connection and fired-up GPRS/EDGE, close IE and use a media player....any player besides Windows Media Player! - for some reason, it does not handle URLs in a nice fashion (like http://radio.webchat.org:8000 - just happens to be the stream I produce and DJ on!). Use something like MortPlayer instead of WMP.
That's about it.
Enjoy!

Some good radio streams that play using WMP...
You can use the folling links to search for you favorite radio station, if it's broadcasted over the internet...
1.) http://www.tuned.mobi/ Pick your country, then search for the station by frequency or name...
2.) http://mobile.surrealnetworks.com/streaming.htm This one doesn't have many stations, but the few they have are good ones.
3. www.tinytube.net This one's an added bonus, it's like youtube for pda's. Not exactly streaming, but it is possible to stream if you configure the device properly(from what I understand). I just download them and play them back. Generally speaking if the video is on youtube, it's on tinytube...
Enjoy...

Share:Collection of Internet Radio Stations

Hello all
My collection of online radio stations – Hope you find this useful.
I have decided after searching for something similar (with no luck) to post here all of the internet radio stations I have collected into a single file to share with you. These are all in playlist format which I have created using Winamp. All you have to do is unpack the RAR file, copy them to your mobile device and open them using your favorite app that can play streaming audio (I use TCPMP which works flawlessly)
Note: that you can also copy these to your desktop and open using Winamp or Jet-Audio or whatever you wish and listen to these on your desktop.
Also note that many of these have several streams which will show up in your playlist. These are different streams of the same Radio Station so if you find that one it not working great (always buffering due to high traffic) then just click skip next to go to a different stream of the same radio station)
Example – “the Buzz alternative” has 21 streams of the same station – Pick one and if it is not streaming perfectly – try another stream from the playlist.
Once you have these on your device you can either navigate to the folder where you placed all of the stations, click one to open and start listening. Alternatively, you could open TCPMP or other streaming media player and open the radio station through that.
I have created shortcuts to my favorite stations using Ultimate Launch so they are just one click away when I want to listen to one of them. It is a very easy setup. You could probably do the same with throttle launcher or other launcher’s out there; however, I have not tested myself.

I hope that you find this useful and enjoy this collection. No need to donate to me for putting this collection together – I only wish to contribute to this site and only ask that each and every one of you find a way to contribute also in any way you can.
I may add more stations as I find them – There are so many out there and I have not checked them all out – these are basically the once on my device that I use –
Note that I have not listened to some of these recently and if they no longer work I am sorry; however, most should work.
All of these are free to listen to (no subscription required) however, some such as SKY FM require subscription to get CD Quality Streaming.
Please feel free to share with us the online radio stations you listen to and the method you use to listen to them.
Of course there is also Pandora (which I hear is great); however, Pandora does not work in Canada. I am curious to hear about other stations I may not have yet found.
Enjoy

I also listen to .977 music but wasn't aware of the cab. Thanks for posting it, I will be giving it a try.
If you know the source of the app and cab it would be nice to give credit or link to thread or web site. If you created it, give yourself some credit.
edit - I should have looked more closely - the app is available from http://www.977music.com/ and clicking mobile tab and so on. Nice find though. Will be testing when I am done work today.

LOve ya dance music

Go to frenchkiss fm using internet explorer and click on the winamp symbol (its the icon which looks like a yellow lightening bolt, just before the iphone icon on the right of the page) now as long as you have coreplayer, you can listen to some bangin tuneage, been a massive fan for years. May work with other players you have on the Leo, but only have core will try other sites, will try to provide a core link dedicated to it if i can
Try shoutcast radio as well for more choice, and once clicked a radio station choose to use own media player. dont know what usage of your data service plan this wiil use up, so use wisely and will try to find out, could be minimal or excessive so be WARNED
do you mean frenchkissfm.com ? the frenchkiss.fm url doesn't work.
Yeah sorry ignore the . between frenchkissfm, and now found out kinoma freeplay gives you access to the shoutcast radio stations, as far as i can tell all of them, sweet
wunder radio
Just get this from market place. It's quality, and has loads of good house/trance stations. ibiza global radio is my personal favourite.

Internet Streaming Radio App [for outside of the USA]

Hey guys,
as the title say, I am searching for an App for streaming internet radio. I found Slacker and Pandora by searching the forum, but both programs only work in the USA.
Since I'm in Germany, I'm searching for an App which can stream internet radio over here.
ACTUALLY:
It is just about this radio station I want to listen to on my TP2: http://radiometro.com.au/player/listenonline.html
I copied this link into the "Streaming Media App" on my TP2, but it only said 'invalid link'. So if anyone could tell me how I could get it done to stream this radio station on my device, I would really appreciate.
Thanks,
Don
Try this one;
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-tag-miasto_muzyki_ppc.html
I am using for a long time, and its awesome. many different style-oriented radios as well as regular ones. you can see track list on the screen.
I love it.
Enjoy

open that page in your browser. In the View menu select Page Source
About a quarter of the way down you will find a line containing this
http://67.220.196.164:7777/listen.pls
Copy that and paste it into your browser (or alternatively copy the one above). When prompted save the file to your hard disk then copy it to your storage card.
Coreplayer will open it and play your radio station
HTH
Thanks a lot for the replies, but unfortunately none of them solved my problem.
@ royhapper: Installed it, started it, selected a channel, can't hear anything. Tried lots of channels, did 3 softresets,... reinstalled it,... no chance. Doesnt work
@ stunno: downloaded the listen.pls, but I dont feel like spending $30 on the CorePlayer. I know that I could use it for more than just streaming Radio, it definitely looks like a good player, but still.... $30 seems a little overpriced in my opinion.
Any other solution?

Give miasto muzyki one more try, I suggest. I am also having same problems since 2-3 days, its a system update or something I suppose. But now its working. I am listening at least.
This is a radio from Poland, you are closer than me, it must be easier for you )
@ royhapper: Still doesnt work.
I found an App called "Wunder Radio" which lets you listen to just about any radio station on this planet. There is a 15 day Trial Version,... and you can get a licence fpr $14.95
http://www.jeyo.com/radio.asp
Still dont want to pay though,... so if anyone figures a cost-free way, let us know
Try GSPlayer. It's a freeware media player that can play Shoutcast and other internet streams. I just tried it with the site you are trying to stream and it works just fine.
1. Download GSPlayer from http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/
2. In GSPlayer select Menu > File > Open URL
3. Put in 67.220.196.164:7777 (don't add the /listen.pls part or it won't work)
4. It should start buffering and streaming...
It worked for me, and it shouldn't be limited to the US, since the GSplayer is from a Japanese site.
