I'm having issues with my Eten Dialer all of a sudden on my 8525 (wm5, never flashed the rom). When I start to dial a number, all of a sudden my Contacts screen will pop up, which is highly annoying.
I uninstalled the dialer and reinstalled another color and still have the same problem.
Is it trying to activate the smart dial or something (which I know the regular version of the eten dialer doesn't have)?
Anyone else have this problem or can offer any advice?
Or if worse comes to worse, is there another big number dialer that works well on the 8525 that you can recommend to me? (or a working cab of the eten dialer with smart dial?)

Ok, quick update. I uninstalled the eten dialer, and the same thing is happening with the native dialer (after punching in 3 or 4 digits, it launches my Contacts screen in my Outlook (Good Software).
I did go to options and try to disable smart dial, but it doesn't do anything.

One can dial to a PBA phone stantion where you can reach people by dialing an extention. Say, it can be a firm with many fellow-workers with short local phone numbers.
The big-big problem is that the standard dialer that comes with T-Mobile MDA compact does not send DTMF tones correctly. I tried a custom dialer suggested here btw to replace the standard one and it worked fine. Unfortunately, this dialer do not satisfy me by some other reasons.
The question is:
Did anybody meet this problem and did anybody succeed to solve it? Say, by replacing the T-Mobile dialer by the CE dialer or something else?
I installed the English only phone pad from the ftp site and all seemed to work well, however i just went to make a call and was typeing in the name in the phone pad so it would select the names with the number in and this didnt work?
eg to phone Jon i typed in 56 and expected it to display all those names with the name Jo or 56 in the number - but no this didnt appear? Is there anyway to get this back???

also noticed that on my old phone pad if i pressed down i could list all the last calls and missed calls - this phone pad does not have this funtionality - any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
It also appears to drop calls regularily when in 3g mode - i have since disabled 3g to see if there is any improvement! I had this same problem with my wizard - however a rom upgrade fixed that! Just really dont want to go for a rom upgrade yet as i seem to read to many horror stories about the current roms!!
disabling 3g seems to have improved the dropping of calls but still unsure why the phone pad wont do the smart search as it did do it on the tmobile phone pad before i installed english phone pad!
I have now tried to select the smart dialing options however when I select it when the phonepad is activated it does not do anything!
this is getting worse now! I can't regress back to my previous dialer it just keeps the htc blue dialler but the main problem is I can't access my voicemail messages because it doesn't recognise the tones when I press the keypad! any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been happily playing and customizing my TyTN and everything was going very smoothly until today. So, I was wondering if someone might know what the hell is going on.
Everything was working fine today in the morning. I have checked my voice mail as usual using the shortcut that gets automatically enabled in speed dial under number 1. Since then, I have installed Handmark Pocket Express, which also installed MS .NET CF 2.0 and then when I went to speed dial Voice Mail was no longer there. And I cannot create a shortcut for that number at all. It does not give me an option to use number 1. Soft Reset did not help. Installing a different SIM from my wife's phone did not help either. Before I start uninstalling and Hard Reseting, I was wondering if anyone else seen this issue before.

Go to phone ==> speed dial ==> long tap on the number 1 (first top) ==> modify, then screen phone, select fifth line "voicemail and SMS" and tap display parameters ==> then, on the voicemail screen key into the voicemail box your number to call your voicemail. After going back to the speed dial screen your voicemail should be recorded.

Missing Voicemail Speeddial
I have a similar problem, but in my case not only is the speed dial for voicemail missing, but there's no number one on the speed dial screen. When I try to create a new speed dial, the numbers that are listed as either available or already assigned begin at 2. There's no "1" on the speed dial screen so I can't use your solution, and I've created a new speed dial for voicemail, but I've assigned it to 2. How can I make speed dial 1 visible?

I've been trying to troubleshoot a problem I have when pressing my dial pad number 1 and have been unsuccessful myself, maybe one of you might have some insight. I'm running an ATT 8525 w/Black Satin Normal WM6 ROM and my organization utilizes Good Messaging for exchange server communication.
My problem is whenever I press/tap (not type and not hold) the number 1 my voicemail is auto dialed and my Good Messaging contacts are maximized. I am unable to dial any phone number that utilizes the '1' digit because of this problem unless I create a contact or type it.
I've trolled the Good tech support page and found no such problem. I've tried reinstalling Good to no avail.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE: I've installed an alternative dialer skin and all is well.
can i install a dialer skin for IM+ skype from shapeservices.com????
i want to make calls w/ that program and i would like to be able to dial out.
two other things. How can i make a link in contacts, so i can choose to dial out via the skype in shapeservices, or normal phone.
the last is i want a shortuct on my desktop to that special dialer for shape services...
i was thinkin bout this because then i could use area for contacts Have link to dial out via the skype program in shape services (because it dials via incoming calls not over VOIP) and on one of my softkeys i could like it to the dialer for the shapeservices skype program. That way i can click the green button on my phone to dial normal phone, the left softkey to dial shapeservices Skype, and my right softkey either the PCM contacts (if that is easier modded) or the original contacts (doesnt matter to me.)... anything>?
is there at least anotther program that works in the way IM+ Skype works. how you dial a skype # and it goes over the phonelines as an incoming call, that way you get full call quality as well as, since i have unlimitd incoming minutes, then i get unlimited talkin!
any other program that does this, where i can do what i want mentioned in the posts above?
