Does anyone know, which key represents the "Pause" function while dialing, as it is required by some calling cards.
In Nokia Handsets it is "p" but that does not work on the Atom.
Thanks in advance.

Does any known how to detect when user press answer button on headset? What event or message generated by system? I find only some event that occurs when user insert headset jack in phone.
The AG service gets a "AT+CKPD=200" message
What i'm interestet in ; How do you send these AT commands ?
I'm sorry, but what is "AG service"?
Audio Gateway.
As far as I remember WM5 has standart API to register AG message handler. WM2003SE and older don't have a standart way.
It's not good. I'm interested in WM2003
Voice Dialing via Bluetooth NOT available on Atom
I thought that when I bought my Atom I would have voice dialing over a Bluetooth Headset. My friend has an Exec and it works fine. However, not with the Atom. Even the latest ROM doesn't support it. I have 4 headsets, all pair in Handsfree profile, all have call answering, call ending and last number re-dial working perfectly, but none will initiate voice dialing with the Atom, but all will voice dial with my Nokia 6230.
Therefore it is not a WM5 built in feature and is still ROM dependant. It doesn't matter whether you use the built in voice program, Vito, Neuvoice or M$ Voicedial, the stack simply won't support the AT command.
C'mon O2, it's about the only thing that is crook with the Atom. Other than that it is just the worlds best pda/phone!

Couldn't agree more!
About voice dialer. I thought it was just because Atom needs bluetooth headset button to be pressed for a while to launch dialer. It acts so with wired headset. Unfortunately, i have just one bluetooth headset to play with. And it turns off after 2 sec. holding the button.
On my Dopod 818pro everything acts like a charm (VD runs after a single press), so it isn't a WM5 bug.
can someone enable activating MS Voice Command from a wired headset for WM5?
it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
I have the same problem using a bluetooth headset but if I use the wired headset supplied with my Atom it works fine.
that's good news. so, many OEMs are realizing the importance of this feature. so far, they have it in the Treo 700w and according to you, the Atom.
btw, did you have MS Voice Command pre-installed in your Atom, or did you buy it separately?
thanks,
The talk button on the wired headset is a "fake" button. It generates an special pattern in the recorded audio that it's recognized by the phone application.

Are you sure about that?
I've disembled quite a few headsets and the usual way is to shortcircut the mic-wire with one of the stereo-wires, whitch in return has to be cought by the mainboard and then translated to a command.
I'm not sure, but seems pretty feasible. That button is only used by the phone applicacion, which needs to open the wave input device.
Detecting the button pressing is pretty simple: recording at 16 bits, the average of the absolute value of the samples in complete silence is at least 100, with the talk button pressed, 6 or 7.
Greetings,
Fairly new here...got my Wing about a week ago.
I installed the PDAVIET Wing ROM with no issues (thx to everyone here on that long thread to get it going).
I have the Wing paired up with my car...no probs as the car has it's own voice recognition and simply dials the phone, etc.
My problem is this....
I have a Motorola H700 earbud. It paired no problem. Using the Wing directly, I have the right side button trigger the voice activated dialing. I than just speak and it dials whatever number I have associated. All good.
When I have my earbud on...and I press the talk button...it brings up the dial pad on the phone...NO voice recognition. I can manually press the button on the Wing...speak my number and it will dial....however that defeats the purpose of true hands-free.
When I press the call button on by earbud...how can I get the phone to jump into the voice recognition dialing instead of the regular manual keypad? I would love to be able to press the talk on my earbud...than the phone jumps to the talk mode...and I speak my saved voice dial. Otherwise, the bud is deemed useless b/c I don't want to have to touch my phone.
I hope that is all clear and that someone can help me out.
Thx in advance for any help.
PS. I went to the Bluetooth options for my H700 earbud...and the only option is what communications the earbud supports...which is only "hands-free". I was expecting a more thorough layout of earbud key mapping, etc. I thought I could trigger the voice recognition dial when I hit the talk button on the bud. None such luck.
HELP.
Cheers...B.
help...bump
I am also interested in the answer to this question. Anyone with info? Thanks!
A regedit in needed for voice dialing to work w the pdaviet rom... LaunchApEnable must be added.... somewhere... google for the issue w Voice speed dial... you'll find what you're looking for
Hi , just paired up my hero with my sony ericson bluetooth headset, does anyone know whether the hero supports voice calling, with my previous phone i recorded voice tags for people and was able to press a button on my bluetooth headset , speak the name of the person i wished to call and activate a phone call that way??
not in the european versions of android. in the us you can long-press the call button _on the phone_ to activate voice dialing. but the whole process is rather lame, and needs to be adapted to allow for true hands-free operation like it is required by law in (almost?) all of europe.
Hi.
I have Samsung wep250 Bluetooth headset, till now main button work on two ways:
- short touch call last dialed number
- long touch and release after first short beep call "voice command"
Long mode work perfect on Nokia N95, but now i have HTC Touch 2 Mega, witch was no any Voice command soft installed by default, so i install "Cyberon Voice Command" soft for tests and it work perfect, just call voice command from bluetooth headset not work.
Is there is some registry option or patch or else way to put this working?

Unfortunately, it does not work on Touch2. Besides, technical support of Cyberon wrote: "it depends on the phone vendor to decide whether they will enable this function or not. For more bluetooth supporting details, please refer to the phone vendor's technical support personnel."
Sugestion
Under "HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand" : Path = \Windows\sddialer.exe
Work ok

Please describe in more detail what you did. In the Windows folder there is no such file as sddialer.exe.
Ups my mistake, this entry is for Microsoft Voice Command software.
For Cyberon i don't know, but about this soft: it will be perfect if this soft could also announce incoming calls.
I want to "revive" this old Thread, because i have the same problem. Maybe there is an resolution out there...?
Of course there is a little Workarround: When you start the Cyberon Voice Command-Software on your Touch and then directly press the Button on your BT-Headset the Voice-Command over the Headset works.....
HandsFree is not VoiceDial
Same problem and very unlucky for this, want to use Mega with bluetooth headset and voice dial.
Tried VoiceCommander, VoiceCommand and SpeedDial, all work but do not dial with pushing Bluetooth headset button.
Changed a lot of registry paths comparing Mega registry with my old HTC Herald (which support this feature) but nothing helps.
Asked HTC Customer Helpdesk and got the following answer: Mega support HandsFreeProfile which means car and headset connection for incomming calls - but not for outgoing calls. They further stated that MS stopped this feature generel in WM6.5 and provide extra programms only for special phones which are extra noted as "support voice dialing".
So it seams to be a problem of the current bluetooth stack in WM6.5.
I installed Cyberon Voice Speed Dial on my Omnia, but not CAN initiate voice call by bluetooth. I have to trigger the application on the handset screen for a shortcut and then the call is transferred to the headset. The strange thing is that if the call comes in, that is, upon receipt of the call, I usually attend the headset. However I noticed that when you release 'button on the bluetooth headset a little more length, something like 01 seconds, fires the standard dial pad. So if you drive a bluetooth program on PPC, I think is missing only the direct action triggered by the program for bluetooth voice dialing (Cyberon), that is, assign to the bluetooth function to activate the program Cyberon Speed Voice Dial. However, if the key bluetooth is already pressing the dial pad Samsung's standard, and opens the microphone bluetooth, what is missing in my understanding, it would redirect (change) the action of the button the program you want.Se PC, I would say that would be only a matter of changing the shortcut target .. but if in the PPC do not know how .. someone help me please?
Hi Aureo,
You try to install JETware Hands-Free Extension v1.31, under menu>advance config>tick on voice dial, tqvm
Thanks, I did this, but the "voice dialing" is not enabled on my device. Displays a message (No voice dialing ...). I do not know what to do, was my good old HTC Diamond that worked all right .. but the screen I8000 is wonderful, so I insist.
