Error 101, always this error
I have a BA with WM5 and I wanna Upgrade to WM6, all the times I try to upgrade i received error 101, I have disabled internet security before, and done soft reset, BA on the docks, active sync's connect.
Please Help me!!!

I just upgraded TMO radio stack to 6.24.00, works flawlessly. Tested the RS with calls, web connections, incoming call while on web ... perfect.
However, ActiveSync will not recognize a partnership with my PDA now. Reverts to Guest every connection.
Reinstalled ActiveSync ... no luck. Soft reset PDA ... no luck. Tried it on a WinXP-HE and Win2K computer, same on both.
Have searched forum & seen a few enteries on this subject but no solutions. Running TMO ROM 4.00.21 & TMO RS6.24.00.
Anybody had this issue & successfully resolved it?
Yeap been there seen that but had forgotten about those problems until I read your post! :wink:
Try downgrading back to 3.7, my sig states what I ended up doing to fix it for me! :wink:
Also you might try turning the device off before you put it in the cradle
so times that helped if I remember correctly.

Resolved problem by uninstalling ActiveSync 3.7.1, restart Windows, reinstall ActiveSync 3.7.1 and it detects new USB hardware, starts the Partnership wizard and things are okay.

Lately i'm having this new trouble...upon connecting my device to work laptop it's connecting and while looking for changes it's popping up with following information:
"Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persists , see the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter in Microsoft ActiveSync Help on your desktop computer."
After this error popup only 'Explore' button is enabled on my laptop's ActivieSync......
Please help me what I should do now .... I strongly believe that i'll get solution in this forum rather than O2 Customer support.

Having problem with active sync and cingular 8125 2.25. connects but get error active sync gets error and to restart. even tryed to reinstall activ sync on pc and did the same. any suggestions. Thanks
Futher info was working until yesterday. Now wont sync. Does connect.

Today i installed in my pc the new activesync 4.5, but i0m unable to make a connection between my S200 and the pc!! It just isn't recognized by the pc and it does'n syncronize!!!

Ensure your network to the phone is not firewalled. In ZoneAlarm you have to change the phone network to "Trusted" zone.

When i try to install this software you gave me, my ppc simply refuses it because it says tha there is no digital signature on the program!!

I even tryed to connect it with the firewall disabeled, but i still can´t connect the ppc to activesync!!

Its weird, but usually any PPC can accept that software, tried it before with my Himalaya, Wizard and now my Prophet and all i did was install it and begin to use..
However, that error message usually happens when you have an Application Unlocked device, you can try to de-cert it first...it is really weird as i know, it only does happen with Smartphones..

This may appear crazy, but it worked for me unintentionally of course. I had given up on being able to sync via Activesync and was looking for a solution to backup my contacts before hard resetting my phone.
I had a permanent 'Synchronization Error', I just tried a piece of software posted here

This software is designed to backup contacts, but when I ran it FIXED my 'Synchronization Error', I don't know how or why, but my phone is now working with Activesync, maybe it will fix your problem too.
It won’t do any harm to try it, as all it does is create a backup of contacts.
hello, i recently upgraded from ASync 4.2 to 4.5 beta, and am now haveing a problm, i can not connect to the pc, sometimes pda connects but as a guest, and now it connects under usual name but i get a message syncronization error, hence cannot access outlook etc.
any ideas would be greatly appreciated; i have a HTC prophet.
PS: i tried to dl AS 4.2 but got a msg from 4.5 cannot DL, and when i tried to DL 4.5 beta again hoping it would repair any errors, i got a msg getting an error msg half way down the install process.
please help....!!
