XDA II does not recognize any SD card

My XDA II doesn't recognize SD cards..I changed the cards (although working in card reader with my PC), I hard rest the XDA II, re downlaod the new ROM, and nothing happining ..My problem started after downlaoding the new ROM and unlocking my XDAII with the tool in this site!! at the same time I don't know if this is related!! please help meeeeeeeeeeee!!! I tried every thing ..urgent help needed please

I am sorry to here you are having difficulties with your XDA2. It would appear you have already tried everything I could suggest (hard reset, downloading the ROM again etc.) It would seem this is a hardware fault. Please call the XDA repair centre on 08081003427 with whom you will be able to discuss repair/replacement of the unit.

Thank you for your e.mail..But it cant be hardware problem ! because I had the same problem with my original XDA II, send it for repare, after THREE MONTHS!!!!! !!! no one could tell me were is my phone and after a very long fight I was givin a new XDA II..downlaoded the new ROM and you know the rest!!! please advice urgentlyyyyy

Does your XDA II even see the SD card?
With your device booted up and on the today screen, if you inserted an unformatted SD card you would be prompted to format it. Does this happen?

When I insert an SC card I have this massege on the screen"" do you want to try to reformat this storage card to make it readable? this will permanently delet any files on the card." i press YES ..then another massege saying" this storage card has been successfully formatted!!!!
but the XDAII dosent recognise the card any more..like it is not there!!! when reinsert the SD card same thing happens all over again!! I really dont know what to do anymore..any suggestions pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas

Have you tried different SD cards? Yours might just be faulty or incompatible.

this card was working perfectly befor the ROM upgrade!! But I still did try different cards!! and same problem!! and the same card is working perfectly in other devices!!

mmm OK well I'm out of ideas, sorry . Unless you try one of the tools available on somewhere like PocketGear. If I think of anything else, I will post it.

switichin on / miniSD card problem!

hi, i have problem with switiching on my wizard. my device just freezed and every time i try to soft reste it starts but dosnt responso/dosnt work. the only way to make it work again is to remove miniSD(2gb) and reste it againn. my wizard dosnt see what is on the card and even if it does i still cannot open any files. why is that ?? what can i do ??
in addition i can say that it has been ok so far it started to happen just like that.

Freezing
Sounds like your card needs re-formatting.
Re-format is as FAT.
Unfortunately you'll loose data that you had on it. Back it up from a PC if you need to first..

yeah i also wonder how to format mini sd without card reader. Is there any program (ppc) for backup and formating card?

Download trial versions of storage tools or sktools (google them) and you will be able to format the card on your device.

4gb sdhc - problems

I have a 4gb sdhc and my trinity sometimes don´t show the pasts, i need to restart the trinity and then it works..
Can someone help me in this problem?

I have the same card and same pbm so you can format your card on FAT or FAT16.

for me the problem with the card was solved after the upgrade from wm5 to wm6...

but i already apgrde mine and the resolved the problem..
i also put Schap's WM6 Pro 4.30 ROMs and it didn´t work..

I just bought a htc touch 3g half year.Just few week happen my sd detect disappear already.when i put in my laptop use card reader it detect.i try to format to fat32 system using sd card formatter software , hard reset,flash rom .but still cannot solve my problem
Can anyone tell me what can i do know.
now all my software canot use already so sad

Have you tried to use a different sd card to see if that works ok

same problem
other sd card detedect is 2 sec after will no function already

Have you thought about maybe is system problem?Why do not you try another ROM?

i try so many rom but also same problem happen

It may be a hardware problem,You can try to go mobile phone repair center to testing

Has anyone solved that problem. After i installed WM6.1 on my clone, I cant use SD-Storage-Cards anymore. Please help.

u can try doing a hard reset but before doing it back up ur phone data
i was using a 4GB now a 2GB(moved the 4GB to my tattoo) and still i don't see this problem
if u dont know how to hard reset click on the jade Q & A on my sign i have explained on the 2nd page

Memory card issue

I have a new problem every day!
Now, my memory card changes the name for memorycard2, and all the icones of programms I have installed in it is bloken. How can I fix it?
What version of energy is better, cookie ou standart? I cant connect with portuguese radio stations, I have 28.08.2010 rom version and 4.49.25.91. Do you think thats the better option?

I had the same problem when I decided to upgrade from WM6.1 to WM6.5, I didn't find any other solution than change the SD card. I have no technical explanation, just try different SD cards until you're lucky

This error normally happens, when u r connected in disk drive mode and an app using memory card is open. Phone doesn't detect a memory card and thus creats a folder "Memory card" in phone memory n store data in it.
To solve it, try this -
1. Remove memory card from phone
2. Delete "Memory Card" folder from phone memory
3. Insert memory card and reboot
If it doesn't work, format the card and everything will be fine.
P.S. - i faced d same problem and was not able to format the card in Windows XP. I then formatted using frnds' laptop, which had Windows Vista
